Bring A Magic Wand to The American Comics

Chapter 90: Clear the fog and look into the future

Views:

Every March, high schools in the United States have spring break, and students have a happy time for one to two weeks.

It is spring time now, everything looks brand new, and many traditional scenic spots are open one after another. Many people choose to travel in groups of three or five, camp by the lake, or go hiking.

Only Lynn hadn't planned what to do yet.

His only two friends, Hughes White, followed his father to Fiji. They heard that there were continuous volcanic islands, blue sea and sky, coconut breeze and sea music, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. In addition, there were groups of beautiful women.

Peter Parker, on the other hand, was in the mood for spring just like the weather. He had already made an appointment with MJ to go on a spring outing. I heard it was going to a reptile museum and an observatory or something, but it sounded quite boring anyway.

Even Lynn's target, Dr. Eric Selvig, was dragged by Lu Dan along with his chair to Mexico to see cacti in the desert.

"There is emptiness... a emptiness like never before."

Lynn was paralyzed in the attic, rubbing the controller and running around the map aimlessly in a game called Red Dead Redemption.

He had originally planned to use this holiday to get close to Selvig and see if he could cast a spell on him or give him some psychological hints to make him resist Nick Fury's Cosmic Cube plan a little.

But the other party had left and he suddenly lost motivation.

As Lin En was thinking about this, he accidentally fell off a cliff on his horse in the game. The screen went dark, bringing him back from his distraction.

How about going out for a walk

Once this thought appeared, it quickly occupied Lynn's mind.

What should I do

The vacation is long, so you always have to have a plan.

Lin En counted on his fingers and found that there were two things that he had always put in the corner.

Learning divination, preparing for animagus.

"Divination... I've had some strange premonitions in the past few days. Maybe I should give it a try?"

"Animagus... If we want to get close to Selvig and the Cosmic Cube, we have to sneak into the secret base of SHIELD. Maybe this is a good option?"

"Emm... Lin En, Lin En, you are so lazy. You have so many things on hold, but you can still sleep..."

He remembered the words of a famous teacher.

Lynn has never been a proactive person, but once he has a clear direction, he can quickly become an action-oriented person.

Ten minutes later, he appeared on the platform of the 9th subway station.

"I need a divination classroom."

Lin En waited for the familiar train and jumped on it with ease.

The Room of Requirement had already prepared everything for him.

This is an old tiered classroom, surrounded by black and red velvet curtains. They are heavily decorated and make the classroom dark and claustrophobic.

This made Lin En notice the existence of several crystal balls at a glance. They flashed a faint light and lay quietly on the low desk. It was unknown how many years had passed and they were covered with dust.

When Lin En got closer, he found that these low desks were actually more like coffee tables, because there were several chipped enamel teacups on them, and there were even years of tea stains in them.

"Textbooks are flying."

Lynn raised her wand and turned around to summon in the classroom.

Then, a table and chairs fell down with a bang on the stairs above, stirring up a lot of dust, and a brand new large book struggled to fly out from it.

"Seeing the Future through the Mist" is a black hardcover with a hazy full moon on the cover.

The book seemed out of place with its surroundings. It was at least 90% new, as if it had never been opened.

It seems that divination is really not very popular, and some people are too lazy to even open the textbook.

Lynn traced the spine of the book and opened the first page.

The wise pursue wisdom, while the ignorant cling to ignorance.

Wow, what a correct nonsense statement.

Are you living in confusion, anxiety and fear? And your friends and family can't feel your worries? Relax, this shows that you are a smart person and you don't fit in with the stupidity of others.

The stupid fools are unable to realize those fleeting flashes of inspiration. They are the abandoned people, trapped in the mist, waiting for the rescue of the wise.

And if you are unfortunately such a fool, don't panic. This book will open your wisdom and lead you to appreciate the mystery of divination.

As Lynn read on, she finally understood why Hermione Granger disliked this course.

He continued reading:

Palmistry: Reading Your Fate

Tea leaf divination: simple and effective

Crystal Ball: Destiny

Lin En simply turned to the chapter on tea leaf divination and started making tea according to the instructions.

"Clear water like a spring."

"The whirlwind swept away."

"Burning Flames"

"It's done."

Soon, the classroom was filled with the aroma of tea.

Lynn poured herself a glass and sipped it slowly, following the steps in the book.

This step seems to be the authentic requirement for drinking the legendary sweet foam, sip along the edge of the tea bowl, spin the tea bowl in your hand, and drink it around and around.

This is a technical job. The first time Lin En tried it, his tongue was numbed by the burns.

But he still managed to empty the tea bowl, leaving behind a pile of tea leaves.

Then, he shook it three times as instructed in the book and turned it upside down on the saucer.

Wait for the tea to drain out, then look at the shape of the tea leaves piled up.

"Looks like a kangaroo..."

Lynn turned to the appendix and looked through it according to the tea table.

Kangaroos - Unexpected travel.

Traveling? That doesn't sound very reliable. He would rather travel around the map in the game.

Lynn turned another angle.

"It looks like a mountain from this perspective, so what does the mountain represent?" Lin En muttered to himself, indexing the pages of the book with his fingers.

Mountain: A long journey or obstacle.

Something is wrong!

"Is this a superstition? Let me change the angle... It looks like a banana from this angle, and it looks like an anchor from this angle."

Lynn looked down at the book and was stunned.

Banana: I’m about to go on a business trip.

Anchor: Journey far.

this…

Lynn closed the book and caught her breath.

All signs indicate that he really does have some gift of prophecy.

It’s just the content of the prophecy—why does it all point to a long journey

The only long journey he could think of was to Mexico.

But there is no reason for this

There was no need for him to go look for Thor and Loki right now.

So, Lynn turned his attention to the crystal ball on the other side of the table.

Objects with smooth surfaces may occasionally shine, which may contain spiritual light. Put aside distracting thoughts, gaze at it, and feel the enlightenment of wisdom.

Is it enough to just stare at it stupidly

Lynn was very skeptical.

However, he still squinted and looked at the crystal ball.

But nothing seemed to happen.

The crystal ball sat quietly on the tray, reflecting the folds of the lining cloth on the ground. They were magnified and bent by the arc-shaped crystal, and faint blue and yellow lights were analyzed on the edges.

In this dim light and the overflowing fragrance of tea, Lin En felt that he was almost sleepy.

His eyes closed accidentally, and when he opened them again—

A picture emerged in the crystal ball.

A man holding a blue cube stabbed a dagger into Nick Fury's heart, enjoying the glory of victory like a god-king.

The background in which he was standing was a desert.
