Chapter 13: Macon High School

To Lin En's surprise, he lived an unusually peaceful life in the next few days. The snakehead gang seemed to have forgotten his existence and never sent anyone to Green Gold Lane again.

Lin En was not idle, he studied the time when the Room of Requirement appeared every day, and finally got a preliminary grasp of the movement of the magical train.

Now he could wait for the Room of Requirement to appear on time instead of having to wait all day.

It's easy to get in but hard to get out. Every time he was thrown out of the Room of Requirement, he had to panic for a while - and after a few times, Lin En finally discovered the reason why the Room of Requirement expelled him.

Once, he was thrown out when he encountered robbers. Another time, he saw a few thugs molesting a girl. Then, he encountered fighting scenes, gun battles, and even strange creatures...

At first, Lin En thought it was just his bad luck, but later he realized that it was definitely the Room of Requirement's doing.

This damn Room of Requirement probably received some strong wishes along the way, such as asking God to let a hero appear or something, and simply threw him out as Santa Claus who fulfills wishes.

Generally speaking, the wish that can trigger the Room of Requirement must be extremely strong, which means that every time Lin En comes out, he encounters a very dangerous situation.

Realizing this, Lynn once again had to stand in awe of the public security in New York City. After all, so many incidents could happen on just one subway line.

As a result, he passively became the "Guardian of New York's Underground" and even spent Christmas Day in the sewer with a mutant rat.

Fortunately, this rhythm ended with the end of the holiday.

The winter break for New York high schools usually lasts for half a month, spanning Christmas and New Year, which is considered a relatively long break. During this break, high school students usually spend time with their families, so for the generally unrestrained American high schools, it is a depressing time.

When school starts, the energy that has nowhere to go will be fully released.

The Macon High School where Lynn is studying is a typical American high school full of hormones. There are heavily made-up big sisters, arrogant young men, street gangs with alternative clothing... All kinds of novel experiences have opened Lynn's eyes, so much so that now he just wants to be a nobody quietly.

But he didn't expect that trouble would come to him.

"Hey, Joe, how was your Christmas?" A big lady with brown hair and blue eyes patted Lynn on the back, waking him up from a nap during class.

"Hi, Bonnie, neither good nor bad, how about you?" Lynn was stunned for a moment and remembered who this was.

Bonnie Beth, who has a hot body and sweet looks, sits in front and behind Lynn.

"Wow, Joe, you seem to be a little different." Bonnie Beth was surprised by the tone of Lin's voice when she spoke to her, and she even forgot to explain her purpose in the first place.

"Oh, really? Maybe it's because of Christmas." Lin En smiled. He didn't really care what his classmates thought of him.

Upon hearing this answer, Bonnie Beth simply smiled and put it out of her mind. The purpose of her visit today was not to investigate Lynn's mental condition.

"Joe, are you free tonight?" Bonnie asked "casually" while smoothing her hair and shaking her curvy waist.

From the perspective of others, they would think that Lin En is lucky in love.

However, Lynn is very "unromantic".

"What a coincidence Bonnie, I just happen to be busy tonight."

It's not because he is so aloof, but because he just discovered from his memory that Bonnie Beth is not a good person, but a little gangster who often oppressed and bullied the former Lin En!

Whenever she acted like this, it was always because she wanted to use Lin En as a tool for something. Besides, although she looked very charming now, this was just a little sweet treat she gave in a hypocritical manner. If he didn't agree, something excessive would be waiting for him.

And today just happened that the teacher assigned some graduation-related activities, and Bonnie Beth was obviously using it to push herself.

"What did you say?" Bonnie Beth felt that she had heard it wrong and she could hardly believe her ears.

When did the cowardly Lynn Joe learn to say no to others

"I said I have something to do tonight." Lin En looked into the other person's eyes and spoke in a calm tone.

"Are you rejecting me directly?" Bonnie Beth's smiling face immediately fell.

"In a sense, yes."

"Lynn Joe! How dare you!" Bonnie Beth suddenly realized that the change in Lynn was not an illusion. She was a little angry for a moment and could no longer pretend to have a good image.

"Sorry, I don't think I said anything extreme." Lin En was confused.

"Enough!" Bonnie Bass screamed, she was a little hysterical.

She looked up and down at Lin En angrily, and suddenly seemed to remember something, narrowed her eyes and threatened, "No matter what you think, don't blame me for not reminding you that I am going to attend Bob's party tonight. You should know that Bob from the football team has his own rules."

"But what does it have to do with me?" Lin En waved his hand.

In fact, he knew that among all the celebrities at Macon High School, the school bully Bob was the most arrogant one. He would regularly hold his own parties and invite guys he thought were cool to socialize.

These invited guys were often the scum who were good at bullying their classmates in class. By uniting them, Bob indirectly intimidated those who were bullied and was regarded as the "boss of the bosses", thus gaining prestige in the entire school.

As the boss of the bosses, making Bob's friends unhappy is making Bob unhappy. This is what he calls the rule.

"You said it!" Bonnie Beth said viciously, then disappeared with her sisters.

Lin En chuckled at this. He was really brave enough to be bullied in school.

But what he didn't expect was that Bonnie Bass's revenge came so quickly.

On the way home from school that day, Lin En discovered that a dozen strong guys were following him intentionally or unintentionally.

It was obvious that these people were the ones that Bonnie Beth had hired to teach him a lesson, and judging by their physiques, they were most likely the brothers that Bob had recruited from the football team.

In the end, the gang stopped pretending and cornered Lynn in an alley.

"Lynn Joe?"

A tall red-haired boy walked out of the crowd. He had a strong build and walked with an arrogant gait.

Lynn knew this person, who else could it be but Bob.

"What do you want from me?" Lin En was not panicked. Just when he realized something was wrong, he had quietly cast a supersensory spell on himself, giving himself a buff from a physical point of view.

"Of course there is something. I heard from Bonnie that you don't like my rules?" Bob walked towards Lynn while pinching his finger bones, making a crackling sound.

"Well, so what?"

"So I'm letting you know now whether you have the right to dislike it!"

Bob threw a punch.
