Being A Detective in The World of Film and Television

Chapter 2045: Bail out Shavig, the Scientist's Magic Wand (Part 2)

Views:

Luke was alone with Daisy, and he was still using the Big Dipper clone, so he had nothing to worry about.

After finding a quiet restaurant to have afternoon tea, he took the monitor that Daisy had taken.

After feeding Daisy a bellyful of tea and snacks, and asking about Dr. Shavig's recent condition, he quietly put the monitor back into Daisy's bag and sent her back to her residence.

After watching Daisy enter the building, Luke started the car, feeling somewhat satisfied.

That monitor was developed by Dr. Jane and Dr. Shavig. The quality of the raw materials used is not top-notch, and it certainly cannot be compared with that of a rich man like Luke.

However, both of them have unique insights and research on the theory and practical applications of Einstein-Rosen bridge (that is, wormhole).

It also takes a new approach to monitoring algorithms, which can be integrated into Luke's monitoring system.

After driving for a while and completing the adjustments to the monitoring algorithm, Luke suddenly felt like he had forgotten something.

What was it that he had forgotten? It must be insignificant, but it happened today... Luke frowned and looked back through his memories.

After a few seconds, he relaxed and said, "It turned out to be Daisy's intern. He seemed to have been forgotten over there in the factory."

Seeing that it was already six in the evening, he shook his head: "He is such a grown-up man with a phone, a wallet, and a car. He can come back by himself. There is no need to remind Daisy."

Thinking of this, Luke put the intern out of his mind.

On the other side, Daisy went upstairs and entered the house, then lay down on the sofa and breathed a sigh of satisfaction.

I enjoyed a high-end afternoon tea. Although the handsome guy who accompanied me was a bit old, he was pleasing to the eye and it was interesting to chat with him.

Too bad Jane didn't know what was wrong!

Dr. Shavig, who was looking for her, had disappeared, and even her intern... Um, wait, where is that intern? Daisy suddenly thought of someone who had been forgotten for several hours.

Emmm~ He should know about the phone call, right? She thought so and gave up thinking about the intern's problem, and continued to recall the wonderful afternoon tea time.

The next day, London was relatively calm.

Luke stood outside the police station, looking at the flock of birds in the sky, and nodded thoughtfully: "Well, it's not pigeons. It's... starlings."

Starlings are winter migratory birds that migrate to the warm Mediterranean region every autumn.

Today is November 10th. The Chinese lunar calendar has passed the Beginning of Winter and the proper beginning of winter.

This flock of starlings was "teleported" to London from somewhere unknown.

Just as he looked up at the flock of birds, Daisy and the unfortunate intern Ian got off a bus not far away and hurried over.

"Wilson, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for so long?" Daisy said breathlessly.

Luke lowered his head, and then lowered it again, glancing at the violently fluctuating focus: “It’s okay, I just got here too.”

With a strength of 120, his body is ridiculously strong. Sleeping is a rare enjoyment for him. He has to force himself to control his body just to get an hour of sleep every day.

Therefore, after getting up in the early morning, the third-level clone wandered around London, not caring whether he could wait for anyone or not.

The three of them walked into the police station, and he casually asked, "How did you get on the bus?"

Daisy said with a bitter face: "The car is still at the factory. The intern lost the key yesterday. He almost lost himself."

Luke didn't care about the interns at all. He just said, "Then I'll take you back later."

Arriving at the front desk of the temporary detention center, Daisy went up and said she wanted to bail out Dr. Shavig, and Luke paid two thousand pounds for the bail.

Poor Daisy and the intern could not afford the money, so they had to ask him for help, and Dr. Shavig would repay the money later.

But helping was just a convenience, Luke also wanted to observe Dr. Shavig, who was said to be "crazy".

If he can still work, let him continue to study the spatial chaos in London.

Mental illness? It doesn't matter.

It's standard for genius scientists in Marvel to have this - especially before they become villain bosses.

The police officer at the front desk glanced back and forth between Daisy and the intern: "Whoever is a relative, come and sign."

The intern stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face and didn't react.

Daisy elbowed him in the waist, and the smile on her face was murderous: "Why don't you sign and bring your father out quickly, classmate Shavig."

The intern suddenly realized and stammered to the police officer with a smile: "Ah, yes, Eric Schalvig should be my father."

The police officer had a blank expression on his face and just pushed the registration book in his hand: This child looks so nervous, has he inherited the mental illness

Luke watched silently, with no intention of using his superpowers or making a phone call to get anyone out.

After all, this would only take half an hour under normal procedures, and Dr. Shavig was not going to die in the detention room immediately.

On the contrary, after being arrested, the doctor lived well in prison.

Not only do I have food and drink, I no longer have to suffer from the wind, sun and cold as before, and I can also teach quantum mechanics lessons to my companions in the detention room.

After a moment, Dr. Shavig was brought to the front desk.

He was wearing an ill-fitting grey and white chunky sweater that was old-fashioned and looked like donated old clothing.

He was wearing a pair of dark blue football shorts, and his bare calves were covered with men's long socks and leather shoes.

With that expressionless face and dull eyes, he looks like a disabled person.

Daisy forced a smile and waved her hands: "Hey, Dr. Shavig."

"Ah?" Dr. Shavig looked up blankly, with no intention of remembering her at all.

He is indeed a science geek. He even forgot about a woman like Daisy who has so many advantages. Luke complained in his heart.

After a moment, after Daisy introduced herself as Dr. Jane's home, his dull eyes finally brightened up: "Is it you, Daisy? It's great to see you."

As he said this, he hugged Daisy like a baby who had been wronged, and almost cried.

Shavig: "How did you find me?"

The intern next to him was packing up the doctor's personal belongings. Hearing this, he couldn't help but interrupt: "You were on the TV news. You were running naked at Stonehenge. We all saw it."

Daisy gritted her teeth, feeling a little desperate facing two classmates who were not smart enough at the same time. "That classmate, why don't you pack up your "father's" things quickly so that we can send him home."

A moment later, the four of them got into Luke's car and returned to Dr. Shavig's small apartment in London.

As a world-renowned scientist, Dr. Shavig still has some status, not counting the news about him.

In fact, he gets a certain amount of research sponsorship from Stark Group every quarter.

I'm not that wealthy, but at least I don't have to worry about food, clothing, housing and transportation compared to most researchers who have to live frugally.

The problem is that the investment in research funds is not enough, because scientists never have enough research funds.

While Dr. Shavig, who had been hit by a mental resistance, recovered and went to change his clothes, Luke picked up a few silver-gray long-rod instruments that the intern brought back.

At five o'clock yesterday morning, Dr. Shavig was riding this "personally-made" "magic wand of science" and running naked at Stonehenge.

When he was arrested, he was still shouting that this was a "magic weapon" that could save the world.
