Being A Detective in The World of Film and Television

Chapter 567: Beat to death or maim, red face or white face (1 more)

George twisted his body and reached out to grab the revolver on the table.

Boom!

Crystal's strong body hit the wall and rolled to the ground.

Luke walked leisurely towards George at the table.

George held the revolver, his fingers quickly flicked the hammer away, and pointed the gun at Luke: "Don't move, detective."

Luke didn't pause at all, and continued walking towards him.

George gritted his teeth, lowered the muzzle of the gun, pointed it at Luke's thigh, and pulled the trigger.

Click!

After a slight click, George's face turned black and he pulled the trigger again.

Click!

Luke grabbed George's hand holding the revolver with his left hand and punched him in the stomach with his right hand.

George's legs were knocked off the ground and he fell to the floor with a thud.

Luke carefully took the revolver out of his hand, lifted the hammer, and placed it back on the table.

He then took the handcuffs again and handcuffed both men’s hands to the table: “It seems that I won this bet.”

He waved to the observation room next door.

Selena and Billy came over quickly and took Crystal to the interrogation room next door, where Billy interrogated Crystal.

Elizabeth was in charge of interrogating Luke.

Elizabeth, who had just read the files in the observation room, was very excited: These two guys actually tried to kidnap Tony Stark

Compared with any bank robbery, this case has much greater merit.

The two became more interested in the case and interrogated very hard.

However, neither Crystal nor George was so honest. They didn't take the bet with Luke seriously at all, and refused to speak even after losing.

Luke, however, stood by with a smile on his face. He turned off the camera again and signaled Elizabeth not to rush into the interrogation.

Then, he carefully pulled back the revolver of the M686, took out the training bullet inside, and reloaded it with new bullets.

Seeing George and Elizabeth's puzzled looks, he smiled and said to Elizabeth, "Don't worry, if he dares to break the bet, I will break his kneecap and make him a cripple for life."

Elizabeth and George's eyes widened.

Luke shrugged and pointed at the revolver in his hand. "Anyway, the fingerprints on this gun are enough to prove that he stole the weapon. I won't kill him. If I cripple him, at most he'll be investigated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a few months."

Elizabeth lost her voice: "Are you serious?"

There's really nothing wrong with this operation.

George's fingerprints were indeed on the revolver, and he was not shot to death, so the possibility that the police investigation was just a formality was almost 100%.

George is a habitual criminal and just tried to kidnap Tony Stark, no one will speak up for him.

"Okay, take your time to think about it." Luke said, standing up and opening the door. "If you still don't explain after I come back, then it depends on whether Crystal is willing to be shot by you."

George was stunned: How could I kill Christo? Wait!

Both he and Elizabeth looked at the M686 revolver on the table.

The gun with George's fingerprints on it killed Crystal, so it can be said that George used it to kill Crystal.

The crime is serious, but it could be as serious as being desperate and silencing accomplices.

Elizabeth was not so surprised this time. Luke had said so much, but hadn't he done it yet

She has occasionally experienced someone's style of talking nonsense without changing his expression.

This method of exerting psychological pressure on suspects is not uncommon in the serious crime squad, and it is used quite frequently.

When facing cunning criminals, it is understandable to use some little "tricks" to find a gap.

A moment later, Crystal was brought over by Luke, and Selina and the others did not follow.

Luke waved to Elizabeth as they came in. "You can go to the lounge and have a cup of coffee. You don't know what's going to happen next, ok?"

Elizabeth's face was solemn. "Luke, this is not good, is it? You have killed too many suspects recently. If one more dies this time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will definitely come to investigate you."

Luke didn't care: "It's okay. It's just an investigation. Can they still fire me? Thanks for the reminder. You can leave now."

Elizabeth had a conflicted look on her face, and finally sighed, "How about, don't beat him to death?" As she spoke, she subconsciously glanced at Crystal.

That look of pity made Crystal's hair stand on end.

Luke: “I understand.” Then he pushed her out.

After closing the door of the interrogation room, Luke carefully picked up the M686 revolver with a funny movement.

But neither Crystal nor George meant to laugh. The strange way they held the gun was to protect the fingerprints on the gun, which was a very dangerous hint.

Luke said calmly, "I hate those who don't keep their word. They have no integrity and should die early. Are you ready? Crystal, I'll count to three."

As he spoke, he took out his other Glock and pointed it at George's knee: "Three, two..."

"Wait, I'm telling you!" Crystal suddenly yelled.

George was only targeted at the legs, but he was targeted at the head.

George would be crippled at best, but he would definitely die.

How could I tolerate this kind of unequal treatment? Why did I die but George was still alive? Didn't I know the same amount of things

George looked grim: “Idiot, he lied to you.”

Luke raised an eyebrow: "Is that so? Wait a minute."

As he spoke, he turned the Glock upside down and handed it to Crystal: "Here, take this gun. I'm going to blow George's head off and break your legs."

George and Crystal were both thinking of the revolver that was loaded with training bullets, and they couldn't help cursing in their hearts: You stinky cop, who do you think you are

At the same time, Crystal unconsciously glanced at George again, and noticed that there was fear in his eyes, and he understood.

It turns out that this accomplice is fooling me!

Crystal gritted his teeth, "No need. I'll tell you everything about the kidnapping of Stark. I know everything he knows."

George's face was not black, but blue.

In this case, he really has no value at all.

But what Luke did was an open conspiracy, which clearly provided a way out and allowed one of them to survive.

He and Crystal are not sworn brothers, so how could they possibly die for each other

The police are professionals when it comes to playing the prisoner's dilemma.

Luke took back the Glock, nodded with satisfaction, opened the door and called to Elizabeth, "Someone, take Kristo over to record a statement."

Elizabeth, who was leaning against the door, said silently "Well done" and gave a thumbs up.

Luke gestured back, indicating "You did a great job, too."

Of course, everything the two of them did in the interrogation room just now was just acting.

Without any prior communication, the two of them successfully completed a textbook good-for-nothing collaboration.

Elizabeth was Luke's student, and was familiar with his personality and methods of handling cases. But when she heard Luke say he would beat the suspect to death or maim him, Elizabeth knew he was bluffing.
