"What are you discussing?"

As soon as Hagrid came out of the woods, he saw Harry, Hermione and Ron standing in front of the hunting lodge, whispering to each other. No one knew what they were talking about.

Hermione turned her head to look in the direction of the Forbidden Forest, noticed the injury on Hagrid's face, and asked worriedly: "Hagrid, how did you get hurt again?"

"Hagrid, you're not going to fight a troll, are you?" Harry asked jokingly.

"How is that possible?" Hagrid waved his hand impatiently.

"The injuries on your body look like you were beaten." Ron doubted that apart from the troll, there was anything else in the Forbidden Forest that could hurt Hagrid.

"What do you want from me?"

Hagrid changed the subject, took out the key from his pocket, opened the wooden door of the hunting lodge, and invited Harry and the other two in for tea.

The room was cold, the fire had long been extinguished, and the things inside were placed in a mess. After Hagrid entered the room, he immediately lit the firewood in the fireplace, hung the kettle to boil water, then took out something that looked like a bone from the bag on the fireplace and threw it to Fang.

"Hagrid, what is this?" Ron asked curiously as he looked at Yaya eating.

"Albert asked the house elf to deliver this last night. He said it was food for Fang." Hagrid threw the towel into the bucket, took it out and wrung it dry before applying it to the wound on his face. "Hermione, help me get the bottle of medicine from the cabinet behind you."

"What's this, Hagrid?" asked Hermione.

"Those are painkillers. Albert told me to throw away the dragon meat, but I think dragon meat is more effective in relieving pain." Hagrid looked at the large bottle of medicine in front of him and felt a little scared. "Why doesn't it say how many pills to take?"

"Don't take medicine carelessly?" Hermione frowned and said, "Given Albert's character, he will definitely leave you a note or something."

"It seems that there is indeed a letter. I remember that the letter seemed to be in..."

Hagrid looked around and finally found the letter next to the mortar. He opened it and pulled out two pieces of parchment. After reading the contents of the letter, he looked at the medicine bottle in his hand and muttered, "Do I have to take five pills at a time? I hope this thing works."

As he said that, Hagrid threw down the letter, poured five pills into his mouth, chewed them and swallowed them with difficulty. His face wrinkled because of the bitterness of the painkillers.

"Hagrid, you have to swallow the pill." Hermione was speechless. It was the first time she saw someone chewing pills as candy beans.

"Swallow it?"

Hagrid was a little confused. He had never eaten anything like this before. No wonder it was so bitter.

Hermione picked up the letter, read its contents carefully, and looked at Hagrid with a helpless smile, because Albert had clearly mentioned that painkillers were best taken orally, and the parchment not only contained instructions for using painkillers, but also instructions for wound treatment and the use of difficile as a treatment.

Hermione's eyes fell on the stone mortar, and sure enough, there was a large amount of dill beside it. That should be what Albert asked the house-elves to send to Hagrid for his treatment of his wounds.

"You should take a closer look at the advice Albert gave you, and also at how you got injured, Hagrid." Hermione suspected that Albert knew the reason why Hagrid was injured, otherwise he would not have prepared a large bottle of painkillers. Who knows how long this stuff can last.

"Well... don't worry, I'm fine, just a little hurt." Hagrid comforted casually, seeming reluctant to mention his injury. He then wet the towel in ice water, wrung it out and applied it to the wound, then picked some white fresh water and threw it into the stone mortar to crush it, ready to apply it to the wound later.

"You don't look okay right now." Harry was a little worried that Hagrid had raised something dangerous in the Forbidden Forest again

If the Toad found out by then, he would be happy to fire Hagrid or even put him in Azkaban prison.

Ron and Hermione had obviously thought of this, and after exchanging glances, Hermione said, "By the way, Hagrid, how are you preparing for the Care of Magical Creatures class?"

"Toad really wants to fire you, and you're her first target." Ron suspected that Hagrid didn't realize the seriousness of the problem at all.

"Toad?" asked Hagrid, confused.

"Toad is Umbridge's nickname. She was once turned into a pink toad," Harry explained to Hagrid. "Later, everyone privately called her Toad."

"Oh, I know. It's the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, right? Albert told me about the review." Hagrid comforted.

The three of them looked at each other, and finally Harry spoke up to remind Hagrid, "Toad has always wanted to expel teachers who have close ties with Dumbledore."

"We don't want you to be fired as soon as you get back," Ron continued.

"So please, Hagrid, teach us something normal," Hermione's voice was pleading. "Something that will definitely be in the 0.W.Ls exams, like thorns, unicorns, or fire crabs."

"I'm ready. I can definitely give you a surprise." Hagrid almost patted his chest to assure the three of them.

"Toads don't care about surprises," Ron warned. "Trelawney gave Toad a big surprise and now she's on detention."

"We don't think you'll be that lucky," Harry warned. "The Toad hates your half-giant bloodline and even mentioned it in the newspapers. Hagrid, don't get your hopes up."

"Don't worry, I'm confident in my preparations." Hagrid still didn't intend to change his plan, "Besides, even if I'm expelled, I can still work for the Order of the Phoenix."

The three of them looked at each other, feeling that what they had just said was in vain.

"What advice did Albert give you, Hagrid?" Hermione asked suddenly. "I'm sure he told you about it."

"He seemed to ask me to prepare well for the review." Hagrid scratched the back of his head in confusion.

"That's impossible, Harry, look at the letter." Hermione didn't believe that Albert would not give Hagrid some reminders. The most likely possibility was that Hagrid himself ignored it.

"Hagrid, what are Thestrals?" Harry asked suddenly.

"What's wrong, Harry?" Hagrid asked somewhat surprised.

"Anderson asked you to introduce the Thestrals to everyone." Harry raised the parchment in his hand and continued, "By the way, there is another letter here."

"What did the letter say?"

Harry was about to hand the parchment to Hagrid, but Hagrid didn't take it. Instead, he asked Harry what was on the parchment.

"Really?" Harry asked doubtfully.

"Of course." Hagrid was so busy applying dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane to the wound that he couldn't spare his hands.

"He said he recognized your efforts..."

Harry frowned, and Hermione and Ron leaned over to read the contents of the parchment. He continued, "I understand how you feel, but your efforts haven't been very effective. He advised you to give up, and he said he couldn't help you with that matter."

"Hagrid, what did Albert say?" Hermione felt that what Albert mentioned in the letter was the reason why Hagrid was injured.

"You're not really keeping any dangerous magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest!" Harry asked anxiously.

"No." Hagrid shook his head.

"Umbridge has always wanted to make an example of someone, and you are the one she wants to fire the most," Harry warned again. "If Toad finds out that you have some terrible magical animal in the Forbidden Forest, he will definitely not mind firing you and then killing your pet. I dare say Toad is definitely capable of doing this."

"Albert mentioned this to me." Hagrid clenched his fists after hearing what Harry said. He would never allow the situation Harry mentioned to happen.

"Did he mention anything else in the letter?" Hagrid was not surprised that Albert knew about Grawp. In Hagrid's mind, Albert was a man of great power and there was almost nothing that could be hidden from him.

Seeing that Hagrid seemed unwilling to mention that matter, everyone stopped asking. They suspected that Hagrid had raised some dangerous magical animals in the Forbidden Forest again.

Harry's eyes fell on the parchment again and he continued, "He said in the letter that he hoped you would pick up Firenze when the time came to prevent him from being killed by the centaurs... He thought Dumbledore might, might have overlooked something, or..."

Firenze? Centaur

Harry, Ron and Hermione were all confused, obviously not understanding the meaning of the parchment.

Why was Firenze killed by the Centaurs

"I think I've heard that name somewhere," Harry whispered.

"The centaur who saved you in the Forbidden Forest in your first year," Hermione reminded.

"Oh, it's him, but isn't Firenze a centaur?" Harry was even more confused.

The three of them looked at Hagrid, but Hagrid obviously didn't understand the meaning of the letter either.

"I'm sure Albert knows you won't read this letter carefully." Hermione took the letter, read it carefully, and said firmly, "This letter is written for us to read."

"That guy is always so mysterious. It's best to ask him directly." Harry said to Hagrid. "He reminded you of this specifically. There must be a reason."

After the three of them had a cup of tea at Hagrid's, they returned to the castle. Harry and Ron had accumulated a lot of homework recently, and they had to hurry to finish it.

"What do you think Hagrid kept in the Forbidden Forest?" Harry suddenly asked on the way back to the castle.

"Troll?" Ron guessed.

"Definitely not. His injuries look like he's been in a fight." Hermione remembered how Hagrid looked when he just came back.

"I'm sure Albert knows." Harry did not forget Albert's rejection of what Hagrid hid in the Forbidden Forest in the letter.

"Could it be... a giant?" Hermione said tremblingly, "Hagrid said it took him more than a month to find the giant camp, but it took him two months to come back, and his injuries were definitely caused by a beating."

Harry and Ron looked at each other. They felt that what Hermione said made sense.

"But how did he do it? I mean he certainly couldn't get the giant to follow him." Harry was trying his best to deny Hermione's guess.

After a long silence, Hermione said tremblingly, "Maybe it was a young giant. Don't forget, Hagrid raised a dragon, but... I don't understand why Hagrid did this, why he had to make his life so difficult."

Hermione was almost certain of her guess. She had not forgotten what Albert wrote in the letter: I recognize your efforts and understand your feelings, but your efforts have not been very effective. I advise you to give up. I can't help you in this matter.

"Hiding the giant in the woods, I dare say he must be crazy. No wonder Anderson refused to help him." Ron simply couldn't understand what was going on in Hagrid's mind.

"Albert definitely knows something. I have to go talk to him." Hermione murmured, "I really don't understand why Hagrid did this."
