Chapter 730: Fire rescue, three rules to remember (2 more)

Although the Los Angeles Police Department has over 10,000 staff, there are also a large number of clerks who do not go out on field duty, and there are only about 7,000 to 8,000 frontline police officers.

The police academy attracted more than a thousand students at once. After basic training and a few days of internship, it greatly alleviated the overstretched police force.

The trainees are not yet able to deal with scenes of armed conflict, but they are sufficient to assist regular police officers in directing traffic and maintaining order.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles is a city with a "glorious tradition."

After a large number of residents left their homes and sought refuge elsewhere, riots were inevitable.

The police station's radio station was flooded with news of various looting and smashing incidents.

Luke and his companions simply ignored the minor fights and only targeted the guys who were armed and confronting the police officers.

At noon, the two parked their car outside an in n out and sat quietly on the hood of the car eating the hamburgers they had just bought.

Luke looked up at the sky and sighed inwardly: What a pity it’s broad daylight!

A group of thugs who had just robbed a grocery store ran past them. The two men just blinked and continued to eat their lunch in silence.

This happens too often.

In the morning, the two witnessed more than fifty cases of theft, robbery and ordinary fights, which were simply impossible to control.

As long as no guns are used, these behaviors will have to be let off. Otherwise, if these guys are caught, we will have to notify the patrol police to take over.

The patrol police are too busy now, and no one knows how long it will take them to arrive. Besides, the police station doesn’t have that much space to detain people.

Suddenly, Luke's phone rang.

He quickly picked up the phone: "What's the matter?"

A series of snapping sounds came from the microphone, and Claire shouted, "We are outside USC, and a group of armed gangsters are exchanging fire with us. There are so many of them."

Luke: "Hide well, I'll be there in five minutes."

He hung up the phone and took a car out of the trunk: "I'll go first, you drive."

Selena: “OK.”

As Luke spoke, he pushed off the car and it accelerated suddenly, quickly disappearing into the crowded street.

His vehicle was actually a bicycle.

In traffic jams, motorcycles are useless, so bicycles come in handy.

With his physical strength and endurance, even if he was suppressed to the state of a normal person, riding a distance of twenty or thirty kilometers would only take him ten to twenty minutes.

When he encountered a place that he couldn't pass, he would jump off the bike, put the crossbar on his shoulder, run out of the congested street in a few steps, and then continue riding his bike.

Claire was not far from him, less than five kilometers in a straight line.

Luke took some shortcuts where there was no road, carrying a bicycle weighing less than ten kilograms, and arrived at the scene in just five minutes.

He appeared from behind the bandits, and rushed out of the alley on his bicycle without stopping. He spread his feet to the left and right, and kicked the two bandits standing at the entrance of the alley against the wall.

Using the reaction force of kicking someone, he straightened his body, pushed with both hands, and the bicycle went into autonomous driving mode, crashing into a clump of flowers not far away.

This is his emergency means of transportation today, it can't be broken.

As he jumped out of the car, he crossed his hands under his armpits and raised the Glock and M686 revolvers at the same time.

Bang bang bang bang!

Luke's feet rushed forward seven or eight meters on the ground. The sounds of gunfire from his two pistols rang out like popping beans. Finally, he got rid of the momentum, crossed his hands again, and put the two guns back into the holsters.

Near the entrance of the alley, seven or eight gangsters who were hiding behind cars, in corners, trash cans, and behind stairs all fell to the ground with bloodshot chests and abdomens.

"lapd!" he shouted.

This was not a warning to the gangster, but to alert the police officers behind two police cars more than ten meters away to not treat him as a gangster and beat him.

However, he was obviously overthinking it.

The little monkey's voice rang out over there: "Haha, it's my brother, it's my brother who's here, we're fine."

Luke also saw her take back a small mirror before her little head half popped out.

She was still very cautious in her actions, thanks in large part to Robert's years of instruction and Selina's more recent training.

Luke laughed, "clear!"

The little monkey slowly stood up, holding the gun in his hand ready to attack at any time, and called his companions to come over: "Don't be careless, two people in a group, check the guns on the bandits one by one, and shoot anyone who moves."

Luke didn't intervene.

No training is better than real combat, this is the best internship.

Seeing four police academy cadets with blue brims on their hats coming out, Luke breathed a sigh of relief: at least none of these rookies were shot.

Claire watched her companions clean up the guns of the gangsters, but reported the bad news: "Luke, both of our leading officers were shot."

Luke hummed, "I'll go check it out."

Behind the police car, two patrol officers, a man and a woman, were leaning against the front door, groaning in pain.

Luke quickly checked it and nodded to comfort him, "It's a penetrating wound, but no major blood vessels or bones were injured, so it's not a big problem. Have you called an ambulance?"

Claire: “Yes.”

Luke: "That's fine. Do you have any first aid supplies in your police car?"

Claire quickly found a first aid kit.

Luke found a pair of rubber gloves and gave one to each of the two patrolmen. He asked them to use their gloved hands to temporarily press the large blood vessels near the wound. "This can reduce the amount of bleeding. If the ambulance arrives too late, just use the bandages."

As for bandaging or something like that, he was too lazy to do it.

The injuries of the two patrolmen were far from the point where they required emergency treatment, and the medical staff would naturally do this once the ambulance arrived.

After her companions had cleared the area, she relaxed and kept saying "oh" while jumping up and down in front of Luke. "I saw you. You looked so handsome just now, Luke."

She made the same gesture as Luke had just made, drawing and putting away his gun, to indicate what she was talking about.

Luke smiled and patted her head: "Of course. I told you a long time ago that I am the best fighter among the Los Angeles police."

The little monkey chuckled: "I thought you were bragging. Your shooting skills in middle school were far worse than mine."

Luke: "It's been a year since I graduated from high school. I've made a lot of progress!"

"Hey, Luke," a voice interrupted.

Luke tilted his head, smiled and nodded: "Hello, Miss Thompson."

"Didn't I tell you last time that you can just call me Karen?" The blonde Miss Karen Thompson took the initiative to extend her hand and shook hands with him.

Luke squeezed lightly and wanted to let go, but Karen's hands were very strong and she held on for two seconds before letting go.

His expression remained unchanged, and he smiled and said, "It seems that the results of your training are good."

Karen: "Thanks to Claire for putting us on safety protocol as soon as the firefight started."

Luke hummed and looked at Claire: Could it be that this little brat had made public the safety rules that he taught her

Claire noticed his gaze and began to explain, "There are three main points in the student safety rules. They are very simple."
