Guangji Temple is a very small temple. Lianhua was mentally prepared, but she was still stunned when she saw it.
Passing through the poplar forest on the mountain, leaning against the edge of the hillside, facing Daning Mansion at the foot of the mountain to the south, there is a row of small wooden houses. The bark on the walls has not even been shaved off, and the roof is densely piled with thatch leaves. Quietly, no one was around. Although it is said that "winding paths lead to secluded places, and the meditation room is deep with flowers and trees", there are almost only flowers and trees left here.
Seeing her stunned expression, Zhu Di smiled and said: "This is it. There are not many Buddhists in Daning Mansion, so no one comes. Now, the incense of Taiqing Temple is very strong."
Lian Hua chuckled: "No wonder Master Dao'an said back then, 'If you don't obey the Lord of the country, it will be difficult to accomplish the Dharma'. It's normal for Prince Ning to worship Taiqing and the people to follow him. What's more, he also has the Penglai Jade Seal and the Golden Sun Talisman. What a magical power! "
Zhu Di also laughed: "Seventeenth brother has liked these things since he was a child. My father didn't let him go too far when he was at home. Now he finally gets what he wants." Somewhat curious: "Is Buddhism prosperous in North Korea?"
"The royal family of the Goryeo Dynasty believed in Buddhism. Temples were built in various places, and Buddhism was widely promoted. Father," Lianhua paused: "Even the current king of North Korea also believes in Buddhism. However, many rules have been established, and temples can only be outside the city. Monks are not allowed to enter the city, etc. I am probably worried too.”
Zhu Di knew that the North Korean king Li Chenggui and Li Dan came to the throne by himself. He repeatedly wrote to the Ming Dynasty to request canonization, but his father had not yet agreed. Therefore, although he was the actual king of North Korea, he only claimed to the Ming Dynasty that he had "the right to know the state affairs of North Korea." Even the title of Princess Yining was not actually canonized, it was just acquiescence in the imperial decree of the father. The Goryeo Dynasty has a history of more than 400 years, and there are certainly many loyal ministers and remnants. The king of Joseon was afraid that the temples would become too powerful, so he took precautions. He asked casually: "Your Majesty, is he a general from the Goryeo Dynasty?"
"Yes, it turns out that I and my father were ministers of the same dynasty." Lianhua said with some hesitation: "This time the Mongols kidnapped me, it was actually the idea of the former Goryeo Crown Prince Wang Shi. I met him at Cheche'er Mountain because I wanted to You want to use me to blackmail your father. In fact, you can’t blame the prince." The Korean royal family is the old owner, and Lianhua is still very protective when talking about it.
"Oh, what happened to Wang Shi?"
"I escaped later and never saw him."
Zhu Di thought attentively: "There are no Koreans among the prisoners. We need to check this."
"If you find it, please don't let it go," Lianhua said with some difficulty: "It will embarrass the Crown Prince."
Zhu Di smiled carelessly: "Are you still so polite to me? This is Guangji Temple. There is a Buddha to help you. I don't dare to offend you."
Lianhua couldn't help but smile: "I have entered the main hall."
Zhu Di nodded, stood with his hands behind his hands, and waited outside in the forest. King Ning had already taken Ma Sanbao and Wang Jinghong back to deal with the five Japanese pirates. King Yan specially accompanied Lianhua to Guangji Temple. The afternoon sun passed through the poplar forest and shone on his broad and burly back.
The main hall is a slightly taller wooden house with two large wooden doors and a rather high threshold. Lianhua entered the main hall and saw that the ones enshrined were not the common Sakyamuni Buddha, but Medicine Buddha and Sunlight and Moonlight Bodhisattva. She was startled again, then she dressed herself up and bowed down slowly.
The full name of Medicine Buddha is Medicine Buddha Glazed Light Tathagata, also known as the Great Medical King Buddha. Medicine King Buddha is good at passing away or dispelling disasters and prolonging life. He is the leader of the pure glazed world of Buddhism in the East. The name Liuli refers to the bright and clear color of Liuli, which is a metaphor for the peace and purity of the land.
According to the Sutra of the Merit and Virtue of the Original Vows of the Seven Buddhas of Medicine Glazed Light, Medicine Master Tathagata made twelve great vows when he was practicing the Bodhisattva Way in the Cause Land. Each vow was for the purpose of healing all living beings' illnesses, eradicating all living beings' suffering, and fulfilling all living beings' wishes, so that all living beings can realize Bodhi early. Also seek happiness in this world. After becoming a Buddha based on this vow, he always fulfilled his great vow. It can cure diseases of life and death, so it is called a pharmacist; it can illuminate the darkness of the three existences, so it is a cloud of glazed light.
Lotus bowed three times, knelt on the spot, and looked up at the three Medicine Masters.
The Medicine Buddha is in the shape of a conch with hair on his head, holding a medicine pot in his left hand, and making the seal of giving and wishing in his right hand; Sunlight Bodhisattva stands on a lotus throne, and wears a halo on his head, which is the compassionate original wish of "the sun will emit thousands of rays to illuminate the world and break the darkness"; Moonlight Bodhisattva Standing with the wind, her skirt flutters, and the light behind her shines brightly. Although this hall is narrow and simple, the three Buddha statues are lifelike. The good eyes of Medicine Master Tathagata look down at the lotus with infinite compassion.
The eyes of the lotus flower were not aware of the mist, and she thought silently in her heart: "I pray to Namo Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata to give me immeasurable wisdom and expedients, so that all sentient beings can walk on the path of Bodhi and live peacefully in the Mahayana Dharma..."
I don't know how long it took, but my heart gradually calmed down. I bowed three more times, got up, straightened my clothes, and walked to the back hall.
After leaving the back door of the main hall, I saw an old monk sitting cross-legged on the floor in the courtyard at the door. His beard and eyebrows were white and his face was full of wrinkles. The monk's robe was patched and patched, and the original color could no longer be seen. Hearing the footsteps of the lotus, he slowly opened his eyes, but they were warm and transparent, with deep light.
Lianhua suddenly thought of Master Zichao and couldn't help but kneel down in front of the old monk.
The old monk smiled and said: "I am Hui Guang, the abbot here, and the female benefactor came from afar to work hard."
Lotus bowed and said, "I have met the master. The little girl Yi Ning is a converted disciple of Buddhism and studied under Master Zichao of Caoxi Zen Sect in North Korea."
Huiguang asked: "Is it that Zichao who has traveled to study our dynasty for more than 20 years?"
"Exactly. Master, do you recognize your master?"
"I met Zichao several times in Jiangnan, and it's been thirty years since we last met. I didn't expect his disciples to be so old. Are you okay with Zichao?"
"Thanks to Master, everything is fine with Master. He is now the King's Master to the King of Joseon."
At some point, Zhu Di came in and stood behind Lianhua, looking at the two of them and listening quietly.
"Master Wang... I have become more enthusiastic since I got older. Why do monks want these common names?"
Lianhua didn't answer and asked, "Does Master Huiguang recognize Master Huiren?"
Hui Guang said calmly: "Hui Ren is my senior brother, and your Korean Hui Qin is my junior brother. We all came from Tianxi Temple."
Lianhua was a little happy, took out the glazed pagoda from her arms, and asked: "Master, do you know this thing?"
Hui Guang's wrinkled old face flashed with light, and immediately returned to the calmness of a dead tree: "The Glazed Pagoda has come to you? This is the treasure tower passed down from generation to generation by my master. The master gave it to senior brother Hui Ren before his death. I have been here for more than thirty years. I have never seen this pagoda, it is an old thing from my master, but when I first saw it, I was moved by it, which made the girl laugh."
Lianhua was curious: "The master passed down from generation to generation... How old is this tower?"
"It is said that this pagoda was passed down from the Song Dynasty, and was passed down from generation to generation in the Song and Yuan dynasties. But it is not a token of the master's sect. There must be a reason for it to be given to Zichao by senior brother Huiren." Huiguang said, looking at the pagoda carefully. Then he looked at the lotus and asked, "How many times has the girl been in trouble?"
Lotus was stunned. Huiguang continued: "It is said that this pagoda descends to the mortal world to overcome tribulations, and when encountering disaster, it turns into auspiciousness. Every time it transforms, the light of the pagoda shines brighter and brighter until all seven colors are completely transparent, completing the tribulation. I don't know whether the rumors are true or not. I look at this pagoda The colors of the seven-colored treasures are very different from the previous ones, so I made a wild guess."
Lianhua was stunned and opened her mouth wide. Zhu Di remained silent behind him.
Hui Guang sighed: "As a member of the Buddhist sect, the five aggregates are all empty, and we should not be superstitious about supernatural powers. However, the Buddha's Dharma is boundless, and the Buddha has a compassionate heart, and he often needs the help of external objects to achieve enlightenment."
Huiguang continued: "Miss Yining, it is my Buddhist disciple's original wish to save all sentient beings. Even if you are in trouble for a while, you should not belittle yourself. You might as well recite the Great Compassion Mantra more. It is said that in order to survive the tribulation in this pagoda, you need to hear the Great Compassion Mantra 99.99 million times. "Spell"." He glanced at Zhu Di and said: "The benefactor behind the girl is even more responsible. I believe that the pagoda is in the hands of the two of you for a reason."
Lianhua couldn't help but ask: "What big responsibility?"
Hui Guang smiled: "In the shape of a dragon, a tiger, and a sun horn reaching into the sky, the fate of the people and the country rests in his own hands. You two know it for yourself, but I won't send it away." After saying this, he closed his eyes and did not look at the two of them again.
Lianhua didn't quite understand, so she continued to sit on her knees. She also wanted to hear Master Huiguang talk about the master's past, wanted to ask him why he came to Daning, and wanted to ask him what the current situation of the two masters Hui Ren and Hui Qin was like.
After waiting for a long time, Hui Guang did not open his eyes, and sat in meditation with his eyes closed, motionless. Lotus had no choice but to salute and leave sadly.
When King Yan and Lian Hua left Guangji Temple, the sun was setting, the twilight was dim, and smoke was curling up in Daning Prefecture in the distance. "Smoke rises from the city, and the mountain air condenses," Zhu Di said in a low voice, looking down the mountain from afar. Liangjiu smiled and said, "It's been a busy day, and I'm a little hungry."
Lian Hua knew that he was just thinking about Hui Guang’s words. The dragon was in the shape of a tiger and the sun was rising into the sky. Master Hui Guang was very courageous. He smiled softly and asked, "What do you want to eat? Let's go back to the house."
Zhu Di thought for a while: "Kimchi, miso soup, cold noodles, pickles, tofu soup, scallion pancakes... I want to eat everything you make."
Lianhua blushed: "If you like it, I will do it every day."
Zhu Di stared at her, his head half lowered, his pink face was dizzy, and a few strands of black hair were scattered on a small section of his snow-white neck, looking indescribably shy and touching.
Zhu Di sighed softly: "Do you want to be with me for the rest of your life?"
Lianhua blushed all the way to her neck and didn't know how to answer. My heart was beating fast, my head hung lower, but my heart was full of joy and sweetness.
Zhu Di hesitated for a moment and said: "The Tieling Guards reported your kidnapping to the Ministry of War last month. The reply from the imperial court has not been received yet."
Lianhua was startled and raised her head to look at King Yan.
Zhu Di stared at the lotus: "It is impossible to hide your matter, but it is not impossible to think about. Yi Ning, this is the first time in my life that I am so tempted. Are you willing to stay with me? As long as you are willing, I will Think of ways to."
Lianhua opened her eyes wide and asked, "Is there anything I can do? I can't let you deceive me."
Zhu Di was stunned. Yes, all the methods I had thought of, whether it was cheating or cheating to die and repatriation, were all deceiving the court and deceiving my father. It was impossible to openly say that I liked her. She is, after all, his niece-in-law.
She is so devout in her faith, how could she be allowed to lie and break her precepts? Looking into Lotus's clear eyes, King Yan, who had always been bold and fearless, was silent for a moment.
Lianhua looked at Zhu Di, and her heart of faint expectation slowly sank, sinking straight into the cold pond, full of chills. Yes, there is no other way.
But deceiving the king? He is King Yan of the Ming Dynasty, the overlord of the northern empire. Just now Master Huiguang said that he has a great responsibility! What's more, he is the man she has fallen in love with for the first time. She only wants to help him and support him. How can she harm him
The mist in his eyes slowly rose, and tears fell one by one on the grass.
Zhu Di stretched out his arms and gently hugged the lotus. Feeling the ups and downs of her sobs in my arms, I knew for the first time in my life what it meant to be heartbroken.
After a long time, Lianhua raised her head and forced a smile: "Isn't the reply from the imperial court not coming yet? Let's talk about it then. Wang Jinghong will leave tomorrow, at least I can wait for his news?"
Zhu Di raised his sleeves and gently wiped away the tears on Lianhua's face, and said slowly: "Okay, let's wait for Jinghong to come back first."
Lianhua smiled and said: "Go back home. I'm hungry too. I'll go back and make something delicious."
Zhu Di stared at her, his eyes full of tenderness and doting, and said with a smile: "Okay, let's go back and make delicious food."
The sun has set, and patches of orange-red sunset still cover half of the sky. The evening breeze blows, and the poplar leaves rustle.
The two of them looked at each other and smiled, and their sadness was even more sweet. Yes, what will happen tomorrow? let's talk tomorrow. At least in this life, I met him.
