The house today is completely different from when it was just bought.
From a distance, black tiles, white walls, blue bricks, and red pillars are clearly colored and bright.
The double-opening courtyard door facing the village road has two strings of lanterns hanging from the eaves.
The courtyard wall is a circle of nanmu fences as tall as people, neat and clean.
Entering the courtyard gate, there is a tree altar surrounded by broken bricks under the tall cherry tree on the right side of the yard, and there is a long wooden chair with double backs facing the sun from the tree altar. On the other side, a two-meter wide and five-meter long flower bed was built against the courtyard wall, in which all kinds of unusual flowers and plants were planted. The rest of the open space was covered with green bricks, clean and tidy, with hardly a trace of dust.
Two steps of blue bricks were added one meter from the main house.
The three main rooms now have their own functions and are clearly divided.
In the middle is the main room. As soon as you enter the north door of the main room, you will see a large kang that is big enough for four people to lie down on the west wall. In the center of the kang is a bright red large case with drawers. Fruit plate, which is filled with dried fruits such as peanuts, melon seeds, and dried dates. Behind the seats on both sides of the table, leaned against four pillows embroidered with gold threads on a dark red background.
At the south end of the big kang, there is a niche cabinet without a door. There are about ten niches, large and small, displaying ornaments that are extremely difficult to see in the farmyard. For example, wood carvings, root carvings, porcelain, etc., are not because they are expensive, but for those farmers, these things are almost useless except for being beautiful. And these are the treasures that Su Shuilin spent a full day shopping in the workshop to find, and it cost her a tael of silver.
A reclining chair is placed against the wall on the side of the niche cabinet, and the chair is also covered with a thin cotton pad embroidered with bright red and gold threads. It can be said to be mutually beneficial with the pillow, and it is even more interesting with the furniture made of blood beech.
The bottom of the big kang, which is against the east wall, has a pair of armchairs on the left and right sides, and a coffee table with a pair of single-ear cups with a lid sandwiched between the chairs.

The south-facing double wooden door of the main room was wide open, and the sunlight poured in wantonly, and cast it on the alcove cabinet that was wiped exceptionally clean, forming a colorful halo dazzlingly.
The wing on the east side of the main house is now a bedroom. Inside is all wenge furniture.
A two-meter wide double bed is placed in the north facing south. The bed was covered with a fine cotton gauze tent with purple flowers on a white background, and two wooden hooks were loosely hooked to the tent door. There is a low cabinet with drawers on each side of the bed door, in which the two people's underwear and socks are stored. On the floor in front of the bed between the low cabinets, there was a palm-height couch.
Behind the bed, by the window, is a two-bar clothes hanger and a round stool with staggered heights. A purple-bottomed floral cotton curtain that corresponds to the furniture quietly separates it from the rest of the room. Here, it turned out to be a simple dressing room.
To the south of the big bed, against the east wall are a chest of drawers that is one person high, and a three-door wardrobe with a pull-up shoe cabinet.
Against the wall of the main room, to the south of the big bed is a set of three stacked coat boxes, and a large open-top quilt cabinet that is more than one person high. Then there is the door to the main room, with a floral curtain of the same color hanging on the door. A wooden hook is raised from one side.
Under the south window of the bedroom, there is a large dressing table with different sizes of alcove drawers, and several pieces of jewelry and rouge gouache are stored in different categories. A large oval bronze mirror on the dressing table is enough to see the bust.
On the right side of the dresser, in the south corner not far from the bedroom door, is a two-tier flower stand. On the lower shelf is a pot of five-headed spirea, and on the upper shelf is a pot of water-facing narcissus with green stems and white buds.
In the open space in the middle of the bedroom, there is a one-legged round table surrounded by four round stools. On the table is a fruit plate woven with fine rattan, and on the floral padding, there is a plate full of cakes and halva. .

The wing to the west of the main room is now a study and embroidery room.
Under the north window sill is a large multi-functional embroidery frame, which was made by Su Shuilin's drawings and asked the carpenter to build it. It is her embroidery tool in the future. On each side of the embroidery frame is a row of low cabinets with a height of half a person and a length of two meters, standing against the wall. It is divided into several grids, which can place various embroidery needles, embroidery threads, and rags. Neat cloth can be placed on the cabinet.
By the south window, there is a large desk with drawers, a large armchair in front of the table, and a soft cushion embroidered with thin red and gold threads. Of course, there is also a thicker cushion of the same style that Su Shuilin kept in the cabinet and can be replaced when the weather turns cold.
On the table was a pen holder with a big belly, an inkstone on one side, and a lady's bottle with a round belly and a thin neck. Several golden osmanthus were inserted in it, and the dark fragrance filled the whole room.
On the left side of the desk, by the corner of the wall, stood a large porcelain painting tube. Inside, there were two volumes of ink paintings that were mostly completed. They were paintings that Su Shuilin was going to embroider on winter clothes.
On the right side of the desk, there is a large bookcase leaning against the wall. Now, the upper floor is neatly arranged with a row of skill books such as farming, farming and cooking. On the lower level, there are several geographical records and bizarre stories of Dahuiguo in twos and threes.
Well, when he was shopping at the book, Su Shuilin just wanted to buy some books and materials about farming, but he didn't think so. He found a few books about local geography and strange interest, so he couldn't help buying it. Who told her to read books about exotic customs, special products in different places, interesting anecdotes of different people, and miscellaneous stories about foreign objects. Three taels of silver went out in vain. Fortunately, Lin Siyao never told her about it, as if she didn't spend money. In the end, it was her who spent the money, and it was also her who was distressed.
On the north and south windows of the study and embroidery room and the door leading to the main room, the hanging curtains are not like the pink and purple floral cotton curtains in the bedroom, but Su Shuilin's rolling curtains woven with rattan grass. Roller blinds are heavier and more textured than cloth blinds, but because rattan grass feels rougher than cotton, it is not suitable for bedrooms.
Outside the three main rooms, next to the fence at the west end, there is also a side room, which is now the kitchen and dining room for the two of them. Although it is an ear room, the area inside is not small.
The stove by the north window is rebuilt, and the newly brushed white blank is refreshing and refreshing. Next to the stove is a separate cupboard on the upper and lower floors. The lower layer can put some basins and buckets, bottles and jars for washing and choosing vegetables, and the upper layer is specially used for shelving dishes, chopsticks and soup.

Su Shuilan picked out a set of forty-eight sets of bowls, dishes, and bowls that imitated blue-and-white porcelain. She carved the wooden spoon and chopsticks out of nanmu. At first, she only carved two sets. Well, so, four more sets were added. The chopsticks are all carved with orchids, with a cute mushroom head on top. The spoon body of the wooden spoon is an Oriole bird perched on the branch. The spoon body is thin to wide, until the top becomes a flat leaf with clear texture.
As for the two pairs of chopsticks and wooden spoons brought back from the forest, they became special tableware for the two wolf cubs. And the big bowls they will eat in the future are the two Nanmu soup bowls that Su Shuilin asked Feng Laoliu to help.
The dining table is placed under the south window. The boxy table stands by the window, and two chairs with backs and no armrests are tucked under the table facing each other. The chair is also covered with a thin cushion of the same color. Of course, there were six of these chairs in total, just in case there were guests, and the other four were temporarily stored in the corner of the dressing room in the bedroom.
In a mini-necked bottle on the table, there is a goose-yellow rose.
On the wall between the dining table and the stove, stood a low cabinet, in which various condiments, flour, eggs and other ingredients were placed in different categories. Above the cabinet are several fruit baskets of different sizes woven from rattan.
On the side of the low cabinet is a washbasin stand that can accommodate five or six washbasins of various sizes and a drying rack with four cloth towels hanging. There was also a large bathtub in the corner. It must have been for a bath.
Going out of the south gate of the kitchen, there is a winding blue brick path, and the path from the main house will form a one-meter-wide path in the center of the front yard, continuing to the south to the river bank.
The front yard has about four main rooms wide and two main rooms long. Now it has been separated into four functions by Lin Siyao.
When I came out of the kitchen, I touched about four or five meters, and it was close to the west side courtyard wall. Those who don't know, also say that this is a place to rest. Because of the fear of rain, there is no window. Instead, a small window that can be closed is opened on the wooden door. Usually, the small window is open to facilitate ventilation, and it is closed when it is used. There is a large leak-bottom toilet with exquisite workmanship, high and low comfort, and the bottom directly leads to a swamp excavated deep underground. This is what Su Shuilin proposed tentatively, recalling the bathing room of the Su family, and as a result, the plasterers said it was easy to use. The marsh pond is pressed together by two heavy slabs, which can also be opened, and the marsh material inside is used for fertilization.
The west pavilion is not big. After removing the toilet in the center, there is a small cabinet for the straw paper in a corner in front. In another corner there is a drying rack made of bamboo.

Originally, according to Su Shuilin's intention, he wanted to put the bathtub here too. The West Pavilion was completely turned into a bathroom, but I gave up thinking that it would be too troublesome to carry hot water. Simply the kitchen is not small, and there is enough space for bathing. Further south from Xiaoxi Pavilion, there is a two-meter square, and now the vegetable field with peppers is the tall and plump jujube tree. Under the jujube tree, there is also a circle of broken green bricks. In the sunny place at the southern end of the jujube tree, there is a bench similar to that under the cherry tree in the backyard. In front of the bench is an open space paved with blue bricks, which is enough to put down the big wooden couch. According to Lin Siyao's plan, it is for Su Shuilin to lie here and bask in the sun in winter.
On the courtyard wall on the southeast side, two chicken and duck coops were built side by side, surrounded by small fences half a person high. After the spring, you can buy some chickens and ducks to raise. There will be more egg dishes on the table in the future.
The remaining open space in the front yard is five vegetable gardens separated by green brick paths.
In the three vegetable gardens closest to the main house and the kitchen, from east to west, tuber vegetables such as potatoes and radishes that can be eaten in winter, leaf vegetables such as green cabbage, cabbage, and cabbage, and seasonings such as shallots, ginger, and garlic are grown. seasoning.
The two larger vegetable gardens to the south are still empty. I plan to see if there are any vegetable combs that can be eaten in winter now.
At the end of the green brick path is the wide and clear river behind the house.
Due to the area near the southwest end of the village road, except for the one-of-a-kind house that Su Shuilin bought now, it was either empty fields or wild grasslands. Therefore, Lin Siyao only set up a few small traps along the fence. On the inside of the fence, a circle of incense with insect repelling effect was planted from the foot of Xiufeng.
Beyond the gate made by the fence, the river pier is a five-six step with stone slabs, which is flat and refreshing. There is also a large stone slab built on the shore of the quay, and under the stone slab are the clubs, wooden brushes and acacias used for washing.
The open space on the shore is not small. After the plum blossom pile designed by Lin Siyao occupies a small area, the rest of the space is more than enough to hang clothes on a bamboo hanger.
Lin Siyao also built a grape trellis on a narrow road between the kitchen and the west fence, and planted two black and purple grape vines that were moved from Dashi Mountain. If there were no accidents, there would be grapes to eat next summer.
On the north side of the grape trellis, a large water tank is placed. Usually, some water from the river is used for washing rice and vegetables. If it rains, the roof will flow downstream along the tiles into the large tank. One to accumulate rainwater, one to reduce the pressure of the rain curtain on the doors and windows.
There is also a large bluestone slab next to the large water tank, which is convenient for choosing and washing vegetables.
In the open space of about three meters between the bedroom and the east fence, Lin Siyao planned to make a home for the two wolf cubs. It's just that the small wooden house suitable for wolf cubs built by Feng Lao Liu has not yet been completed. Presumably you will have to wait until the day you move to get it.
In this way, buying property, renovating the house, building furniture, decorating ornaments... After a series of things, Su Shuilin spent a total of 31 taels of silver. That's not even counting the cost of the biggest lumber. After two days, I will settle the accommodation fee with the inn for the past month. It is estimated that I have only fifteen taels left at most. So, ah, this money is really worthless.
