In the empty carriage, there sat a man in a neat suit, completely hiding himself behind a newspaper.
Suddenly, there was a dull sound of footsteps on the floor in front of him. He put down the newspaper and put it aside. The hanging ring gently stroked it and emitted a golden glow, causing it to fold automatically.
"I think we should talk."
Doctor Strange looked up at Lin En who appeared out of nowhere, his expression calm.
This surprised Lynn very much.
You know, he had already prepared to teleport away.
The previous two times he merely moved the cabinet, and the other party and Kamar-Taj wanted to tie him up immediately. Why is it that now that the matter has been settled, the other party seems to be so nonchalant
"It's hard to believe you would make such a request." Lynn stared at Doctor Strange suspiciously, the other party's trick of catching the turtle in the jar was still fresh in his mind.
"There are indeed many problems between us, but... Stark told me that there is no acquaintance without fighting. Nick Fury vouches for you, and Mr. Parker trusts you. I think I might give you a chance."
Strange clasped their fingers together and looked at Lynn with his eagle eyes.
"It is truly an honor, respected Dimensional Guardian, Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, Doctor Strange."
Lynn sat across from Strange, and her tone was not very friendly.
"So you also know that I am the guardian of the dimension. In that case, why don't you explain who you are and where you come from?" Strange's approach was very direct.
"Didn't Nick Fury tell you that I know my origins very clearly?" Lynn had already made up his mind.
"But as a child born and raised in New York, you have been trying to communicate with other dimensions. This makes Kamar-Taj suspect that you have been bewitched by the abyss." Strange narrowed his eyes and stared at Lin En with his deep eyes. "Now, tell me what kind of dimension that is."
"It was originally dark there, but one could also see the brilliant starry sky. A noble and terrifying lord composed of the light of billions of stars occupied the place alone, quietly observing everything."
Lynn said as she smiled.
He was somewhat unhappy with Doctor Strange's attitude; he felt that he was interrogating a prisoner.
So, he wanted to take some initiative.
"Dimension Guardian, can you please explain why I see in you a power from an unknown dimension that can destroy the world?"
As expected, Strange's expression became serious after hearing these words.
Strange knew Lynn was talking about the dark dimension and Dormammu.
The other party actually knew this secret
In Kamar-Taj, only two people knew about this: the deceased Ancient One and Strange himself.
Even the king, whom Strange trusted the most, knew nothing about it.
Strange looked unnatural for a while, then quickly said:
"Kama-Taj walks on the edge of the dimension, facing the darkness and guarding the boundary of light, but that does not mean that it will allow others to introduce unknown darkness into the world of light."
Strange spoke with great righteousness when he said this.
But Lin En knew it clearly that when this guy first discovered that the Ancient One was connected to the dark dimension, his whole mind was in trouble.
He can still bring it up without blushing or beating his heart, he must have brainwashed himself a lot in the past.
But gradually, Lin En began to be curious about one thing. The other party actually sat down and talked with him calmly. This was simply incredible.
I just communicated clearly with another world, but Doctor Strange didn't mention it at all. It's really strange.
"Look, everyone has secrets, even you, Dr. Strange." Lynn felt a big change in momentum. "You are confident that you can keep the darkness at bay, and I am confident that I can handle my side of the business."
"Then, how do you prove that what you are doing does not threaten the security of the universe?" Strange leaned forward slightly, and the conversation between the two entered a critical stage.
"But, Dr. Strange, how can you prove that I am definitely threatening the security of the universe?" Lynn asked sharply.
"It has been more than three months since you first noticed me, but every time you have troubled me, it was based on your speculations."
"If I remember correctly, even in court, the principle of presumption of innocence should be followed, and you have been presupposing my position. Is this the way of Kamar-Taj?"
Lynn said this bluntly, and he had wanted to throw these words in Doctor Strange's face a long time ago.
Strange was silent for a moment.
"My duty requires me to not make any mistakes." His eyes were firm again, "No matter what your position is, communicating with unknown dimensions will never be allowed by Kamar-Taj."
"You don't know about the terrifying existences lurking outside the dimension. They are eyeing us covetously. What you are trying to do is very dangerous. Once the passage is really established, both dimensions will fall into an inevitable crisis. I hope today is your last attempt."
Strange looked serious and stared into Lynn's eyes, understanding every word.
His attitude was very clear.
He could accept Lin's existence and the magic that was similar to that of the rough stone, but the prerequisite was that he should not step into the restricted area of the dimension.
Is this a conditional compromise
Lynn understood what Strange meant.
However, he was more interested in something else.
The channel between the two dimensions has obviously been established, but Strange still said it was "once the channel is really established". Does that mean he doesn't know about this
Lynn's eyebrows rose imperceptibly.
Is it possible that the other party was able to sense the dimensional communication previously, but his own reckless attempts caused the channel to become unstable
And once the Vanishing Cabinet is repaired and the passage is stabilized, he will no longer be able to detect such fluctuations
After all, the magic of the Vanishing Cabinet is that it can even bypass the forbidden spells of Hogwarts. I guess it can also bypass Doctor Strange's monitoring
The more Lynn thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
In that case...
"I'm glad we didn't actually become enemies."
Lynn stood up and accepted the conditions proposed by Strange - but he had to give a big discount to this condition first.
Strange also stood up, and at the same time a golden circle peeled off from the air.
"Then I look forward to your further contributions to New York."
Doctor Strange looked at Lynn again and nodded.
"I hope so." Lynn smiled.
“Buzz—”
Doctor Strange finally stepped into the secret door and disappeared from the carriage.
But Lynn was in no hurry to leave.
He wanted to go back to the Room of Requirement to verify his previous thoughts.
