The girl named Chris was shocked: "Oh my God, that's really me, but I don't even remember taking this photo. As far as I can remember, I only knew him in high school."

Hearing this, the boy looked grim and urged, "Let's go."

The girl Chris continued: "Dean said something before he died."

"Stop talking." The boy whispered.

Chris continued: "He said: You are not real. He repeated this over and over again. Do you know what it means?"

The boy was silent for a moment before he said, "No, I don't know. Dean is taking a lot of medication, including psychiatric medications, you know what I mean?"

Tears welled up in Chrissy's eyes. "Jesse, it was like someone forced Dean to do that, but there was no one around him. You have to believe me."

"Chris, that must be your illusion." The boy shook his head.

"No, I believe her." Another girl walked up to the two people who were talking and suddenly interrupted.

The two looked at her.

Chris found a supporter: "Do you believe it?"

The girl nodded, confirming what she had just said: "I believe it, because I also saw..."

The boy interrupted: "No, you didn't see anything. You were in the store at the time, and you were just scared. So, stop scaring Chris, okay?"

With that the boy turned and left, leaving the two girls standing there blankly.

Luke was standing on a photo stand not far behind the others at this moment, taking a copy of all the photos with his fake cell phone.

Especially the photo that Chris just mentioned of her and Dean.

In the photo, a little boy of five or six years old is climbing the slide lively. Not far away from him, a cute little girl in a pink and blue skirt is staring at the camera.

Selina: "The boy left."

Luke nodded slightly: "Let's go over there."

"Chris, and this one, can I talk to you?" Luke took off his sunglasses and said with a smile.

Looking at his sunny and handsome face and his eyes full of electricity for a moment, even though the two girls were in a bad mood at the moment, they nodded subconsciously: "Ah, sure."

Immediately, Chris came back to his senses: "Wait, what do you want to talk about?"

Luke gestured, and the four of them took a few steps and walked to the big tree nearby.

He then said, "I'm sorry about Dean's incident, but what I want to ask is, who do you suspect?"

Chris and the other girl's expressions suddenly became serious: "W-what?"

Luke smiled apologetically: "I just overheard your conversation, it seems that someone... is bothering you?"

Both girls were silent.

After a moment, the same girl who interrupted asked, "Who are you?"

Luke took out his police badge wallet and flashed it. "LAP, I'm here to investigate this incident. It's not just causing trouble for you."

The two girls looked at each other, and the girl said, "Let's talk somewhere else. It's not convenient here."

Chris said, "Come to my house. My mother went to Europe yesterday."

The two girls got into Luke's car. Except for Chris telling her her home address, the whole car was silent.

When they arrived at Chris's house, the four of them got out of the car, went into the house, and sat down in the living room.

Chris was obviously distracted. She didn't even get water for everyone. She just sat there blankly.

It was Luke who broke the extremely uncomfortable silence. He looked at the girl and said, "I don't know your name yet. What's your name?"

The girl: "Just call me Nancy. What do you want to know?"

Luke: "The person you suspect. I think you seem to know who he is."

Nancy was silent and looked at Chris who suddenly became nervous beside her.

Chris gritted her teeth and said, "Tell me, I want to know what he is."

Having said that, Luke and the others saw no anger on her face. It would be more appropriate to call it fear.

Nancy: "There is a person who... always appears in our dreams."

Having said that, she looked at Luke and the other man and found that they were just listening quietly, without showing any impatience or disdain.

She continued, "I don't know who he is, but lately, I always see him after I fall asleep. He seems..."

Chris suddenly interrupted: "It seems to be real."

Everyone looked sideways.

Chris's eyes were dull, but she said, "His whole body seemed to be burnt, and his skin seemed to be melted. Especially his hand, his right hand, that was..."

"Claws." Nancy took over the conversation again: "There are sharp blades on the fingers of his right hand, just like a claw."

Chris seemed to recall those dreams. She was trembling all over and unable to speak. She just nodded repeatedly to show her agreement.

Luke and Selina looked at each other.

Nancy seemed oblivious: "He always wore a black hat and a worn-out sweater with red and green stripes. Every time he showed up, he would slowly approach me and say something to me."

Luke waited for a moment, and when he saw that she didn't continue, he asked softly, "What did he say?"

"Do you remember me?" These words were spoken by Nancy and Chris at the same time.

Luke raised an eyebrow: "And?"

The two girls shook their heads, and Nancy replied, "Every time it comes to this time, I wake up with a fright."

Luke groaned. "That is to say, he hasn't hurt you yet. Why?"

The two girls were stunned. They didn't expect that his question would be this.

Even they themselves found this matter too absurd.

If Dean hadn't died in front of them, they wouldn't have reacted so exaggeratedly even if they were troubled by the nightmare.

Luke looked as if he completely believed what the two said, and was carefully analyzing the reasons.

"But, but, Dean died, right in front of me." Chris couldn't help but say.

Luke nodded slightly, tapping his hands slowly on the armrest of the sofa: "So, he has his own purpose."

That's why he would come into your dreams again and again to threaten you. But he didn't say this out loud.

After thinking for a while, he asked, "When did your nightmare start? How often does it happen? For example, once a month, once a week, or every few days?"

Nancy: "It started just a month ago, but it seemed like there was a week's gap? In the last few days he's been... showing up almost every day."

Chris shook her head. "No. I haven't gotten much sleep since Dean died. When I took a nap this afternoon, I seemed to see him again."

Luke nodded. "What about during this period? Has he appeared more and more frequently?"

The two girls looked at each other and nodded at the same time.

He had a vague guess in his mind, but he didn't want to say it out loud.
