The intersection of Ninth and Eleventh Avenues in Manhattan.
It was evening, the sea was filled with golden afterglow, the spring breeze was blowing, the Chelsea Pier was sparkling, and the yachts moored there were swaying.
As the weather gets warmer, more and more customers come here. Two figures appear out of nowhere in a place that passers-by can't notice.
Next to Chelsea Piers is the Bayfront Prison, where the mysterious girl disappeared.
"What should I do next? Do you want me to go inside and take a look?" The little spider rubbed his hands, eager to try against the high walls of the prison.
"Is your new suit insulated? I suspect the barbed wire on it has a voltage of 100,000 volts." Lynn looked up and found that the prison was bare with only high walls standing.
"Maybe I should show you my Spider-Man skills." As Spider-Man said this, he shot out spider silk and swung straight towards the high wall in front of him.
"Hey, be careful." Lynn warned.
"Relax, I've been to this kind of place before. You may not believe it, but I even saw a guy trying to escape from prison once."
As Spider-Man spoke, he flipped his body in the air and jumped onto the wall at a perfect angle.
Then, he began to climb up using his hands and feet. When he reached the electric fence at the highest point of the wall, he suddenly let go of his hands and only used the biostatic electricity on his feet to stick to the wall. He then leaned back and made a gesture like a leap of faith.
When his body was almost perpendicular to the wall, he shot out spider silk from both hands, which entangled the insulating pillars supporting the electric fence.
Now he was like an Eskimo skiing on a wall, with two spider threads as his reins to Alaska.
The little spider quietly poked its head out and peeked into the prison through the gaps in the electric fence.
"What did you see?" Lynn asked.
"The prisoners inside are taking a break. Oh, there's a fight going on over there. Lin En, you should come and see it. That little guy is really good at fighting. It seems like he has learned some oriental martial arts."
"Get to the point." Lynn asked with a black question mark.
"There is nothing special in the prison. Everything seems normal. Even the surveillance systems here are normal. I saw that they can still move around."
"That is to say, the surveillance video here has been tampered with... The disappearance of that girl may really be related to this prison." Lin En said after listening.
"But why is the prison targeting Stark Industries?" Spider-Man jumped down from the wall.
"I'll have to ask Ned about this. I hope he can find out the background of this prison as soon as possible." Lin En touched his nose. In fact, he already had a guess in his mind, "Maybe, this matter will be more troublesome."
"You mean, the military?" Spider-Man also felt something.
"Where else can we find a place that can handle the prison? That girl doesn't seem to be an unorganized and undisciplined person. It's very likely that the mastermind behind her is the military."
"But hasn't the military always had a good relationship with Mr. Stark? Especially Colonel Rhodes of the Air Force, who has always had a close relationship with him."
"Oh, you see, Colonel Rhodes is from the Air Force. In their circle, they are called first-class people. Maybe the ones who are targeting Stark Industries this time are his second, third, and fourth-class people." Lynn took out his wand and prepared to replay the image of the crowd.
"I heard that the Air Force has always had a bad relationship with other branches of the military because their treatment is not very fair. The Air Force uses coffee cups that cost $1,200 each and ashtrays that cost $600 each. Those poor Marines don't have Stark Industries as a cash cow to pay for them."
"Luxury... No wonder Aunt May complains about her taxes every day."
"The traces have been revealed."
Lynn slowly walked around to the intersection near the main gate of the prison and released a ball of golden mist slightly closer to the gate.
Few people would pass by this location, and if the girl really had any connection with the prison, she would definitely be discovered by the spell.
The golden mist rose and surged, outlining the images of all the people who passed by here today.
Suddenly, a petite figure caught Lynn's attention.
She seemed to hesitate here for a while, staring at something ahead, hesitating to move forward, and finally suddenly turned around.
Lin En immediately followed the golden shadow.
But then he discovered that the girl's route was very aimless. Occasionally she turned into an alley, and occasionally appeared on the side of the road. He had no idea where she was going.
"Hey, buddy, where are we going?" The little spider at the side followed closely, very confused.
"Shh—" Lynn signaled to Spider-Man not to distract him.
However, the next moment, he was annoyed to find that the golden shadow had disappeared.
Just like last time, the girl disappeared into the crowd again.
"Damn it!" Lynn stopped.
"Hey, sorry man, I didn't mean that!" Spider-Man thought he had interrupted Lynn and quickly raised his hands to clarify.
"No, Peter, I lost him." Lynn shook his head. "The other party was too cautious."
"Hey, maybe this is good news? She didn't end up in that prison, so at least we don't have to face the giant military." Spider-Man has always been optimistic.
"That would be best..." Lin En said this but frowned.
He always felt that things were not that simple.
Why did the girl come back and take such a long and pointless detour
Does she really have nothing to do with that prison
Lynn thought carefully about the possibilities.
He lost the girl twice today. There must be some commonality between them that he overlooked.
What on earth was it? Lynn began to knock his head with his wand out of habit.
As if it had something in mind, the magic wand made a sound like knocking a wooden fish on its own.
Suddenly, his brows twitched.
"Peter, we have to go back!"
Lynn grabbed Spider-Man's shoulder and Apparated back to the intersection.
"Hey, man!" Spider-Man protested, rubbing his shoulders.
Lynn ignored him.
"The traces have been revealed."
The revealing spell was cast, and the girl's golden shadow reappeared at the intersection.
She was wearing a loose sportswear and stood there quietly looking forward.
"What on earth are you looking at?"
Lynn walked over and stood where the girl had stood.
He tried to look in the same direction as the girl.
Then he saw the main entrance to the prison.
And it's covered with cameras.
"Are you avoiding surveillance?" Lynn didn't quite understand. The girl encountered many surveillance cameras along the way and had even been captured by SHIELD. Why did she avoid the surveillance here in the prison
At this time, Little Spider, still with a confused look on his face, stood opposite Lin En and waved at him, thinking he was in a daze.
"What are you looking at?"
"I'm-" Lynn was about to answer.
But suddenly, he seemed to have thought of something and his eyes widened.
