There are already many signs that prove that Potter has been eyeing Slughorn for a long time.
Malfoy had no idea what Potter was trying to do, but knowing it made him feel strangely anxious.
For some reason, he had a vague feeling that Potter's plan might conflict with his mother's plan, and he couldn't stop it.
This feeling is terrible.
"What are you thinking about?" Pansy sat down on the sofa next to Malfoy.
"How was the Apparition test?" Malfoy asked, changing the subject.
"You actually care about this." Pansy said in surprise. She remembered that since entering school last September, Draco had been indifferent to many things.
"I'm just asking casually." Malfoy looked past the Daily Prophet and looked at the two people on the sofa opposite. "Goyle and Crabbe didn't pass. They said the Apparition test was difficult."
"Anyway, I think it's quite simple. Maybe they should put more effort into practicing." Pansy leaned lazily and rested her head intimately on Malfoy's thigh.
"It's not just us who failed the exam. Ron Weiss also failed." Crabbe tried to defend himself.
"Yes, nearly half of the students failed the exam." Goyle added quickly, as if eager to prove that he was not a fool.
"Oh, the Weisley family is really full of useless people. I heard that those three people were exposed to Apparition earlier than others, yet they failed the exam in the end." Draco fiddled with Pansy's hair with his fingers.
"Oh, it hurts."
Pansy rubbed her scalp and looked at Draco with resentment on her face.
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
Draco quickly loosened his hand and stuffed a few strands of hair into his pocket, while not forgetting to apologize to Pansy.
"What's wrong with you?" Pansy looked up at Draco's face and couldn't help complaining, "It seems like you've been absent-minded throughout the semester."
"You know, a lot has happened in my family in the last year."
Draco silenced Goyle and Crabbe with his eyes and found an excuse for himself.
"Don't worry, it's only temporary." Pansy seemed to realize something and comforted him softly, "The future will definitely be better. I heard from my father that the mysterious man will come back again soon. You..."
"It's not our turn to discuss this. To be honest, I'm a little worried now..." Draco stopped talking before he finished speaking, and stiffly changed the subject, "By the way, I may need your help with my homework recently. I don't want to be detained because of homework again."
"No problem." Pansy said happily.
"You two come along!" Malfoy said to Goyle and Crabbe.
The two looked at each other, neither of them understood what Malfoy was doing. They both knew that Malfoy didn't care about the so-called homework at all, he was planning something big.
Goyle and Crabbe guessed correctly that the so-called homework tutoring was just part of Malfoy's plan.
Since his last brief exchange with Snape, Draco realized that he was powerless to change his mother Narcissa's decision. This was just like when Snape persuaded him to give up using unreliable methods to murder Dumbledore. He could not be easily persuaded. Now the only thing he could do was to actively cooperate with this plan.
Fortunately, the whole plan was not too difficult. He had just obtained Pansy's hair. He just had to mail the hair to his mother. Then, by the weekend, he could use the excuse of tutoring Pansy to keep her company. This would give Narcissa the opportunity to disguise herself as Pansy and sneak into Hogwarts.
Pansy wouldn't get into trouble afterwards, and the entire common room would be able to vouch for her.
As for whether Pansy would be angry after she guessed that she was being used, that was a matter for the future. Anyway, he would definitely not be in school by then.
"When do we start? Now?" Pansy asked excitedly. In the past, Draco always helped her, but now she finally had the chance to do the opposite.
"I'm going to mail a letter first, and we'll start on our homework when I get back."
After Malfoy greeted a few people, he got up and returned to the dormitory, took out two letters he had prepared in advance from the drawer, put Pansy's hair in one of the letters, and walked out of the common room.
The more important reason why Draco was willing to cooperate actively was that Narcissa did not want to steal the Felicity Lectrinium directly, but planned to try to buy the Felicity Lectrinium from Slughorn through Galleons.
After all, his mother was not the slightly crazy Aunt Bella. If the problem could be solved with money, she would not mind spending some money to solve it. That would save a lot of trouble. This was why Draco finally agreed to cooperate actively.
Of course, it was Snape's words that prompted Draco to make the final decision. He had long ago confirmed from his mother that the two of them had indeed made an unbreakable vow.
Once the plan to assassinate Dumbledore failed, everyone would be doomed. Even if Snape wanted to use him, he would definitely not be stupid enough to joke with his own life.
After gently knocking on Snape's office door, Draco handed over the letter directly.
"Thank you for your help," he said.
Snape reached out and took the letter containing the hair and asked, "Has the time been decided?"
"I don't know. You might have to ask them." Draco shook his head.
"I will." Snape looked at Draco deeply, "Leave the rest to me."
After handing the envelope to Snape, Malfoy went to the Owlery again to prepare to mail another letter.
When he finished sending the letter and was about to leave, he noticed someone staring at him. He stopped and turned to look to the side, and saw Porter and the other two walking towards them, and the poor Wes was holding a package in his hand.
"Who are you sending this to?" Ron asked suddenly.
"This is none of your business." Draco said unkindly.
"I heard that your mother Narcissa is wanted by someone with a bounty on her head. Aren't you worried that someone will find her through your owl mail?" Harry said maliciously as he watched Malfoy leave.
"Scarhead, are you threatening me?" Draco stopped and stared at Harry with a gloomy face.
"A threat? No, it's a friendly reminder." Harry smiled and said, "Also, don't think I don't know what you're doing in the Room of Requirement. As the son of a Death Eater, the Ministry of Magic is always monitoring your every move."
"How ridiculous! You think you can scare me with such a little trick?" Malfoy spat on the ground disdainfully and turned away.
"Harry..."
Hermione frowned slightly, not understanding why Harry would do such a thing.
"I always feel that this guy is plotting something." Harry raised his hand to interrupt Hermione and explained, "From his attitude, I am more certain of this. Don't forget Winky's reminder. This guy is definitely planning to use the Room of Requirement to do something."
"But we have no evidence," Hermione reminded.
"Some things don't require evidence. Suspicion is enough." Harry murmured as he looked at Malfoy's back. "The biggest question now is, what exactly do they want to do?"
"I thought you were just trying to scare him?" Ron muttered.
"To scare, of course not." Harry stuffed a brain-enhancing potion into his mouth and shook his head. "If I were Malfoy, I would definitely not use an owl to send things. Instead, I would ask other people for help, such as Snape, if that guy is reliable."
"But Snape is a member of the Order of the Phoenix," Hermione reminded.
"Who knows?"
"That guy is indeed suspicious."
Ron also expressed his doubts. Like Sirius, he now preferred to trust Albert's judgment.
"Let's go."
Harry watched Malfoy disappear into the room, then turned and headed into the Owlery to send a package to Sirius.
Of course, this package was not for Sirius, but for Lee Jordan, and it contained something about the Wizard Card Club.
The Wizard Club competition ended not long ago, and the situation was not very good. Fortunately, the club still had a group of die-hard fans supporting it and it did not collapse. The package contained their designs for new cards, and it was said that the new cards that were adopted would receive a considerable reward.
Looking at the owl flying away, Ron lowered his voice and asked, "What are you going to do? Will Albert really be willing to help?"
"I don't know." Harry shook his head and said, "If it still fails after using the Felix Felicis, I think I may need Albert's help."
"Don't underestimate yourself, Harry. Dumbledore must have his reasons for choosing you." Hermione patted Harry's shoulder and comforted him. "If Albert really had a way to solve the problem, why didn't Dumbledore ask him for help from the beginning?"
"I don't know, maybe this is a test left for me by Dumbledore. After all, I am the so-called savior. If the savior can't even do such a small thing, how can I accomplish the important task of defeating Voldemort in the future?" Harry couldn't help but laugh at himself.
"Harry..."
Listening to Harry's self-deprecation, Hermione and Ron showed worry on their faces. They both knew that the task Dumbledore assigned to Harry put a lot of pressure on him.
"You know, a lot of times I feel like a fool." Harry seemed to have opened up a chatterbox, and he kept complaining to his two friends, "I feel like Dumbledore and Albert are planning something, but they never tell me anything, always keeping us in the dark. I bet all my wealth that Albert knows what Malfoy is planning, but he says nothing and pretends he knows nothing... What a shitty savior."
"Harry, are you okay?" Hermione and Ron were both frightened by Harry's outburst.
"I can feel that Slughorn is still wary of me. If this plan fails, I'd like to see how they deal with it." Harry was indeed full of resentment.
"But Harry..."
"Don't say you didn't feel something was wrong." Harry interrupted impatiently, "Whether it's what Dumbledore and Albert are hiding, or Malfoy who is secretly planning something, or even Bella and Narcissa who are wanted for the Felicia Rinpoche, or Katie who almost lost her life because of the opal necklace, or the prophet Cassandra Wabrsky who left a prophecy after her death, all signs are indicating that something is going to happen."
"This is just your guess. We don't have any evidence. Maybe the situation is not that bad." Hermione said uneasily.
"Don't mention that damn evidence to me. We're not going to court, so we don't need that stuff. If I have to talk about evidence for everything, I'll never be able to complete the task that Dumbledore wants to assign to me." Harry glanced at the stunned Hermione and Ron, and continued, "I have a feeling that the thing they're all waiting for may happen."
