Chapter 379: Barbie Q Chef and Chit-chat (3 more)

Juliet called a few other teachers, met with Luke, and explained the replacement of the police officer.

These teachers, both male and female, are all over 20 and under 40 years old. They are obviously both experienced and physically strong, otherwise they would not be able to control more than a hundred naughty children.

After the greetings, Luke asked about his work tomorrow.

Juliet smiled and said, "In fact, the training that the police officers need to do has been completed. You just need to help look after the safety of these children. Secondly, if any accidents happen, we may need your help. After all, you are a professional."

Luke smiled and nodded: "Okay, I'll go eat first."

Juliet: "Then let's eat together. We'll all eat at that little fast food restaurant."

Luke shook his head decisively.

He had finally come out and the environment was very nice, so he didn't want to eat that fast food.

"I can make Barbie Q. Let's go over there and have something to eat together." He said with a smile.

Juliet hesitated, and Luke looked at her expression and said, "If other teachers are willing, they can come together, but I don't have that much food. Do you have fresh meat for sale here?"

Juliet looked at his kind smile, hesitated for a moment, and finally agreed: "Thank you very much, I can buy some meat from a fast food restaurant and bring it over later. There's firewood behind the fast food restaurant, I'll tell them and you can take some over first."

This means that the ingredients come with the food and Luke just has to process them.

They weren't close enough to the point where Luke would treat the entire faculty and staff to dinner.

Luke nodded: "Then I'll go over and prepare."

When he arrived, he saw that there was a large piece of flat land by the lake next to the camping site. There were no trees or weeds around it, and there was a frequently used fire pit, which was very suitable for holding activities such as Barbie Q or bonfire parties.

Luke found some firewood, went to an open space by the lake, got some tools from his car, cleaned the fire, and built a grill.

After doing all this, Juliet came over with two male teachers, carrying a lot of meat in their hands.

When they got closer and said hello to everyone, Juliet left. As the camp director, she had a lot of things to do, so the two male teachers were left behind to help.

Luke worked quickly, and it took him twenty minutes to finish marinating the meat. He then spent a few more minutes telling the two instructors what they needed to pay attention to, and then he had some free time.

I got a folding chair from the car, took my laptop, and sat down by the lake.

He brought two bottles of beer to the two male teachers, and he himself drank freshly brewed hot tea and started reading some materials.

The two male teachers also happily drank cold beer, enjoyed the evening breeze by the lake, and chatted.

Just like that, by six o'clock, the sky was almost dark, with only a faint red light in the distant sky.

Luke put away his notebook and asked the two male teachers, and learned that the children had already started eating dinner, which also meant that the faculty and staff's break time was approaching.

He called two male teachers to put the almost marinated barbecued meat on long sticks.

The fire was lit and the size was adjusted. Two male instructors each turned a stick to grill the meat while Luke continued to read his materials.

The noisy campground gradually quieted down around seven o'clock, and most of the children returned to their dormitories.

Juliet came over with six men and women and greeted Luke: "Thank you so much, Luke."

Luke smiled and said, "No, no, no, Joey and Duncan are the main forces. I am just responsible for pickling."

He greeted the people behind her before everyone sat down.

Everyone brought their own tableware, and Luke served the food himself.

Picking up a kitchen knife, he quickly cut the appropriate slices of meat from the joint on the grill, letting them fall into the utensils.

In less than five minutes, the food was served.

Since it was an open-air Barbie party, there weren't a lot of rules, so everyone just sat in a rough circle and chatted while eating.

Juliet sat next to Luke, and there were two other female teachers sitting on the other side. It was obvious that they were still very interested in him.

Regardless of his age, appearance, occupation, temperament, and behavior, Luke is very curious.

No one asked about privacy, and Luke only talked about unimportant things.

It was the communication between these teachers that opened Luke's eyes.

The female teacher Maggie said, "It's actually the night when problems are most likely to occur. Last night I caught two pairs of restless guys who actually wanted to go swimming in the lake in the middle of the night. Although it was a shallow water area, who could save them in the middle of the night?"

Another female teacher, Lily, couldn't help but interject, "You're good. At least you stopped them when they were on the shore. The day before yesterday, I was on night duty and a pair of little guys took off their clothes and swam in the water for a long time. I came over to check and found their clothes."

Juliet nodded. "So this is the best place to camp. After all, this Moon Lake is just a pool of water. The deepest part is only about 1.5 meters. The possibility of problems is smaller. The water in the lakes upstream is much deeper, as deep as 5 or 6 meters."

Only then did Luke realize that the lake at the campsite was called Moon Lake.

Everyone chatted and ate and drank, and after more than an hour, everyone left. Only two female teachers stayed behind to help clean up.

The three of them chatted while cleaning up, and Luke knew that he had no mandatory night watch or patrol missions.

His presence is to deal with possible emergencies.

For example, if a dangerous wild animal appears, he can use a gun to "deal with" it.

The school and police department have reported the social activities to each other, and he can use firearms if necessary in this camping site.

He quickly packed up and declined Teacher Lily's invitation to have coffee. Luke pulled out the tent and sleeping bag from his car and returned to the campfire by the lake.

He was going to camp here tonight. He had seen the room in the inn and it was quite ordinary.

He had no interest in changing the sheets and bedding used by the police officer, so he simply camped by the lake.

The teachers had mentioned before that students would sneak into the lake to swim in the middle of the night, so he could keep an eye on them from here since he only slept two hours a day anyway.

As the night deepened, Luke and a small, faint campfire were the only ones by the lake.

The mosquitoes were kept outside the mosquito net of the tent. Luke was very comfortable in the tent, drinking hot tea and reading some information.

Except for the lack of beautiful women, everything else is good.

Just like that, by midnight, the campfire outside the tent had gone out, and Luke had pulled down the outer layer of the tent.

After stretching his muscles, he stood up and crawled out of the tent, walked for a distance, stood quietly by the lake, and looked at the calm lake.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from another lakeside path beside him.

Luke said nothing, but turned his head to look and couldn't help laughing silently.
