The past July was the new book month after "Long Live the Coach" was released. A total of 240,000 words were updated. To be honest, I was quite dissatisfied. I originally thought I could update 280,000 to 300,000 words.
Dreams are full and reality is skinny. This new way of writing is much more difficult than I imagined.
When I was writing "The All-Around Athlete", there were copycat works even before they were put on the shelves. After they were put on the shelves, there were more and more works that followed the trend. As for "Long Live the Coach", it would be very difficult for other authors to follow the trend.
I personally analyzed it and found that this writing method is really difficult to control. The requirements for plot design, author's writing skills, and rhythm control are relatively high, and it is easy for the writing to collapse if you are not careful.
It's the same as changing projects and maps, but I need to come up with different plots. Many times, I even feel like I'm writing a suspense novel.
After all, sports works are too unpopular. There are veteran authors with sufficient writing skills who will not write sports novels. They write about cities and fantasy and make a lot of money easily. New authors with average writing skills and limited writing skills cannot imitate them. Due to the writing style and characteristics of "Long Live the Coach", I feel that this book is destined to be a sports article with a unique style.
To sum up myself, I wrote very slowly. In addition to the difficulty of writing, I probably didn’t work hard enough.
In fact, every day I unconsciously think about how to write the next chapter, how to write the next plot, what kind of character should appear, and what kind of story this character will have. I was thinking about it while eating, thinking about it before going to bed, thinking about it when I woke up, and thinking about it when I was driving to my parents’ house.
However, when I type my ideas into words, I always feel dissatisfied, so I delete and rewrite them, rearrange the plot, and rearrange the characters.
My editor has been encouraging me and telling me that I have prepared enough material. However, when I was actually writing, I found that the material library was never enough. No matter how many there were, it would never be enough, so the speed could never be improved.
Thinking about it carefully, since I started this book and since there are so many readers supporting me, I always have to persevere and I have to do my best!
In August, first set a small goal for yourself, an update standard of at least 200,000 words! This number should be considered mid-range at the starting point.
On the first day of the month, we still have to compete for monthly tickets. Brothers and sisters, please support one or two monthly tickets to pass the test.
I promised to break out today and do my best.
thank you all!
