Biying buried her face deeply, held her breath, clenched her trembling teeth, and had no courage to answer the question.
The slender man stood quietly in the dim light, the corners of his mouth gradually falling back, and the expression on his face was difficult to distinguish.
Biying's throat was dry and she swallowed. She explained hard to Mingzhu: "Maybe... maybe Miss Mingzhu was kidnapped."
Zhao Shi sneered, slowly raised his eyes, and said in a very cold voice, "Call Wei Liu over."
Wei Liu is the commander of the Jinyi Guards. Now that the prince oversees the country, the token in charge of the Jin Yiwei has long been in Zhao Shi's hands, and everyone must obey his orders from top to bottom.
These days, almost all of the nursing staff secretly guarding the Ming Mansion are drawn from the Jinyi Guards.
Wei Liu couldn't care less about what he was doing. After getting the news, he rushed from the prison in Dali Temple. He was wearing a black flying fish suit, holding a horizontal knife at his waist. The strong smell of blood hit his nostrils, and there were still blood stains on the hem of his clothes that had not yet dried up.
Zhao Shi turned around, his eyelids drooped slightly, and his cold gaze slowly fell on him.
After being quiet for a long time, the elegant man suddenly raised his hand and slapped him hard.
Wei Liu's head was turned away by the slap, and he swallowed back the blood at the corner of his mouth.
On the way here, someone had already told him the matter.
The girl who was hiding in the prince's golden house ran away under their noses, and no one noticed her yet.
Wei Liu's heart sank after hearing this, but he didn't expect that Mingzhu would still be so bold and dare to escape today. In the month after she was brought back to the other courtyard by the prince, she had played the trick of running away and chasing her countless times.
Every time, Wei Liu took the guards to fetch people.
The prince has many tricks. Miss Mingzhu should have learned a lot this year. Why is she still so bold
Wei Liu received such a severe blow without any complaint. He didn't even wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth and said, "My subordinates have sent people to chase him."
Zhao Shi's voice was cold and stern, and he asked: "Is this how you look at her?!"
Wei Liu lowered his eyes: "This subordinate was careless at times and allowed His Highness to do whatever he wanted."
Zhao Shi looked at him with cold eyes and said in a low voice: "Seal the city gate. No one is allowed to leave the city without my permission."
Wei Liu raised his head and looked at His Highness the Crown Prince in surprise. Tonight was the Lantern Festival, and a hasty closure of the city would definitely cause unwarranted speculation and panic.
He gritted his teeth and said, "Your Highness, wouldn't this be too invasive?"
Zhao Shi's eyes could be said to be cold and frightening, but he was gentle and seemed to have enough murderous intent, "I told you to seal the city, and check and interrogate him carefully."
Wei Liu had no choice but to respond.
Every year the Lantern Festival in the capital is bustling with excitement, with all kinds of people coming and going on the streets, and lantern vendors selling lanterns from the streets to the end of the alleys. The scene is very spectacular.
Young girls in their prime will also put up river lanterns to make wishes on this day.
A stage was set up in advance opposite the main street restaurant, and there were singers and dancers performing on the stage, competing for beauty and oiran.
While the audience was watching in fascination, someone hurried over, breathless, and said in a panic: "I don't know what happened, the city gate is sealed!"
Everyone couldn't help but talk about it.
"Isn't there no curfew these days? How come the city is closed down?"
The man took a big gulp of cold water and continued: "I don't know, my cousin in the country just wanted to take a bullock cart to go home, but was blocked by the guards guarding the city. They said she was not allowed to leave the city without the permission of the prince. "
"Did something happen in the palace?"
"I haven't heard of it."
"It's really weird."
Someone else came out and said nonchalantly: "In my opinion, the prince has been assassinated and we are looking for the assassin."
"I think so too."
"That makes sense."
They couldn't think of anything else. The city gate was sealed, and those watching the festival suddenly lost interest and dispersed in front of the stage.
At the same time, the Ming family's mansion was also surrounded by the prince's personal soldiers. It was so airtight that not even a fly could fly out.
The uncle of the Ming family had just been drinking and was in high spirits. He was stunned for a long time when he found out what happened, "This, this, this... why did the prince surround the Ming mansion?"
Could it be that his incompetent brother did something treacherous
The uncle of the Ming family was immediately frightened by his guess and sobered up.
He glared at his younger brother fiercely, pointed at his nose and asked, "What good thing did you do again!?"
Mr. Ming just wanted to scream that he was wronged! After he was dismissed from his post, he stayed at home and could not be more real. He only drank some wine with the girls in Chunlou.
The boy next to me explained: "Uncle, it seems something happened to Miss Fifth."
Uncle Ming had a splitting headache and slammed the table angrily, "Will this little ancestor die if she doesn't do something wrong? Can't she just calm down?!"
Relying on the prince's favor at the time, she was domineering and prosperous. Let's see how he deals with her in the future.
"Uncle, it seems that Miss Mingzhu ran away..."
"What did you say?" Uncle Ming asked in disbelief.
"Miss Wu can't be found."
Uncle Ming's eyes were dark and black, and he almost couldn't catch his breath. He was helped to sit on the Taishi chair to rest, "She...she...she wants to kill our family!"
When the prince came to ask for someone, Mingzhu was reluctant in every possible way. Later, after she became the crown prince's concubine, the Ming family sent letters to Mingzhu, asking her to serve the prince well.
Mingzhu still refused and begged them to take her home in her reply.
But it is absolutely impossible for the Ming family to offend the prince for her.
The prince's threat still rang in his ears.
If Mingzhu really ran away, their Ming family would definitely be implicated.
Uncle Ming stood up slowly while holding on to the arm of the chair, "Hurry up and have someone find her for me. Once found, send her directly to the prince's annex."
When the city was closed, Mingzhu had already left the city in a carriage.
It was completely dark. Mingzhu originally did not dare to walk alone at night, but she did not have much time. When Zhao Shi came back from Changtai Mountain tomorrow and found that she had disappeared, he would soon lead someone to catch up and be caught. She was really doomed.
Mingzhu opened the car curtain, looked at the dark sky, silently clenched her fingers, and said to the coachman: "Let's go to the dock, I'm in a hurry."
The coachman refused, "Girl, where can we get a boat from this point?"
Mingzhu gritted her teeth, "Can't I give them more money?"
The coachman shook his horsewhip and continued to move forward. He said kindly: "This is not a matter of money. The tide has been high these days and it is not safe to sail at night. You should go to the pier and take the boat tomorrow morning."
Mingzhu still refused to give up, "Take me to see it."
The coachman had never seen anyone as stubborn as her, so he had to take her to the dock. Unexpectedly, he didn't even see a boatman.
The coachman kept persuading her out of good intentions, "Girl, it's getting late, you'd better go to the inn to rest first and leave later."
Mingzhu agreed, and then checked into an inn outside the city.
The innkeeper greeted the guests with a smile, tapping the abacus in his hand, "Girl, there are only two upper rooms left in our store today, and the price is a bit expensive. You see..."
Mingzhu's purse contained a lot of broken silver, and she asked, "How much?"
"I want two taels of silver."
It was indeed a bit expensive, but Mingzhu didn't care about that. Just as she was about to pay, the sound of horse hooves outside the door came from far away. The man was wearing dark clothes and had a tall figure, with a lingering chilling air.
The followers behind him are also soldiers with swords. It looks very difficult to mess with.
"Your Majesty, the horses have been settled."
"Yes." Sheng Wenlin took out a piece of silver and placed it in front of the shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper understood immediately, looked at him, and then at the entourage behind him, "Master, please."
After he said this, his eyes immediately fell in front of Mingzhu, "Girl, please wait a moment."
Mingzhu's neck stiffened and she nodded, her breath almost rising to her throat. Fortunately, she had covered her head with a veil in advance.
Prince Cheng also didn't see her face, so he probably couldn't recognize her.
Mingzhu silently turned sideways and got out of the way behind her, trying to reduce her presence.
Sheng Wenlin had already reached the stairs, and then suddenly turned around. His dark eyes stared at her quietly for a long time, "Turn around."
Mingzhu's feet were as heavy as lead, and her limbs were stiff. She stabilized her mind, slowly turned around, lowered her eyes, and did not dare to look up.
The girl's simple clothes were completely different from Qiluo Zanli's dress yesterday, but the faint fragrance on her body could not be hidden.
Sheng Wenlin suddenly remembered the fair and tender neck, the delicate and beautiful chin, and the watery eyes that he saw last night. They were so beautiful that one could not take their eyes away. He swallowed and stated directly: "Prince Are you there too?"
Mingzhu never expected that she would be recognized. She almost wanted to turn around and run away. Cold sweat broke out on her forehead. Her voice was a little shaky, so low that it was almost inaudible, "Yeah."
Sheng Wenlin looked at Pingting's figure, forced himself to move his eyes away, turned around and went upstairs.
Mingzhu's lower lip almost bled from being bitten by herself, and cold sweat ran down her back. She felt that she was really unlucky. How could she meet Sheng Wenlin by chance
I dare not keep the pearl for too long.
The shopkeeper didn't know why, "Girl, are you staying?"
Mingzhu nodded and dealt with it casually: "I forgot to bring money."
She went to the backyard to wake up the coachman and asked him to drive through the night.
The coachman was woken up from his sleep by her. He had something to complain about, but Mingzhu gave him an extra ten taels of silver to stop him.
After collecting the money, the coachman felt a little better, yawned to drive away his sleepiness, and then asked: "Girl, you don't want to take the water route anymore?"
"That's too late."
"It's okay. It's just a bit slower to take the overland route, but the journey is comfortable."
Mingzhu was not afraid of hardship. She asked, "How long will it take to get to Jiangnan from here?"
The coachman thought about it carefully and said, "No matter what, it will take more than half a month."
Mingzhu was so restless that she couldn't sleep even while leaning on the pillow.
Sheng Wenlin couldn't sleep either. When he closed his eyes, he saw the girl's loving eyes, sparkling and moving, and the face that he could never forget after seeing her once.
Slender and beautiful.
Sheng Wenlin now understands that even His Royal Highness the Crown Prince cannot control himself. She is indeed a beauty.
A slim, clean little beauty.
Looks obedient and well-behaved.
Sheng Wenlin was a little regretful. The most she could do with the prince was to be a concubine who could not see the light of day. If the person he met was him, he would be willing to take her as his aunt.
Sheng Wenlin even began to think that based on his friendship with His Royal Highness, it wouldn't be difficult to ask him for a concubine in the future.
He tossed and turned, feeling no longer sleepy. He sat up irritably, opened the window and looked, only to find that it was almost dawn.
He was so angry that he ordered his subordinates to pack their luggage and rush back to the capital.
There were an unusually large number of people guarding the city gate, and it was even more unusual for Wei Liu to be there too.
Sheng Wenlin saw Wei Liu and frowned slightly, "Why did Mr. Wei come to see the city gate?"
Wei Liu said: "Of course there is something important."
Sheng Wenlin was surprised, "What's the matter? Tell me."
Wei Liu didn't intend to hide it from him, "The prince's concubine is missing."
Sheng Wenlin was stunned for a while, what do you mean missing? Why don't you go out of the city with the prince
He suddenly realized that he might have been deceived by her.
Sheng Wenlin's eyes changed.
Wei Liu looked at him strangely and then said, "He ran away in a carriage. I don't know if he ran out of the capital."
Sheng Wenlin was silent for a while, and after much deliberation he decided not to hide it, "I'll see her."
"You see ?! Where are you?"
"Last night, it was an inn outside the city. No, she should have run away last night." Sheng Wenlin didn't understand what she was running from? Is it a trick of playing hard to get, or is it a jealousy-based tactic in the backyard.
He calmly analyzed: "It should be in the direction of Jiangnan. If you follow this road and let people chase you, you will catch up soon."
Wei Liu bowed to him and said, "Thank you, Your Majesty."
"You're welcome." Sheng Wenlin couldn't help but ask, "What did the prince say?"
For such a big fight, he must be very angry.
Wei Liu told the truth: "You want to see people alive, and you want to see the body when dead."
One more thing, if you catch someone and refuse to come back, don't be polite, just keep your temper and take the person back to the capital.
Sheng Wenlin hummed absentmindedly. He had not slept all night and his brain was swollen and aching. He had no extra energy to care about other people's affairs, so he got on his horse and went back to his house to rest.
Wei Liu followed Sheng Wenlin's instructions and inspected the route. He interrogated the innkeeper and immediately went to the Prince's Mansion to reply after getting the news.
In the study, Zhao Shi had a chess game in front of him. With a calm expression on his face, he asked calmly: "Have you found the person?"
Wei Liu respectfully replied: "Run to the south of the Yangtze River."
Zhao Shi was not surprised by this answer. Mingzhu's mother is from Jiangnan.
He just couldn't understand, how could she still escape without saying a word
He didn't treat her badly.
Occasionally he loses control when it comes to bed matters, but he is also very measured and will not hurt her. The girl's face was flushed and she hugged his neck and cried twice, and he would soften.
Except that the supervision is a little tighter. There are no restrictions elsewhere.
Gold, silver, silk, silk, none of them were treated badly by her.
This year, Zhao Shi thought that he had softened her temperament. There were several times when he got up early and left, and the little girl sleeping vaguely on the bed would still linger on his fingers and look at her. Looking into his eyes, it wasn't that there was no emotion at all.
Could it be that this is all just an act
"Two days, I will only give you one day at most. If you find the person, I will catch him myself."
"yes."
When Wei Liu left the Prince's Mansion, he was worried about this young lady from the Ming family. He couldn't guess what would happen in the future.
Zhao Shi sat quietly for a moment, frowning in thought.
He began to recall when she started planning this? She said twice that she missed home and shed a few tears in front of him, tricking him into letting her go back.
Of course, she is still the same little liar.
When you open your mouth, there are only lies.
No, she was smarter this time, and she even knew how to steal the deed of betrayal hidden in his study, as well as the way to pass the customs.
Zhao Shi remembered that she never liked going to his study, but she was very unusual in those days. She would bring bowls of tonic soup to see him from time to time.
Being timid and shy, she would even blush and kiss him in the study room, begging for sex.
It turns out that this was all her ulterior motive.
Take advantage of his rare moment of confusion and infatuation to steal these two important things from his study.
Zhao Shi sneered when he thought about this. He endured it again and again, but the chess game in front of him was still overturned by him.
When the maids in the house heard the noise, they were all as quiet as ice, and they didn't dare to breathe too hard.
After a long pause, Zhao Shi ordered in a cold voice, "Bring me her little maid."
Soon, Arou was brought up in front of Zhao Shi. Her legs and feet became weak and she knelt on the ground with a thump.
Zhao Shilen sneered.
Arou's eyes were red, her expression shrank, and she was extremely scared.
"Where did she go?"
"This slave doesn't know."
"Don't know?" Zhao Shi kicked her on the shoulder. Arou flew out and hit the corner of the table hard, causing severe pain in her lower back.
Zhao Shi knew that this maid was loyal to Mingzhu, so he couldn't ask anything, so he said expressionlessly: "Take her down and lock her up."
Zhao Shi is very thoughtful and can think clearly about everything. He originally didn't give Mingzhu a penny of money because he was afraid that she would save enough money and run away. The gold and silver jewelry he gave her were all treasures picked from thousands of miles away. He thought that no one in the capital would dare to accept them, but he didn't know. There are people who are not afraid of death and want money rather than their lives.
He let her pawn the jewelry and exchanged it for money to escape.
If you really can't find the person...
No, even if he digs three feet into the ground, he will get the person back.
You just can't be too nice to her, you should tie her up with a rope and rub her hard.
He will never soften for her tears in the future, and he will be deceived by her in just a few words.
She didn't want to stay in another courtyard anymore so that she could feel at ease.
The more Zhao Shi thought about it, the angrier he became. He didn't come back to his senses until the attendants outside reminded him that he had arrived at the palace.
The personal guards in the Ming Mansion have not yet withdrawn, and they are heavily guarded.
Unfortunately, Zhao Shi ran into Wei Chiyu who was walking down to court at the gate of the palace. He stared at Wei Chiyu's face for a long time. It was clean and comely, and he was indeed good-looking.
Zhao Shi sneered for no reason, but Wei Chiyu was also naive, thinking that a person with no power or power like him could control Mingzhu
He couldn't tell whether he was feeling bitter or jealous, but he didn't like anything he saw now.
Mingru was happy to learn that Mingzhu had escaped and ate two more bowls of rice.
Mrs. Xu also rarely showed joy, "It's best for her not to come back."
What a disaster.
In fact, Mrs. Xu did not want to agree to the marriage between Mingzhu and Wei Chiyu at the beginning. She had an affair. This concubine was beautiful and good at recruiting people, and Wei Chiyu was a person who could see that he had a bright future. The closer the two of them were to each other, the more uncomfortable she felt. To put it bluntly, she just couldn't see this concubine living a good life.
So before, the people she matched with Mingzhu were either widowers or dandy boys with idle wives and concubines who were ugly and had bad morals.
Wei Chiyu's proposal of marriage was caught off guard. She had no precautions and no reason to refuse, otherwise she would be criticized, so she had to grit her teeth and agree to the engagement.
"It would be better if she died on the road." Mingru said with a smile.
Mrs. Xu raised her eyebrows, "It doesn't matter, she won't have a good life now even if she is captured by the prince. You, just wait and wait to get married."
Mingru's face turned red and she was a little shy, "Yeah."
As someone who has come before, Ms. Xu patted her hand and said, "I will give birth to two children for His Highness the Crown Prince as soon as possible. With the children, your status in the East Palace will be secure."
Mingru's ambition goes far beyond that. She wants His Highness the Crown Prince to truly love her and treat her as his only wife. Let each other grow old together.
"good."
Two more days passed like this.
Wei Liu's people finally tracked down the whereabouts of Mingzhu. A knife was held on the neck of the carriage driver in the capital. Looking at the fierce man in front of him, his body was shaking like chaff. Do not kill me."
Wei Liu lowered his head and looked at him coldly, "Where is the girl on the carriage."
The coachman didn't dare to hide it, so he revealed everything he knew, "She changed it to a carriage, gave me money and sent me away."
The blade was a little closer to the skin.
The driver was so frightened that he peed his pants and burst into tears at every turn, "What I said is all the truth! Don't kill me."
"Then where is she now?"
"We have just arrived in Yuncheng, and we will take a boat to the south at night."
Wei Liu kicked him away, tied him up and threw him aside.
"You take people to Yuncheng to keep an eye on her. I will go back to His Highness the Crown Prince immediately. Don't alert the enemy."
"yes."
Mingzhu didn't know yet that she was surrounded. After two days of traveling and traveling, she barely closed her eyes and had a good night's sleep.
I feel anxious and uneasy all day long.
Mingzhu fetched water and took a bath, changed into casual clothes, hugged her baggage tightly and went to bed, her head touched the pillow and she fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was dark.
Mingzhu's stomach growled. She went downstairs and bought two buns on the street. Holding the buns in her hands, she couldn't help but stop when she smelled the scent of wontons.
Mingzhu was under strict control by Zhao Shi before. This one was not allowed to be eaten and that one was not allowed to be touched.
Now that I am free, I want to try everything.
She sat down and ordered a small portion of wontons. She added a lot of chili powder to the soup, and she was sweating from the spicy taste after taking a sip of the soup.
After finishing the wontons, Mingzhu hurried back to the inn. I don't know if she is too naive, but she always feels like someone is watching her from behind.
She closed the door, and the feeling of being watched became better.
Mingzhu felt that she had traveled so far, and Zhao Shi's attempt to find her was like looking for a needle in a haystack, which was even more difficult.
He is a person who makes others secretly sulky for a long time just looking at her, so it is absolutely impossible to post his portrait.
Mingzhu comforted herself like this, blew out the candles, climbed into bed and hugged the pillow and continued to sleep.
The capital city was covered with dark clouds, thunder was rolling, and it was about to rain heavily.
The light in the house was dim, and there was a ray of light from the window.
Wei Liu hurriedly sent the news back to the capital, half-kneeling in front of Zhao Shi, "Your Highness, the person has been found in Yuncheng."
The man looked at the heavy rain outside the window and said mockingly, "She ran quite fast."
In just two days, we arrived in Yuncheng.
Wei Liu was not sure what to do. If it were a man, he would have escorted him back to the capital long ago, but after all, this was His Highness the Crown Prince's flesh. If he bumped into it, he was afraid that the Crown Prince would be unhappy.
Zhao Shi closed the window and his sleeves were splashed by the rain. He didn't care. He held the red rope braided in Fuyuan Temple in his hand and said, "Lead the way, I will catch the person myself."
The sky was dark, there was a sound of rain showers, and raindrops pattered on the windowsill.
Mingzhu was woken up by the huge thunder, and then she couldn't sleep. She sat up and poured herself a cup of tea. The bitter taste in the cup completely dispelled her sleepiness.
As the sound of rain outside the window gradually subsided and the sky turned white, the sounds in the inn gradually increased.
The door was kicked open and the door bolt flew into the distance. The dozing waiter was so frightened that he jumped up.
He looked up and saw that there were many guards with swords in the lobby, wearing black clothes and black boots, with expressionless faces, and they all looked like evil spirits.
The leader of the man was full of murderous intent, with a short scar between his eyebrows and strong facial features, and he looked like he had killed many people on the battlefield.
The waiter's calves were shaking, "Sir, are you staying in the hotel?"
Wei Liu glanced over coldly: "Shut up."
The waiter saw the man next to him again. He was in black uniform, elegant and elegant, with a long body, extremely white skin, extremely cold face, eyebrows and eyes as cold as snow and frost. He frowned slightly, straightened the corners of his mouth, looked at him, and said lightly: "Which floor is it?"
The waiter was so overwhelmed by the aura that he didn't dare to raise his head, and subconsciously avoided these eyes, "Sir, what did you say?"
Wei Liu answered for him: "Your Highness, it's on the third floor, in the room on the right side of the stairs."
Zhao Shi hummed and walked upstairs slowly.
Wei Liu and others followed, and all the layers in the inn were surrounded.
Mingzhu upstairs had already heard the sound, her face turned pale, and she locked the doors and windows with trembling hands. Most of the strength had been taken away from her body. She leaned against the door and slowly slid to the ground.
She didn't expect that Zhao Shi would bring someone to find him so quickly.
I never thought he would come after me personally.
Mingzhu's mind is in a mess right now and she doesn't know what to do.
In desperation, she opened the crack in the window and wanted to jump out of the window. Fortunately, she glanced at and saw that all the guards downstairs had drawn their swords.
Zhao Shi was already standing outside the door. He knocked politely and said in a steady voice, "Zhuzhu, open the door."
Mingzhu gritted her teeth, not daring to let out a single sound.
Zhao Shi sighed, "Do you want me to kick in the door?"
Pearl was as tight as a string, with watery eyes at the end. She stepped back step by step, knocking over the chair, and her whole body fell to the ground. In panic, she quickly got up, and glanced at the wardrobe opposite the bed, thinking Cover your ears and hide in the cupboard.
The man outside the door no longer has this patience.
The door, which is in a state of disrepair, can be opened with just a little force.
Mingzhu stood in front of him at a loss, wearing single clothes, her face was pale and trembling.
Zhao Shi told everyone behind him to get out in a cold voice.
Mingzhu seemed to be unable to move at all and stood there blankly. Zhao Shi grabbed her wrist forcefully and pulled her in front of him, "Have you had enough fun?"
Mingzhu's tears rolled down at the same time.
Zhao Shi's expression paused, and after a few seconds, he reached out and touched her eyes, and said slowly: "Put away your tears, don't try to lie to me again."
He added: "Besides, it's not time for you to cry yet."
On the way here, all the methods Zhao Shi thought of were of no use to her. Was it her turn to cry
Mingzhu suddenly struggled, not wanting to be a weak and incompetent person, she said, "I don't like you, please let me go."
Zhao Shi stared at her coldly, pinched her waist and asked, "Where do you want to go?"
Mingzhu didn't say anything, just stared at him with red eyes.
Zhao Shi was so angry that he pinched her chin, "Let me tell you straight, if you dare to run away with someone else, I will kill him and hang his body in front of you. If you don't believe me, you can give it a try."
It was rare for Mingzhu to see him like this, his whole body filled with hostility.
She was still struggling, but Zhao Shi's palm struck her on the back of the neck, knocking her unconscious.
Zhao Shi covered her body with his robe, carried the unconscious person downstairs, "Go back to the capital."
The carriage stopped directly at the Prince's Mansion.
The degree of heavy military security here is not inferior to that of other courtyards.
Mingzhu was much more well-behaved when she was asleep than when she was awake. She was quiet and didn't cry or make any noise. Zhao Shi put her on the bed and saw the door and window were open. The anger came from nowhere. He ordered with a cold face: "Let people come." Come and nail the windows shut.”
"yes."
The people below will only obey the orders of the prince.
Not long after, the steward of the mansion took people to board up the windows of the house.
Mingzhu had many scattered dreams, and when she woke up dizzy, there was no light in the room. She sat up, only to find that her hands were tied up with red rope.
Mingzhu looked around. This room seemed strange and familiar to her.
She has never been here, but she seems to have seen her again in her dream.
Suddenly, the door of the room was pushed open from outside, and the man slowly walked in, with the cold moonlight behind him. He did not light a lamp, and his face was covered with light, "Are you awake?"
"Where is this?"
"Prince's Mansion."
Mingzhu's head sank suddenly. She looked down and saw that her clothes had also been changed.
It seemed that Zhao Shi had changed it for her personally.
Mingzhu was caught back just two days after her escape. She was dejected and frustrated, but at the moment she didn't have much fear. If he was so angry with her that he would never come to her again, that wouldn't be a bad thing.
Mingzhu put her hand in front of his eyes and said, "Please help me untie it."
Zhao Shi ignored him.
Mingzhu lowered her face: "I'm not your pet."
Zhao Shi hummed indifferently, held her wrist, looked at the red rope tied on it, and smiled: "Don't you like it?"
"No one will like it."
He touched her face, "But there's nothing I can do."
Zhao Shi rolled up her trouser legs again and looked at the wound on her knee. The bruises and red marks had not completely faded. He silently picked up the plaster and applied it to her.
Mingzhu didn't think Zhao Shi would reveal such a big thing easily, but he did appear to be particularly calm.
After applying the medicine, Zhao Shi raised his head again and said to her: "I don't want to threaten you. Next time, don't blame me for sacrificing innocent people to heaven."
An understatement.
The weight crushed her shoulders.
Mingzhu sniffed her red nose, feeling a little desperate. He couldn't escape, and his life was in his hands. He could only take one step at a time.
She lowered her head and said nothing.
Zhao Shi sighed helplessly and looked at her. His tone was inexplicably gentle, but it made people feel scared, "Zhuzhu, do you have to let me tie you up with a chain before you will obey me?"
