Chapter 5: Scroll of Water (1)

Views:

The core of the spirit of "Two Days First Class" is the spirit of water, which is to use water as a teacher, so that the spirit of water can penetrate into the practice of warfare. Therefore, I call this volume the water scroll, and its main content is about how to use the sword to win.

Although I cannot express some art of war in words at all, I can express it intuitively through practice. If you just read this book as a general military book and read it in general terms, there will be many errors. Therefore, for every word I write, I must study it carefully and think carefully.

Although what this volume writes is only the swordsmanship used in the confrontation between the two, if it is enlarged to the confrontation between the two armies, the swordsmanship will become the art of war.

If there is a misunderstanding of such important national events as the art of war, they will go astray.

Of course, wanting to get the true meaning of the art of war just by reading this book is a wishful thinking and requires a lot of practice. Therefore, don't blindly read dead books and read books; instead, you must learn and use lively, mastery, and improve yourself in practice. This is the right way to master the true meaning of the art of war.

Mentality

At all times, one must maintain a normal heart. Even in a duel, there can be no ups and downs in my heart. Always be open and straightforward, be at the balance point between tension and slack, be impartial, and maintain a calm and relaxed state of mind. In this way, you can cope with all changes without change.

The heart cannot calm down when it is quiet, but it cannot be anxious when it is anxious; neither can the mind be dragged down by the body, nor can the body be affected by the spirit. You must try to focus your attention on your heart, not on your body. Neither can make the heart feel something lacking, nor can it make the heart feel something superfluous. You must show your weakness, even though your heart is very strong, you can't let anyone see through your mentality. People who are short must work hard to understand the mentality of tall people; conversely, people who are tall must work hard to understand the mentality of people who are short. No matter how tall or short, they must keep their mentality away from subjective prejudice. Misled by subjective bias.

If we want to keep our inner world in a pure and cheerful state at all times, and consider issues from a high angle, we need to wipe our minds from time to time. When we have cultivated our minds to the point where we can distinguish right from wrong, and when we study various arts, we can lift the veil covering all affairs and understand the nature of affairs. Only then can we understand the true meaning of the art of war and become a man. Top swordsman.

As a science of war, the art of war naturally has its special features. It is necessary to keep the principles of the art of war in mind, even in fierce battles.

posture

The art of war has its own posture, and it requires those who learn to do it: raise your head and chest, and your head should be unbiased; do not squint, and your eyes must be firm; foreheads must not be frowned, eyebrows must not be wrinkled; eyes must not be moved around; eyes slightly closed ; The look is calm; the lower jaw should be slightly forward; the neck should be straight and not bent. Keep your hands drooping naturally; keep your spine straight, raise your hips and tuck your abdomen; focus your weight between your feet.

The short knife worn should be close to the abdomen so that the belt does not become loose. This is called "don't enter" in Japanese.

Generally speaking, the sword posture that is usually trained is the sword posture in a duel. This point requires special attention.

Eyes

One has to broaden the field of vision, and the line of sight must be larger and wider. "Viewing" and "seeing" belong to two completely different eye methods. "View" is to look carefully, and "to see" is to look casually. The characteristic of the art of war is to be able to watch as you want, to think far away, and to be near as close as you want.

An important point of the art of war is that you can feel the presence of the enemy's weapon without looking at the weapon in the opponent's hand. To do this, it is impossible without a lot of practice.

Regardless of whether it is swordsmanship or warfare, their eyesight is the same.

You must be able to see the situation on both sides even if your eyes are not moving at all.

In an emergency, it is often difficult for people to do this. Therefore, you must remember the knack of contacting the eye method and practice it all the time, so that you can do this no matter what the situation is.

The correct way to hold the sword

When holding a big sword, the handle of the knife should be close to the palm of your hand, and there should be no gap in between. The ring finger and the small finger tightly clasp the handle inward, the thumb and index finger clasp the handle lightly, and the middle finger should rest on the handle neither tightly nor loosely.

When you are ready to take a knife, you shouldn't have any thoughts in your mind other than how to knock down the enemy. When you slash at your opponent, don't deform the way you hold the knife, hold it, and don't have any shaking in your hand, let alone any hesitation or hesitation. When you attack or block an enemy's knife, the grip of your thumb and index finger can be slightly changed; however, in any case, the reason why you hold the knife to defeat the enemy cannot be changed.

Whether you are trying the knife or in a real fight, the knife should be held in the same way. Always hold the knife with the mentality of defeating the opponent.

Generally speaking, Taichi and hands cannot be set in stone. Invariability is a dead end, it can also be said that smart is the living hand. This must be carefully understood. In footwork, focus on the back heel so that the toes can change flexibly. According to different situations, the attack stride can be used flexibly, and the size can be appropriate. This is optional. The most important thing is that the beat should be consistent with normal walking.

Footwork

What needs to be mastered in footwork is: exert pressure on the heel to leave room for movement of the toes. The situation is different. There are no rules for the offensive strides, which are large or small, and fast or slow. The most important thing is to keep your footsteps steady, just like normal walking, with even force. Remember to avoid floating, striding, and stepping.

One of the most important footwork is: Yin and Yang step. This must be mastered. The meaning of "yin and yang step" is: Don't just move one foot. Whether you are fighting, closing moves, or avoiding, you should use the "yin and yang step", turning from left to right, and from front to back. The right foot moves forward, and the left foot follows immediately; the right foot retreats, and the left foot immediately retracts. The big taboo in footwork is to move only one foot. Keep this in mind and make sure it does not appear in the fight.

Five sections

Five segments refer to: upper segment, middle segment, lower segment, left-hand position and right-hand position. Apart from that, there is no other posture. Although the posture can be divided into five types, there is only one purpose: to kill the enemy.

In any of the above-mentioned postures, one must have no distractions and only report one idea: knock down the enemy.

Which stance to adopt depends on the situation. The key is to be able to get the most benefit in the duel.

The upper, middle and lower sections are fixed positions, while the left and right can be flexibly changed. The left and right positions are mostly suitable for environments where there is not enough space above, and the choice of left or right position depends on the actual situation at the time.

The point of the fifth stage is to understand the importance of middle stage. Among the five dans, the middle rank is the most attractive. Mastering the middle rank is equivalent to mastering all postures. If you compare it with the battle, the middle rank is equivalent to the position of the leader, and the other four stances are equivalent to the soldiers following the leader. They must obey the will of the leader and follow the command of the leader. This must be paid attention to.

Taito Sword Technique

Understanding the Tao of Taito means that we can control the sword in our hands as we wish. Even if you only use two fingers to hold the sword, you can swing it freely. If you swing the sword too fast, it will definitely make it difficult to swing the sword. This is the wrong method of the sword. Only by swinging it calmly and gently, can he control the knife in his hand flexibly and freely.

The fast swing is suitable for shaking a folding fan or dancing a knife, but not suitable for the use of Taidao. If you apply it to the sword, it will not only deviate from the sword technique, but it is also not conducive to swinging the sword. Quick swing can also be called "shattering a knife", this method is not suitable for killing the enemy with a sword.

When using the knife to cut down, use the most convenient method to lift it up. When swinging the knife sideways, first move it sideways, and then take it back home. The correct way to use the sword is to stretch the elbow as much as possible when swinging, and then hit it hard.

Five Knife Skills

Knife technique one

Hold the middle position and point the tip of the knife towards the opponent's face. Slowly approach the opponent, and when it makes a move, quickly press down the opponent's knife to the right, making the defense an offense. When the opponent attacks again, block the tip of his knife back. At this point, your sword hangs down and does not move. When the opponent attacks for the third time, raise the sword from the bottom and attack the opponent's hands.

It is difficult to correctly understand these five methods of knives only by telling them. You have to ponder and practice with the knife. Once you master these five sword techniques, you will understand my thoughts on these five sword techniques and understand all the enemy's moves. These five kinds of swordsmanship are the essence of the "two-day first-class". Apart from this, there is no other swordsmanship, so they must be practiced well.

Knife technique two

Take the upper rank with the knife, and attack the opponent while the opponent is attacking. In the event of a miss, let the knife stay in place and wait for the opponent to attack again, then cut the knife up and attack. This trick can be used repeatedly.

Knife technique two seems simple, but in fact there are many changes in mentality and rhythm. If you can comprehend the essence of this sword technique, you will almost enter the realm of "two-day first-class", making it easier to master other sword techniques and ultimately win in any fight. However, this state must be continuously tempered to reach it.

Knife technique three

Hold the knife in the lower rank, and feel the knife in your hand with your heart. When the opponent is attacking, pierce his hand straight down. In this case, the gesture must be counterattacked. When the opponent tries to shoot down the knife in your hand, take advantage of the situation to fend off his knife, and at the same time quickly slash his wrist from the side. The main point of this sword technique is that when the opponent is attacking, he takes advantage of the void and knocks down the opponent from the lower stage. This knife technique often appears in fighting, so it must be practiced repeatedly.

Knife technique four

Hold the knife horizontally to the left and wait for the opponent to attack. When the opponent strikes, attack his hand from below. At this point, the opponent will hit the knife in your hand from top to bottom, and you only need to block and attack the enemy's hand; when the opponent's knife is swept over your shoulder, cut the opponent's wrist diagonally. In this way, the purpose is to block the opponent's attack without self-defeating. This method should be carefully understood.

Knife technique five

Hold the knife horizontally to the right. Swing the knife diagonally upwards, and then slash it straight down, while paying attention to the opponent's shot position. This knife technique also requires more practice. After mastering this sword technique, even the cumbersome Tai sword can be used freely.

I can’t describe these five sword techniques in more detail. I can only rely on practice to understand the opponent’s moves, carefully figure out the opponent’s mind, and find ways to win, so as to truly understand the use of this school of swords. His knife skills are more perfect. Remember, you must practice hard in order to use it flexibly and achieve victory.

No place

The so-called positionless position means that when attacking, don't stick to a fixed position, but be flexible. However, since there are five ways to hold a sword, the standing position should also correspond to it. In practice, which method of holding the knife should be adopted depends on your position with your opponent-terrain, or your relationship with your opponent, and at the same time you have to change according to the situation. No matter which way of holding the sword, there is only one goal: to defeat the enemy. Its posture depends on the target and the occasion, and adapts to the environment; the most important point: easy to hit the enemy. Therefore, in the course of combat, in order to be more conducive to combat, each rank can be changed at any time. For example: lower the upper section slightly to become the middle section; raise the middle section slightly to become the upper section; or raise the lower section slightly to become the middle section. At the same time, according to the position between you and the opponent, the left hand and the right hand can also be changed mutually, for example, move to the middle position, or move up or down.

The principle of gaining momentum is: turn the unstructured into the structured. First of all, no matter what the situation is, as long as you hold the knife in your hand, your only thought is: defeat the enemy. Attack or retreat, there is a chance to knock down the enemy. Therefore, grasping the opportunity in the fight is the most important thing. If you think too much about stabs, slashes, slashes, flashes, and blocks, you will only stick to the moves and miss the chance of victory. Therefore, the most important thing in the fighting process is to master the fighter. This point must be paid special attention to.

The "construction" in the art of joint warfare refers to the deployment of the army. Every change in it may contain opportunities for victory, which is the key to victory. Stick to the rules and doomed to failure.

Win with one move

In the offense, there is a trick called "one trick to win." Its secret is: to find the best position to attack, without too much movement or fixation, while the opponent is hesitant, quickly chop and slash to win with one move.
