Chapter 30: The duo's actions

Stark isn't the only one hoping to speed things up.

Ever since Spider-Man witnessed the harm caused by mutants, he has become more and more eager to spy on the Sith Industries laboratory.

Therefore, he would show up on Lin En's way home from school from time to time recently to discuss matters related to the Polyjuice Potion with him face to face.

"What? A month? By then New York will become a city of zombies!"

After hearing Lin En tell him how long it would take to brew the Polyjuice Potion, Spider-Man became a little anxious.

"When making potions, you must follow the steps strictly. Any wrong step will lead to failure." Lin En tapped the former, telling him not to be impatient.

"Is there no way to shorten the time?"

"You don't want to drink it and turn into a troll or something and never be able to change back, do you?"

"Oh... that sounds pretty disgusting. Don't you have any other way to transform directly?"

"The Transfiguration Charm is a very advanced spell. I don't know it yet, and this spell can't transform me into another person." Lynn picked up a fallen leaf from a car on the side of the road and considered this possibility.

"Transform quickly!"

Lynn quietly pointed the wand in his sleeve at the leaf and turned it into a Spider-Man doll.

But the proportions of that Spider-Man doll were terrible, with an exaggerated big belly and bloated limbs, like Spider-Ham.

“You see, my current level is limited.” Lynn threw the doll into the air, and the little spider clinging to the roof caught it.

"Hey buddy, I suspect you did it on purpose. I don't have such a soft butt..." The little spider was also very dissatisfied with it.

"Emm... It turns out that you Spider-Mans care about that place a lot." Lin En thought thoughtfully.

Of course Spider-Man didn't understand what was said, but he had long been accustomed to the guy's behavior of occasionally throwing out new words, so he got back to the point:

"Hey, listen, how about we change our thinking? Since we can't shorten the time it takes to make the Polyjuice Potion, why not lengthen our real time?"

When it comes to creative ideas, Spider-Man has to win.

"Extend the time? Are you planning to target Doctor Strange again?" Lin En understood immediately.

"Oh, brother, I find that I like you more and more! You know, one time Stephen and I targeted the same group of people, and when he took action, he also implicated me. Hey, guess what?"

"I was trapped in a fantasy world. When I came out, the clock outside had only moved for one minute, but my watch had moved for 12 hours! I was trapped for half a day!"

The little spider became more and more excited as he spoke, and he felt that this method was feasible.

"Oh my God, are you asking me to fight Doctor Strange and then have him lock me up for a month?" Lin En held his forehead with his hand.

"No, no, no, listen to me. Do you remember that I told you before that there are a lot of herbs in the sanctuary? I heard from another wizard that time does not flow in places where herbs are stored. I was wondering if we can give it a try?"

"Are you stuck here with a bug?"

"OK, it seems you are still not used to this spirit of adventure." Xiao Chong waved his hand and continued, "Since it takes a month, when do we start brewing it?"

"First, get some lacewings and leeches. You fly around New York all day. Don't you know some mysterious herbal merchants or something?"

"Oh, look at what you said - 'flying around', I think I heard the goddess of jealousy screaming." Spider-Man complained, "The people who sell these things are Mexican businessmen, but you know, they don't just sell this."

"OK, I want a list tomorrow."

"Don't worry, I can take care of this." Spider-Man naturally thought of Ned.

"Then what? These things should be gathered soon. What is our next plan?"

"Find a way to get your hands on the hair of Janelle Paa, CEO of Sith Industries."

"Oh, this may be difficult. People of their class have their own personal assistants and don't even go to the hair salon... Maybe I can try the dry cleaning shop near his house."

"Very good, if you want to become his pet cat... Let me tell you in advance that I don't know how to mix the restoration potion." Lynn thought of Hermione Granger, who had been fooled by this method.

"Oh, one point for Spider-Man... Hey, from what you said, do you have a solution?"

As they were almost at Lynn's house, Spider-Man jumped down from the roof and waited for the traffic light with Lynn, ending their loud conspiracy.

Then I saw Lin En said maliciously:

"There's a charity gala this weekend that Janel Paa will be attending, and you can sneak in and be a doorman."

Lynn knew that the other party was only Spider-Man when he put on the battle suit, and the one without the suit was Peter Parker. According to Peter Parker's personality, he absolutely did not want to go to such an occasion with his real face.

Sure enough, the next second he heard Spider-Man's excuse:

"Hey, that sounds great, but how am I supposed to get in? Security must be tight. And..."

"No need for that. I'll take care of this. You should pay more attention to Mutant Jack recently. He is very cunning and there's no telling what he will do."

After waiting for the traffic light, Lin En walked towards the Green and Gold Lane across the street. He waved behind him and said goodbye to Spider-Man.

the next day.

As soon as Lynn finished his morning class, he saw Hughes White sneaking up to the door of his classroom.

"Hey, where have you been these two days? Did you ask for leave?" Lin En was about to look for him.

"Listen buddy, I'm going to tell you some explosive news." Hughes did not answer directly, but looked profound and mysterious.

"What's the explosive news?"

"Shh, listen to me, mutants appeared in New York two days ago!" Hughes made a rather exaggerated expression.

"I know the legend about the Lizard Man hiding in New York." Lynn rolled his eyes.

"Nonono, this time it was real mutants who attacked the 65th subway station and even caused the appearance of Iron Man and Doctor Strange. However, the news has been blocked and is only circulated in some upper circles."

"Are you interested in mutants? Is that why you asked for leave yesterday?"

"Hehehe... Asking for leave is another matter, but aren't you interested in mutants? Strengthening the body and gaining superpowers really makes people imagine endlessly." Hughes suddenly lost his composure when he heard this question, and even a hint of embarrassment appeared on his face.

Lin En was not surprised by this answer. The person in front of him was a die-hard superhero fan.

You probably wouldn't have thought that I witnessed all of this yesterday... Lin En thought to himself and complained:

"Maybe it has mutated into a form that is neither human nor ghost..."

"Lynn, you really don't look like a New Yorker..." Hughes was very bothered by Lynn's indifferent reaction.

"You don't look like you're sick, so what did you do yesterday?" Lin En was curious.

"Ahem, to tell you the truth, they were hiding from the mutants... Hey, don't laugh, all the rich people I know in New York were hiding from the mutants yesterday!"

"OK, I'll hold back. By the way, Hughes, speaking of the rich in New York, do you know about the charity auction party this weekend?"
