Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 1014: Bitter secret love

Views:

After the three arrived at Hogsmeade, they decided to go to Honeydukes Candy Shop first, which was one of the favorite places for Hogwarts students to go after arriving in Hogsmeade.

The smell of taffy in Honeydukes always made people happy, and Hermione planned to buy some candy from the store as gifts.

When the three were about to enter the candy store, someone happened to walk out of the store. That person was an acquaintance of theirs. It should be said that as long as one is a student at Hogwarts, he knows the famous Albert Anderson.

At this moment, Albert was holding a paper bag full of candies and talking to the red-haired girl beside him, and seemed not to notice the three of them.

When Harry entered the store, he found that the girls in the store were all staring at the door, and some of them even broke their lollipops into pieces.

“Albert is still as popular as ever.”

As soon as Harry entered the store, he quickly moved to the side so as not to block the girls' view.

"Who's that guy?" Ron muttered.

"Albert's girlfriend, a very charming girl." Hermione was a little envious. She was very close to her just now, and she could clearly feel Isobel's gentle and elegant temperament.

In fact, not only the girls, but many boys were staring at their backs as they left.

Who doesn't like a beautiful girl

Just like girls like handsome guys.

"No, I mean who is the boy next to Ginny?" Ron didn't notice the girls' gazes at all. He was still standing at the door of the candy store, looking at somewhere unknown.

Just now, Ron saw Ginny following a boy into the Three Broomsticks.

"What?" Harry was confused.

"Michael Corner." Hermione nudged Ron, signaling him not to block the door of the candy store. "Ginny is dating him."

"My sister is in love?" Ron said in shock.

"Keep your voice down Ron, do you want everyone to hear?"

George appeared out of nowhere, put his hand on Ron's shoulder, and signaled his brother to shut up.

"Ginny is also old enough to start dating. I remember Albert found a girlfriend in his second year of school." Lee Jordan was checking out at the counter with several large boxes of Bibi Every Flavour Beans in his hands.

"He was only a few years old at that time."

Hermione was a little surprised. How old was Albert in the second grade? Twelve or thirteen when he started dating

"Don't listen to that guy's nonsense, he just broke up recently." George didn't want any weird rumors to spread in the school tomorrow.

"You're the one who's heartbroken. No, you don't even have a first love." Lee Jordan laughed.

George shrugged indifferently, paid the bill, put his arm around Lee Jordan's shoulder and left the candy store.

"When?" Ron asked through gritted teeth.

"They met at the Yule Ball late last year," Hermione replied casually as she searched the shelves for the candy she wanted, "and then they started dating."

"No wonder that guy was there." Ron stared at the cream mints in the carton and muttered, "I thought Ginny liked Harry."

"Ginny used to like Harry." Hermione took some Super Bubble Gum and turned to Harry and said, "Of course, Ginny didn't dislike you, she just gave up."

"Oh!" Harry didn't care what Hermione said. His eyes passed through the window of the candy shop and fell on Qiu Zhang who was holding Diggory's wrist. The two walked towards the Three Broomsticks not far away.

Hermione glanced at Ron who was nagging nonstop, then looked at Harry who was attracted by the girl, sighed softly and said, "Ginny knew you would explode when you heard it, so she didn't tell you that she was dating Michael. For God's sake, grow up, Ron."

"Who explodes upon hearing that?" Ron muttered angrily.

"Then you should be happy that Ginny has found a boyfriend." Hermione looked at Ron, who was still cursing Michael Corner under his breath, and turned to ask Harry, who was holding a sugar quill beside him: "What about you, Harry?"

"Me what?" Harry asked absently.

"You're not going to give up yet?" Hermione lowered her voice and said, "You just couldn't take your eyes off Qiu Zhang."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Harry felt his cheeks burning and was annoyed that his secrets had been exposed.

"Give up what?" Ron asked stupidly, obviously not hearing what Hermione said before.

"Did you find anything you wanted to buy?" Harry said quickly to change the subject. "Let's go to the Three Broomsticks for a drink!"

Hermione sighed and stopped trying to persuade him. She could see that Harry liked Cho Chang, but there was no way they could be together because Cho Chang liked Cedric Diggory. As far as Hermione knew, Cedric and Cho had been dating for a long time, so Harry's invitation to the Christmas dance last year was doomed to fail.

The three of them bought a large bag of candy in the store, then left the candy store filled with the aroma of toffee and headed to the Three Broomsticks Bar which was very lively not far away.

Every time they visited Hogsmeade, everyone would go to the Three Broomsticks for a Butterbeer.

The place was packed with Hogwarts students, and the three also met George and Lee Jordan, who were whispering with Mundungus, a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

"What do you think they're doing?" Hermione stared warily at the leather bag that Mundungus handed to George.

"They occasionally get some smuggled contraband from Mundungus." Harry knew some of the secrets, as he once caught them doing a secret deal. "Some of their joke props require small amounts of contraband ingredients."

Harry's eyes scanned the patrons in the bar, searching for that familiar figure.

"I'm actually more curious about where Fred went." Ron's eyes were fixed on Mrs. Rosmerta, the charming proprietress at the bar.

"Would you like a whisky?" Hermione said suddenly.

"That's a good idea." Ron stood up and wanted to go to the bar to order a glass of hot whiskey.

"She won't sell it to you."

"How would you know?" Ron retorted.

"You're not an adult yet." Hermione took a sip of butterbeer, looked at Ron who ran to the bar to order a hot whiskey, and shook her head with a hopeless expression.

In fact, both of them knew that Ron had secretly liked Madam Rosmerta for a long time, just as Hermione and Ron knew that Harry liked Cho Chang, and they also knew that Hermione liked Albert.

"I don't understand what's going on in Ron's head," Hermione muttered.

"Hermione, what about you?" Harry asked back.

"Me? I just admire him a little bit." Facing Harry's question, Hermione's reaction was very calm. She knew what Harry was referring to. "In fact, most girls in Hogwarts admire Albert, just like those girls also like handsome Cedric."

Hermione was smarter than Harry and Ron. Her liking for Albert was more like chasing a star. Many girls in Hogwarts actually had a similar mentality.

Not long after, Ron came back dejected. Apparently he didn't buy any Hot Whiskey and looked a little disappointed.

Harry and Hermione didn't say anything either, and there was a brief silence around them.

Just then, Fred appeared out of nowhere, and the conversation at the next long table attracted the attention of the three people again.

"It's over so soon." Lee Jordan teased, "You weren't rejected by Angelina!"

"No, Angelina said she plans to devote most of her energy to Quidditch this semester." Fred shrugged and said, "But she is willing to keep in touch with me after graduation. You can't expect everyone to be as lucky as Albert."

"We just ran into Albert. They were shopping at Honeydukes." George lowered his voice. "I suspect they go here often for dates."

"I bet Angelina just wanted an excuse to get rid of you," Lee Jordan muttered, taking a swig of butterbeer. "Otherwise she wouldn't have said that."

"As long as you are happy."

Fred didn't tell the truth just now, Angelina actually agreed.
