Selina didn't bother to deal with his nonsense and glanced at him: "Why did Elena come to the United States? For tourism?"

Luke also picked up a bun and ate it. He said casually, "She got the exchange student qualification and is now a student at the New Jersey Palande School of the Arts."

Selina said "oh" and didn't ask any more questions.

Luke had never been an ascetic.

When he was in Los Angeles, he would go out at night.

Most of the time he went to see Ginny, and occasionally he would meet up with Ximena and spend a night together.

There were also two other regular women, but she didn't ask who they were because he didn't meet them very often.

Considering Luke's age, wealth and physical condition, this number of women is already very moderate.

Like some boys who play basketball in college, they party every night and accept everyone who comes.

And Ginny has been very busy lately.

After coming to New York, Luke only went to see Ginny once.

The appearance of Elena simply brought his life back to the rhythm of Los Angeles.

Selina was too lazy to say anything.

Today is still a busy day, but it is a leisurely day for Luke and Selina.

Of course they would not investigate the case of the body dumped at Fort Tryon Park Pier. Kilgrave, who was actually investigating the case before, was already dead, so the two of them actually had no more cases.

As soon as noon arrived, the two of them disappeared under the pretext of going out to look for clues in the afternoon, and returned home to resume their respective training and work.

But in the afternoon, there was a knock on Luke's door.

Luke, who was working on the first floor, checked the surveillance camera, wiped his hands and went to open the door.

Outside the door were two "acquaintances" who had just become acquainted.

He greeted with a smile: "Fudge, Matt, how come you have time to come to see me today?"

Fudge: "I heard from Charlie that you guys are back, so I came to see you."

Seeing his expression, Luke simply opened the door and made way for him: "Come in, you must not just come to visit my new neighbor, otherwise you should at least bring me some fruits or snacks."

Fudge and Matt were both a little embarrassed when they heard this, and realized that they seemed to have forgotten about it.

Visiting a new neighbor for the first time and showing up empty-handed usually means that you don't have a good relationship with that person.

After Luke and the other two entered the room, he went upstairs and the door closed automatically.

He turned his head and smiled: "Okay, it's just a joke, don't mind it."

When they got to the second floor, Luke served them coffee. After the three of them sat down, he said, "If you have anything to say, just tell me. Besides, your firm's business is booming, so you must be very busy."

After hearing this, they both wanted to smile bitterly when thinking about the "business" in their own office.

After a moment, Fudge spoke again: "It's like this. We heard that a police officer in the detective department was attacked recently?"

Luke nodded.

The Detective Bureau has been very active in recent days, and has even eradicated the Bloody Skull Gang. This matter was never kept secret in the first place, and anyone with even a passing acquaintance in NYPD could have found out about it.

Fudge hesitated and lowered his voice a little: "I also heard that the injured person seems to be Inspector Walter?"

Luke continued to nod his head in affirmation: "It's him."

"Is he, seriously injured?" Fudge asked.

Luke: "He'll have to lie down for about a month. But he was almost seriously injured and killed that night. He's lucky to be alive."

"I hope he recovers," Fudge said, frowning. "Do you think this has anything to do with his investigation of the bombing?"

Luke pondered, his eyes scanning the two people opposite him several times before nodding: "That should be it."

Upon hearing this, Fudge's expression turned ugly: "Did that 'Black Mask' really do it?"

Luke shook his head: "The attackers have been found. They are gang members, not the Mr. Black Mask."

He didn't even look at Matt when he said this.

Seeing Fudge's expression, he laughed, "Fudge, the Detective Bureau is not focusing on arresting this Black Mask."

Fudge wondered: "Why?" He knew that the police had issued a warrant for Black Mask, accusing him of assaulting police officers and launching a bomb attack.

Luke shrugged. "I've also learned about the reputation of this Black Mask from the Temple siblings. It's basically positive. The few negative comments about him all come from the accusations of the 15th Precinct. When I first arrived at NYPD, several colleagues warned me that the 15th Precinct had a very bad reputation and was not trustworthy."

Fudge was speechless.

Luke took a sip of coffee and played with the small cup in his hand. "Even within the detective bureau, no one believed the lies of the 15th precinct. And when Walter investigated the bombing case, someone wearing a black hood came to his house and injured him. You lawyers are no strangers to this kind of tactics, right?"

Fudge and Matt certainly understood that many lawyers were more adept at this technique than the police.

"Frame-up!" Fudge said this through gritted teeth.

This matter has a lot to do with him.

He was also a victim in the explosion that night, but he was lucky not to be seriously injured.

Among the other innocent people affected, several were seriously injured, and there was a lot of property damage, such as old lady Elena.

If the bombing was not committed by Black Mask, then his previous hatred was directed at the wrong person.

"Have you reached any preliminary conclusion?" Fudge couldn't help but ask.

Luke picked up the coffee and took a sip slowly: "It depends on whether you are asking this question as a lawyer or as a friend today."

Fudge was stunned, but Matt understood in his heart: his friend had inside information and the lawyer could only say nothing.

"I promise, this is just a casual chat between friends." Matt, who had always been very quiet, suddenly interrupted.

Luke raised an eyebrow and looked at Fudge: "What do you think?"

Fudge nodded decisively: "This is just a casual chat. Only the three of us know the content."

Luke hummed, put down his coffee cup, picked up the small cake on the table and took a bite. "On the surface, all the evidence points to a gang called Bloody Skull in Brooklyn. Most of the members of this gang have been thrown into the detention room, except for the boss Billy Walton who has disappeared without a trace."

Both Fudge and Matt paid close attention, listening carefully.

Luke took another bite of the cake and said, "According to the two attackers, this Billy Walton was the instigator."

Both Fudge and Matt frowned.

The Blood Skulls were just one of the gangs in Brooklyn, and not one of the most famous ones. The two people who had been in Manhattan for a long time had never heard of them.

If it was really this Billy Walton who planned the bombing, then the possibility of getting compensation from the missing person is extremely low.

Luke looked at the expressions of the two men and continued, "However, we believe that Billy is just an executor. The mastermind of the bombing should be Kingpin's men."

"Kingpin?" Fudge repeated the name blankly, obviously knowing nothing about it.

Matt's expression remained the same, but he leaned forward slightly, clearly intrigued by the name.
