Chapter 117: Bracelet that brings luck

Views:

weekend.

It was a sunny day, perfect for watching a Quidditch match.

At half past ten in the morning, Albert and his companions set out from the castle and walked through the snow on the road to the stands of the stadium. A large number of students had already gathered here, and everyone was talking loudly about the outcome of the game.

"Good morning, Hagrid." Albert greeted Hagrid who was holding binoculars.

"Thank you for the hat." Hagrid patted the woolen hat on his head. "I never thought I would get a present at Christmas."

"You can think of it as a return gift," Albert said with a smile.

"In return?" Hagrid asked, puzzled. "In return for what?"

"Guardian tree branch, unicorn tail hair." Albert raised his wrist, and there was an exquisite white bracelet on it.

"What's this?"

"I made this bracelet with the unicorn tail hair and the guardian tree you gave me, which can bring good luck to people." Albert said with a smile, "It can bring good luck to the wearer."

"Bring luck to the wearer?" Hagrid muttered. "I've never heard of unicorn tails or guardian trees bringing luck to the wearer."

Fred, George and Lee Jordan beside them couldn't help laughing.

You like to fool others, and now you are frustrated!

"But you've woven this rope very beautifully." Hagrid coughed lightly.

"I mean the runes on it." Albert picked up two pendants made from the guardian tree and showed them to the three people. On them were engraved the runes that Albert had shown them a while ago.

"You actually carved that strange rune on it. Are you sure it really works?" George asked suspiciously.

"Who knows?" Albert shrugged and said, "Maybe it can really bring good luck, then we'll be lucky."

Originally, Albert was planning to make a protective bracelet.

However, after breaking several beads one after another, I gave up temporarily and chose to carve the simplest good luck rune.

As for whether this thing can bring him good luck, Albert actually has no idea.

Anyway, when he tried to use his own blood to activate the runes on the beads, he didn't feel anything special.

I guess it failed.

However, Albert still wore it on his body, just to verify whether the rune was really effective.

"Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff, does anyone want to place a bet?" At this time, several senior students came over with wooden boxes for betting, and the shouting interrupted Albert's thoughts.

The twins seemed ready to place a bet, and Lee Jordan next to them had already pulled out a silver Sickle.

"Who are you betting will win?" The three of them looked at Albert.

"I bet that Gryffindor will win if they catch the Golden Snitch." Albert took out a silver Sickle to place the bet.

"The same goes for us." The three of them handed the money to each other in unison.

"A lot of people bet on this, but the odds aren't high. If you bet on Hufflepuff to win, we'll give you three times the odds," said the senior student.

"No, Gryffindor."

Albert didn't care whether he could win money or not, he just wanted to have fun, purely for the atmosphere.

"What's your name?" the senior student asked, pulling out a notebook and quill.

"His name is Albert Anderson." Fred answered for Albert.

"Albert Anderson," the senior scribbled something and handed it to Fred. "We'll be at the exit after the game. If you win your bet, come find us with the note."

Albert looked at his three roommates and said speechlessly, "Aren't you afraid of losing money?"

"We believe in your luck." The three said in unison. Since Albert had made the bet, even though the probability was low, they were actually willing to try their luck.

“My luck?” Albert couldn’t help but roll his eyes and said, “Just don’t blame me if you lose money.”

"We won't," Fred said. "We don't think that the Gryffindor team, which has been practicing hard, will lose to the Hufflepuff team."

"Gambling is not a good habit." Hagrid raised an eyebrow and reminded.

"This is just for the atmosphere. Besides, I have a lucky bracelet and I have pretty good luck," Albert said confidently.

"I just thought you were going to bet 10 Galleons."

"Do you think I'm a fool?" Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes and said, "This kind of private gambling is never reliable. If I bet 10 Galleons and win, can the other party return the Galleons I won?"

"I don't think I can take it out." Fred thought for a moment and replied.

"Well, it seems you know what you are doing." Hagrid nodded. There is nothing wrong with occasional gambling.

"Last time he bet on who would be the Minister of Magic, he won 100 Galleons." Lee Jordan explained, "This guy has an incredibly good luck."

Hagrid opened his mouth in surprise and threw the thought in his mind to the ground and stomped it to pieces.

"Ahem, Hagrid, which pair do you think will win?" Albert asked.

"Gryffindor, of course," said Hagrid grumpily. "It's best not to bet. No one can win all the time."

"Ahem, I know this very well."

In fact, Albert really won the bet, and the Gryffindor team finally defeated the Hufflepuff team.

This exciting game lasted only an hour, and Charlie successfully caught the Golden Snitch and brought victory to the team.

“I won.”

“I won.”

"Ah, the note... the note is flying." George screamed.

In the end, it was Hagrid who reached out to help them retrieve the parchment. Fortunately, there was no wind that day.

"Give the parchment to Albert, you unreliable guy." Lee Jordan snatched the parchment from Fred and stuffed it into Albert's hand.

"Accident, it was just an accident." Fred laughed awkwardly. He was also sweating coldly just now. This thing was worth eight silver Sickles.

"Thank you, Hagrid." Albert thanked Hagrid.

"You're welcome."

Albert and his companions found the two senior students at the entrance and took the eight silver coins from them.

"See, my lucky bracelet still brings me luck." Albert blinked and said, "Those runes are still useful."

"You've got pretty good luck!" Fred couldn't help but roll his eyes. Winning the bet made them all feel pretty good.

“By the way, did you enter the forest from this side last time?” Albert glanced at the nearby forest and suddenly asked.

Fred and George's expressions froze. Asshole, Hagrid is right next to us, don't mention this.

"Into the woods?" Hagrid stared at the four people in front of him warily.

"Hagrid, can you take us into the forest to broaden our horizons?" Albert looked in the direction of the Forbidden Forest and asked Hagrid beside him.

"That won't do," Hagrid refused flatly.

Albert did not betray Fred and George's embarrassment at all, "They sneaked into the woods before, saying that the woods next to the school are very ordinary."

"You guys really are..."

"You bastard." The twins glared at Albert. This guy actually betrayed them so easily.

"Ahem, I heard from others that there are many secrets hidden in the Forbidden Forest. You can take us in for a walk to satisfy our curiosity." Albert winked at Hagrid and said, "From now on, we won't be curious about what's in that forest anymore."

Hagrid was silent for a moment, as if thinking about something, and finally shook his head to refuse.

"Can't you ensure our safety?"

"School rules prohibit students from entering the woods," said Hagrid.

"In fact, I think Dumbledore's prohibition of others from entering the forest will only arouse the students' curiosity." Albert said, "As far as I know, many people have already quietly entered the forest."

"A lot of people?" Hagrid glared at the Weasley brothers.

"Ahem, they are just one example." Albert explained, "We just want to satisfy our curiosity. Besides, don't you often go into the woods?"

"Okay, just this once, and it won't happen again." Hagrid agreed, "Come with me, and don't run around."

"See! The lucky charm works pretty well, doesn't it?" Albert winked at the three stunned people.

Fred and the other two never thought that Albert could actually convince Hagrid to take them into the woods.
