Bring A Magic Wand to The American Comics

Chapter 99: Mysterious girl

Someone sneaked into the conference room and stole the data from the main computer. The information on it is very confidential, so we have to find a way to get it back.

Lynn quietly took out her cell phone and took a look, and found that it was indeed Pepper asking for help.

He looked up at Pepper in the distance and nodded to show that he understood.

Who on earth is so bold as to steal information right under Stark's nose

Is it a competitor? A civilian organization? Or the military

Lynn didn't expect the action against Stark would come so quickly.

"For safety reasons, please go to the lounges and wait. We will quickly check for hidden dangers and restore order at the venue."

Seeing whispers starting to appear in the meeting room, Pepper picked up the microphone and quickly made arrangements.

"Hughes, I'm going to the bathroom."

Lynn found an excuse to slip away.

Soon, only a group of men in black were left guarding the exhibition hall.

"Sir, please go to the lounge and wait." A burly man in black stopped Lin En.

Before Lynn could say anything, Pepper's voice sounded behind her.

"Stop, this is a distinguished guest from Stark Industries."

She stopped the security personnel from stopping her and turned to apologize to Lynn.

"Long time no see, Ms. Pepper, what exactly is going on?"

"We called up the surveillance and found that someone had hacked into the conference host on the local area network. The host contained the competitive product parameters and R&D information of the participating manufacturers, and these files had been copied."

Pepper was always steady, and she explained things briefly and clearly.

"Did you find out who the intruder is?"

Pepper shook her head, looking serious:

"The technical department said that the man used a very sophisticated physical intrusion method to implant a Trojan program through the venue's audio and video hardware. However, there were hundreds of projection speakers and wireless headphones in the venue, many of which were in blind spots for surveillance, and people were coming in and out, so the surveillance could not be checked."

"But didn't the alarm just go off? Could he still be inside the building?"

"That was the anti-copy alarm for the files on the host computer, but the other party somehow bypassed the alarm and did not trigger it until the copying was completed."

Pepper crossed her arms, as she often did when she was upset.

"So, he might have slipped away?"

"Yes." Pepper looked worried.

"Does Mr. Stark know about this?"

"He just found out about it. He suspects that this was a premeditated action. There have been many people secretly watching Tony. Although the Omnic Project is still confidential, the people behind it can always find out something. Tony suspects that a powerful force is involved in this intrusion."

Lynn nodded. His idea was exactly the same as Stark's. The hacker could break in so smoothly because he must have done a lot of preparation and probably got help from some resources.

For example, how can he be sure that the audio and video system is connected to the main unit at the venue

I'm afraid they are colluding with internal staff.

And who can handle Stark's internal employees

There is really a lot of room for imagination here.

"I'll try my best to find some clues." Lynn nodded.

Pepper was grateful.

Lynn took out his wand and walked towards the entrance of the venue.

"The traces have been revealed."

There are only about a hundred people attending the meeting today, so he can use this spell to see if there are any suspicious faces.

Soon in his eyes, golden mist spread out and formed one human figure after another in the air. They passed through the entrance of the venue as if a video was accelerated.

There were all kinds of people there, including business owners, professional managers, technical personnel from various fields, and accompanying family members.

After looking around, Lynn found that the most suspicious people were himself and Hughes.

Just when Lin En was about to give up and go back, a figure flowing against the current caught his attention.

The man was wearing loose clothes and had a slim figure, but every step he took outlined a curve and his gait looked like a woman's.

Not long after she left, a group of men in black rushed into the venue from outside the building.

Could it be this woman

Lin En walked slowly in the direction the woman went out, and the trace-revealing spell continued to surge. The golden mist was illusory and rapidly evolved into pedestrians in historical time and space.

Only at the very front, the petite golden figure remained stable, like a ghost guiding Lin En.

Lynn followed silently and soon came to a crossroads.

This is a busy area with a crowded crowd. Golden mist instantly filled Lin En's vision.

But the petite figure in front did not stop. Without any delay, she blended straight into the crowd and disappeared in the golden wave.

Lin En tried several more times at various intersections, but the flow of people was too heavy, so he had to return in vain.

When he returned to Stark Tower, he happened to see Stark himself.

He is always late.

"Oh, any news? Our magical boy." Stark used a relaxed tone to dispel his irritable mood.

"Mr. Stark, we need to ask Jarvis to call in the surveillance footage and investigate the woman who left the building before an alarm sounded." Lynn replied.

Although the woman had been carefully avoiding surveillance, with the time clues provided by Lynn, Jarvis soon captured her image elsewhere.

"Is it her?"

Stark raised his wrist, and a small holographic projection began to play.

It was a girl, who looked thin and young. She was wearing a loose sweatshirt, her long golden hair was tied into a ponytail, and she was wearing sports headphones. She mixed into the crowd and entered the building. After seeing the camera, she put on the sweatshirt cover.

The way she walked was exactly the same as the profile image Lin En had seen earlier, like a joyful oriole.

"It should be her."

Although all the evidence showed that this conclusion was most likely correct, Lin En always felt something was strange.

Such a girl who looks carefree, lively and active actually dared to blatantly come to Iron Man's territory to steal information.

Moreover, her methods were very clever, calm and experienced, and she was able to escape unscathed after a successful attack.

Even, I lost myself.

"Is this an agent of SHIELD?"

Lynn looked back at Stark and found that he also looked puzzled.

"Jarvis, check the list of participants and verify the credentials she produced when she entered."

"The results show that she came in with someone from Dartmont Hydraulic Transmission Systems, sir." Jarvis gave the results quickly.

“Can the lists be compared?”

"Sir, there are no women on the list of attendees submitted by Dartmon, but the staff statistics show that the other party is fully staffed."

"Oh, damn, she just stole an admission ticket and walked in so brazenly." Stark held his forehead with his hand. The company's security measures really needed to be upgraded.

"What's in the information she stole?" Lynn asked.

"About 70% of the intelligent machinery project is about the research direction of the components, the investment proportion of each partner company, and—" Stark paused and patted Lin En on the shoulder, "a list of both nominal and hidden shareholders."
