Chapter 125: Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Magic

Views:

The classroom used by the Transfiguration Club had been enlarged by magic at some point.

Professor McGonagall was standing in the middle of the classroom, waving her wand to demonstrate various Transfiguration magics, dazzling everyone present.

Wield fire, control water, and fire dangerous bolts of lightning from your wand. The floor becomes a swamp, churning mud to trap your enemies, or turns into a barrier to protect yourself and block oncoming spells.

As Albert wrote in his paper, Transfiguration can be used in many different ways, and when used at the right time, it can often produce unexpected effects.

Not only Albert, everyone else in the classroom was watching Professor McGonagall's magic in fascination.

However, when everyone suddenly woke up, they found a big problem: if they wanted to reach Professor McGonagall's level, they needed to master more advanced spellcasting skills, but no one present knew how to do it.

Yes, they don’t know how and can’t do it.

Now, Professor McGonagall is showing everyone how to turn objects into living things and manipulate them well.

Water gushed out of the basin and, under Professor McGonagall's control, stood upright like a sinuous python.

In the blink of an eye, the water in the basin disappeared, leaving only a python. It opened its mouth and spit out a hissing sound, crawled out of the basin, and according to Professor McGonagall's instructions, it wrapped itself around a table. The python suddenly disappeared, and only the cage that bound the table was left.

If you are a wizard, if you are caught, you basically have no choice but to accept your fate!

Professor McGonagall waved her wand, and the cage that trapped the table turned into a puddle of water again, wetting the ground.

"Whether it's fire, water, mist, or mud, you can do this." Professor McGonagall said, "I know, we taught smoke spells in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

"Professor McGonagall, I don't think the enemy will give us time to prepare." A Slytherin student reminded.

"I know." Professor McGonagall looked around at everyone and said, "It's usually not useful when dueling with wizards, but sometimes it comes in handy."

Professor McGonagall raised her wand and pointed it. Countless ropes entangled the Slytherin wizard and bound him to his seat.

The next moment, the rope suddenly exploded into a cloud of smoke and disappeared.

"Wizards rarely duel, and even if they do, they don't show dueling etiquette unless you participate in a dueling tournament." Professor McGonagall said calmly, "Defeat the opponent and protect yourself. This is the right thing to do when you are in danger."

After saying that, she raised her magic wand slightly, and two kittens made of water crawled out from the original puddle of water, and they were playing with each other.

Then, the two cats collided with each other and merged into a little cheetah, running around behind everyone. Its sharp eyes swept through their backs, scaring everyone into breaking out in cold sweats.

Under the control of Professor McGonagall, the cheetah split into two human-shaped figures again. They picked up the wooden barrel that was knocked over by the python, jumped into the barrel together, and turned it back into a basin of water.

After the presentation, there was warm applause in the classroom.

Professor McGonagall raised her hand to signal everyone to keep quiet. She said to all the members of the club, "How many kinds of magic did I use just now? How did I do it? If it were you, to what extent would you be able to do it?"

Everyone began to discuss among themselves. The three questions were undoubtedly a difficult problem for most people.

Many people didn't even think about these things when they watched Professor McGonagall perform magic.

Now, I can only rack my brains to think of the answer.

"How much do you understand?" Field exchanged her notes with Albert. After she read the contents of Albert's notes, she was surprised to find that his understanding of magic was not much worse than hers.

"Those Transfiguration magics are too difficult for me now." Albert secretly estimated that he might have to upgrade his Transfiguration to level 3 before he could use Transfiguration magic like Professor McGonagall.

"It seems that he had already thought about these issues when he wrote that paper." Field didn't change much on the surface, but he was very surprised in his heart.

"Where's Baker?" she asked again.

"My situation is similar to yours." Baker was very depressed. Although he had tried very hard to observe, his gains were still very limited.

Originally, everyone thought that they were the best in Transfiguration, and their papers were occasionally published in the magazine "Transfiguration Today".

However, after watching Professor McGonagall's magic demonstration, they suddenly felt that the Transfiguration magic they used was just like a child waving a wand around.

"You need to figure out how I did it, and if you can do it to this extent." Professor McGonagall strolled in the classroom, checking everyone's notes, and the result was not very satisfactory. She continued: "I never expect you to understand it completely, but you need to know a small part. Study it carefully when you go back. I believe you will gain something. Next time, we will still talk about this topic. Well, that's all for today."

"This time it's really hard, harder than all the previous ones." When everyone came out of the portrait after the Transfiguration Club, Baker told Albert dejectedly, "I feel like all the Transfiguration I learned during this period wasted."

"It's not as serious as you say." Albert comforted him, "The gap between us and Professor McGonagall is experience.

"This is more than just a matter of experience." Field shook his head and said, "I don't know when I will be able to reach that level."

"For me, it's just lack of experience." Albert couldn't help but mutter in his heart.

"You wrote that paper. I'm curious about how far you can go." It was Isobel who spoke yet.

The Ravenclaw genius looked at Albert with a complicated expression. She had never thought that he would publish his article in "Transfiguration Today" so quickly.

"Have you ever heard of someone who has high aspirations but low skills? I am one of them." Albert said seriously, "In fact, I am also very curious about why Professor McGonagall chose to publish my paper."

"Don't underestimate yourself. Your paper is of a very high standard, Mr. Anderson." Professor McGonagall said, "What did you gain this time?"

"I discovered that Transfiguration can be played this way." Albert sighed from the bottom of his heart, "Unfortunately, many people are not good at Transfiguration."

"You are right." Professor McGonagall said, "I suggest you talk more with other experts in this field, so that you can improve your level in this area."

"Oh! I will." Albert nodded and watched Professor McGonagall leave.

"It seems that the rumors are correct." Baker said.

"What rumor?" Albert asked curiously.

"Everyone says you are Professor McGonagall's favorite student," Field reminded.

"How come I don't know?" Albert asked puzzled.

Several people looked at each other in surprise when they heard this.
