Being A Detective in The World of Film and Television

Chapter 72: Go back to the police station and retreat

Views:

The two police officers felt the same way. They really didn't think that the other party, who were also members of the police system, would attack them on the street.

Moreover, from before until now, these two people have not behaved in any abnormal manner, except that they are too calm, which does not look like they have just killed someone.

However, Luke's reminder alerted the two policemen, and they finally stopped foolishly from approaching and pulling the woman. Instead, they shouted from a distance, "Sir, don't move. Please don't continue to attack that lady."

But the zombies would not listen to him and continued to bite madly.

Luke spoke again: "You can shoot now. But I want to remind you that shooting him will not work. His only weak spot is his head. You can also break his neck."

The two police officers also became nervous.

They had seen Luke and Selina's police IDs and found out that they were detectives from the Houston homicide squad.

Those who can become detectives in the serious crime squad have a stronger intuition about danger than ordinary police officers like them, because they carry out more dangerous tasks and face more dangerous criminals.

The two police officers immediately drew their guns and quickly warned again. The situation was just as Luke said. The other party was not moved at all and even raised his head in response to their warning.

The two were shocked when they saw the man's condition, because they could see clearly that there was a big hole in his chest and even his internal organs could be seen.

This guy is not dead

The two police officers became nervous. The zombie roared, crawled up with blood on his face, and pounced towards them.

Bang bang bang bang!

A series of gunshots rang out, but the two police officers were horrified to find that their bullets could only make the other person's body tremble, but could not stop him from rushing over.

The two men were at a loss, and it seemed that the guns in their hands were too heavy to lift.

This is a normal human reaction when facing danger. The two police officers were obviously not experienced detectives. Even with their guns in hand, they were frightened by the zombie's weird and brutality.

Seeing the zombie rushing towards them, the two police officers retreated repeatedly.

Luke yelled, "Back off, don't shoot."

The two police officers seemed to have found a backbone. The detectives from the Houston Major Crimes Squad must be more powerful than them. They subconsciously obeyed the order and almost crawled back.

Luke: "Keep your gun down, don't hurt me by mistake."

The two officers hesitated, but lowered their guns.

Luke took a few steps forward, swung the baseball bat in his hand, and hit the zombie on the head with a thud.

Snap!

With an obvious sound of broken bones, the zombie's head suddenly bent to the side 100 degrees and hung on its chest, looking extremely weird.

But it immediately fell to the ground and was silent.

Luke turned his head and said, "See? We need to hit their heads, or break their cervical vertebrae. They are not alive anymore, so hitting their bodies won't work on them."

The two police officers looked at each other.

Luke turned the zombie over with a baseball bat: "See? This guy's heart was taken out and eaten. Do you think he's still alive?"

The two police officers almost vomited when they saw it at such a close distance, but they couldn't help but believe what Luke said.

If someone can still survive without a heart, he is definitely not a human being.

The two of them quickly thanked him.

Luke waved his hand, "No, hurry back to the police station. I've reminded you here, so you're fine, but what about your colleagues? They might still think they're normal people. Hurry up and use the intercom to explain the situation, and pay special attention to remind them not to get bitten. Anyone who gets bitten will be infected and die."

The two policemen were sweating profusely on their foreheads and quickly ran back to the police car.

After Luke got in the car, the driver drove very fast, and the man in the passenger seat began to frantically report the situation on the walkie-talkie.

They saw zombies eating people up close, shot the zombies but to no avail, and finally saw the big hole in the zombie's chest, so they couldn't doubt Luke's words.

At least, Luke's reminder did no harm to his colleagues in the police station. It was always better to be careful and not get hurt.

However, it is too scary to say that if you are bitten, you will die.

The police station was in chaos as well. The operator didn't believe what the two said, but the man in the passenger seat started to curse: "Shirley, are you fucking crazy? What's wrong with giving them a warning? Do you want to see them get bitten? Those monsters are not human at all. Do you want to see our colleagues in danger because of your stupidity?"

After being scolded, the guy came to his senses a little and finally said he would go and notify them, but said there were already a lot of crazy people like that in the police station.

The co-pilot cursed again: "Damn it! Why don't you go and inform them! Tell them not to get bitten."

Luke just listened silently and didn't say anything else.

All he could do was give them a reminder. If the people from the Raccoon City Police Department didn't listen, there was nothing he could do.

When we arrived at the police station, it was in chaos.

Police cars kept escorting zombies over, and the sounds of them screaming and crying in pain were endless.

Luke just took a look and grabbed the two police officers who were about to rush in: "Let me remind you, people who have been bitten will also turn into monsters in a few hours at most. Be careful and don't get too close to the infected people. They can turn into monsters and bite you to death at any time."

The two policemen were sweating profusely, but they still said thank you quickly and drew their batons from their waists.

They still didn't dare to draw their guns directly. Without orders from above, they didn't dare to shoot the zombies directly.

But a tough guy like Luke used a baseball bat and made it clear that he didn't want to attack the monsters with his hands, so they became more cautious.

Luke took Selina and walked back: "Let's find a helicopter first."

Selina's eyes lit up: "Shall we leave by helicopter?"

Luke: "Can you fly a Bell 206 helicopter?"

Selina nodded: "This is the most popular model. Robert and I drove it a few times. It's no problem."

Luke: "That's enough. When we find a helicopter, you drive it out and meet me outside the city."

Selina was shocked: "What? You're not leaving?"

Luke: "I have something personal to attend to, so I need to stay. You drive the helicopter to the back of the gas station. I saw there is a parking lot there. Remember the radio channel we usually use. If I have the conditions, I will use that channel to notify you to come pick me up. But if I don't get there and notify you before three in the morning, you can fly the helicopter back to the roof of the police station building."

Selina: "Why do you have to do this? We are partners and we should act together."

Luke kept walking and continued, "Selina, a true partner is someone you can trust with your back, not someone who will rush to his death recklessly. I trust you, so I'll entrust my final retreat to you, understand?"

(The new books list has the last two days. Logically, it should be removed from the list tomorrow at noon, but I was kicked off today. I realized that my book was published on the 14th, but it was not approved until the 15th... I am crying.)
