Huang Jiaran carried her gifts and went upstairs happily. She politely said goodbye to her parents before leaving. Shen Yu and Huang Sicheng smiled as they watched Huang Jiaran carry such a large pile of things upstairs by herself without asking for anyone's help. They felt relieved and thought that their child had finally grown up and they didn't have to worry too much about him.
Then Shen Yu also went back to the room to rest, leaving Huang Sicheng alone sitting in the living room. He took out his phone, dialed an unknown number, put on his clothes and went out, but he didn't say anything. He just told Uncle Huang that if the young lady and the lady wanted to eat or drink anything, he should make it for them, and then he drove away by himself without even taking a driver.
On the other side, Long Xiangtian returned to his home. Lin Yan looked at Long Xiangtian in surprise and asked him puzzledly, "Why are you back? Didn't you say you were going to teach your students ancient martial arts at their homes?"
Long Xiangtian shook his head, took off his shoes, put on comfortable slippers, walked towards Lin Yan, and explained to Lin Yan: "The child had a small accident. She accidentally sprained her foot and couldn't do the next step of the practice, so she had to come back first."
Lin Yan listened to what Long Xiangtian said and nodded, but ignored him. She just sat on the sofa with the watermelon in her arms, sitting lazily. She took the spoon in her left hand and scooped a spoonful of watermelon into her mouth. She ate happily while watching TV.
Long Xiangtian looked at Lin Yan and followed his example, sitting on the sofa and hugging Lin Yan. Lin Yan twisted awkwardly, trying to break free from Long Xiangtian's arms. She leaned back on the sofa and ate watermelon. It was just a symbolic struggle, and then she lay lazily in Long Xiangtian's arms again, spending the whole morning like this.
It was twelve o'clock in the afternoon. Lin Yan touched her stomach which was filled with watermelon, looked up at Long Xiangtian and asked him if he wanted to eat lunch and if there was anything that Long Xiangtian wanted to eat. Long Xiangtian thought about it carefully, but couldn't think of anything. He asked Lin Yan if she wanted to eat anything. But he looked at Lin Yan in his arms jokingly and said that she must not be hungry after eating such a big watermelon in the whole morning.
Lin Yan was a little angry and embarrassed. She put the watermelon and spoon in her hand on the table beside them. She didn't even wipe the watermelon juice from her mouth. She was so angry that she stretched out her hand, clenched it into a fist, and pretended to hit Long Xiangtian. Long Xiangtian just smiled and held Lin Yan's fist, brought it to his mouth, and gently kissed the back of Lin Yan's hand. Lin Yan quickly withdrew her hand, turned around, and shrank into Long Xiangtian's arms, ignoring Long Xiangtian. However, her red earlobes had already betrayed her.
Long Xiangtian laughed softly, and Lin Yan's face became even redder as her chest shook a few times. Long Xiangtian called Lin Yan's name a few times, but Lin Yan was angry and ignored Long Xiangtian with her head down. Long Xiangtian had no choice but to pick Lin Yan up and carry her to the bedroom.
Lin Yan was suddenly picked up by Long Xiangtian. She screamed and put her arms around Long Xiangtian's neck. She looked at Long Xiangtian's profile and snorted, but didn't say anything else.
Long Xiangtian just gently put Lin Yan on the bed, looked into Lin Yan's eyes seriously, and coaxed Lin Yan, saying that he would go cook first. He told Lin Yan to lie on the bed obediently. She had watched TV series for the whole morning and should not stare at the TV anymore.
Lin Yan glanced at Long Xiangtian and said nothing. Just a look and Long Xiangtian could understand what Lin Yan meant. He knew that Lin Yan agreed tacitly, so Long Xiangtian turned around and walked straight to the kitchen.
Lin Yan covered herself with the quilt, squinted her eyes comfortably and yawned. Because she had to prepare lessons for that group of lovely children this week, she didn't sleep well at night. Lin Yan had dark circles under her eyes. Long Xiangtian had talked to Lin Yan about this matter many times, but Lin Yan just wouldn't listen. There was no way, Long Xiangtian had to help Lin Yan find information and organize files. Every time Long Xiangtian sorted out the information, he would give it to Lin Yan. Lin Yan would read it over and over again, practice her pronunciation, see if her pronunciation was standard, and see if the information was accurate. She also specially prepared many short stories and told them during class.
So Long Xiangtian could usually go to bed at half past ten, but Lin Yan had to go to bed late at night, so Lin Yan had very heavy dark circles under her eyes. However, going to school to teach children Chinese was indeed much easier than working in the police station. Lin Yan just felt very happy to be with the children and did not feel physically or mentally exhausted at all.
Lin Yan yawned, unable to hide the sleepiness in her eyes, and she lay down on the soft bed and fell asleep comfortably.
When she fell asleep, there was still a hint of smile on Lin Yan's lips. When Long Xiangtian walked into the room, he saw Lin Yan lying on the bed, sleeping under the quilt. He did not wake Lin Yan up and ask her to get up and eat, but chose to let Lin Yan continue to sleep peacefully.
Long Xiangtian also felt sorry for Lin Yan's hard week-long teaching life. Although Lin Yan had asked for it herself, seeing how hard Lin Yan worked, Long Xiangtian still didn't want to let Lin Yan do it.
Long Xiangtian once advised Lin Yan not to work so hard, as it was only a week's teaching. However, Lin Yan disagreed and shook her head at Long Xiangtian, saying that she couldn't do that. Although it was only a week, she still had to be responsible for those children. Long Xiangtian said a few more words to Lin Yan, but Lin Yan didn't say anything. The stubbornness on Lin Yan's face told Long Xiangtian how determined Lin Yan was to teach those children well. Long Xiangtian had to stop persuading Lin Yan and just silently helped Lin Yan prepare and organize the materials.
Long Xiangtian silently retreated to the living room, gently closed the door, finished his lunch and cleaned up everything. Some of the dishes were Lin Yan's favorite, but Long Xiangtian didn't touch them at all. He wrapped them in plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator, for fear that they would go bad. He hoped that when Lin Yan woke up, he could heat them up and eat them again.
After Long Xiangtian cleaned up the dishes he had used, he returned to his room. Before opening the door, Long Xiangtian looked at Lin Yan's room, smiled helplessly, and went back to sleep.
Huang Sicheng was sitting in a teahouse called Tianxia Wuyou. He held his cup of tea, smelled the aroma of the tea, took a deep breath, and was deeply intoxicated. He said to the person opposite him: "You really know how to enjoy yourself. You can find such a good teahouse. I really envy you for your good luck."
