Chapter 1268: How to defeat Voldemort (Part 2)

"Once upon a time, there were three brothers traveling on a secluded path. It was almost dusk, and they came to a river. However, the river was too deep to wade across, and it was dangerous to swim across. However, the three brothers were proficient in magic, and with a wave of their wands, a bridge appeared over the dangerous river..."

Hermione flipped through her notebook and began to tell Harry and Ron the story of the three brothers that she had translated from The Tales of Beedle the Bard given to them by Dumbledore.

Harry grew up in the Muggle world and was not familiar with wizard fairy tales, but he had recently heard several versions of the three brothers, and the content of the stories was actually similar.

However, Harry and Ron still listened to Hermione's story patiently. The three of them always believed that the story contained some important information that Dumbledore left for them.

"… The third brother lived until he was very old, and finally took off the Invisibility Cloak and handed it to his son. Then he greeted Death like an old friend, and happily left the world with him as an equal."

"Thanks."

Hermione took the butterbeer that Harry handed over, drank some to moisten her throat and said, "This version of the story is actually pretty much the same."

As she spoke, she reached out and picked up the quill next to her and began to extract the key points from the story of the three brothers:

The three brothers, the bridge, the death...

"Why are the bridge and the Grim Reaper also considered the key points? Aren't the three items of the Grim Reaper the most important in this story?" Ron looked at what Hermione had written and said in confusion: "The most powerful wand in the world, the stone that can resurrect the dead, and the Grim Reaper's invisibility cloak."

"Of course they are the key points, but you only see the surface. There are other more important things." Hermione felt that Ron had missed the point.

"I remember Albert once said that this story is true." Ron became more and more excited as he spoke, and he had already stood up from the armchair. "If Harry could get that invincible wand, he would definitely be able to defeat the You-Know-Who easily."

"Yes, that must be the case. Otherwise, even if we destroy all the Horcruxes, it will still be difficult to defeat the You-Know-Who. But as long as Harry can get the Elder Wand, everything will be fine." Ron felt that he had completely seen through the true intention of Dumbledore leaving the book to Hermione. He hoped to use it to guide Harry to find the Elder Wand.

Harry and Hermione looked at each other. Although they thought that what Ron said made some sense, where should they find the Elder Wand

"I think you'd better calm down."

Harry looked at the emotional Ron and gave Hermione a pleading look.

Hermione immediately understood and took out a wooden box from her handbag. She opened it and prepared to let Ron drink some sedatives to calm down first.

"Wait, what are you doing..."

Ron saw Hermione take out the bottle of tranquilizer, forcibly immobilize him, and then poured a small cup of tranquilizer directly into his mouth.

"You want more?" Hermione asked as she released the spell.

"I've calmed down," said Ron grumpily.

"That's good, have some more," Harry said with a smile.

"no thanks."

“It’s a nootropic.”

After Harry took the cup from Hermione, he poured the potion directly into his mouth. It tasted very ordinary, but there was nothing he could do. The candies given by Albert had been eaten, so they could only use the potion brewed by Hermione.

After the three of them drank the intelligence-enhancing drug and their minds became clear, they got straight to the point.

"Even if the legend of the Elder Wand in the story of the three brothers is true, we don't know where to find it." Harry picked up the Tales of Beedle the Bard and continued Ron's previous topic. "And don't forget that our information comes from Albert. He must also know that such a wand exists. Do you think that guy might not be interested in such a wand? Maybe he has actually been secretly looking for the whereabouts of the Elder Wand."

"With Anderson's ability, he might have found the Elder Wand." Ron muttered softly, "I suspect the wand he used is the legendary Elder Wand."

"If Albert heard this, he would have you thrown into St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries."

Hermione felt that Ron's words were too much and almost completely denied all of Albert's efforts and achievements.

"You all grew up in Muggle families, so you probably don't know that the magical powers of Muggle wizards are relatively average. This is one of the reasons why many pure-blood wizards don't marry Muggle wizards." Ron noticed Hermione's unfriendly look and quickly explained, "It's not a secret in wizard families."

"Is Albert a special case?"

"Yes, his magical power is incredibly strong, which is really abnormal, so many wizards in the magical world suspect that he is actually a descendant of a pure-blood family."

"No." Harry shook his head.

"What's not?"

Hermione and Ron both looked at Harry.

"His wand is not the Elder Wand," Harry explained. "During the Goblet of Fire, Mr. Ollivander once checked our wands. Albert's wand was made by Mr. Ollivander. It is said to be a redwood wand that can bring luck to the user."

"Look, I also think Albert doesn't need that thing." Hermione agreed with Harry. "He's a smart man, and he's so powerful. Would he really want a wand that's bound to get him into trouble? I definitely don't want it."

"Don't be silly, Hermione. Who doesn't want a wand that never loses? As long as Harry has it, he will definitely be able to defeat You-Know-Who." Ron looked at Hermione like a fool and said, "As long as you keep quiet and don't show off like the boss in the story, you will definitely not get into trouble."

“Yes.”

"What?"

"Over the past few hundred years, there have been many stories about the Elder Wand in the wizarding world."

"Is there?"

"Professor Binns mentioned this in class, if you paid close attention in history class."

Hermione flipped through her notes again and showed the two the information she had gathered beforehand. "Deathstick, Wand of Destiny, they appear under different names and are usually owned by some dark wizards. I used to think that those were all fallacies, but if there really is such a wand, some things would make sense."

"It makes sense, but I still think it's a little ridiculous?" Harry reminded, "I think the more powerful a wizard is, the more powerful his wand will be."

"What do you mean?" Ron asked puzzled.

"If Albert showed off to others that he had the Elder Wand, do you think others would believe it? And what about Dumbledore, if he said he had the Elder Wand?" Harry asked back, "Others would definitely believe it, right, just like Ron suspected that Albert had the Elder Wand."

"Professor Binns did mention that he thought some wizards just liked to show off that their wands were better than others." Hermione agreed with Harry.

"Oh, okay, but..." Ron was speechless, "We'd better find it and defeat the You-Know-Who with the help of the most powerful wand."

An invincible wand that never loses.

Harry fell into a brief silence. If Albert really took the Elder Wand, would he lend it to him to defeat Voldemort

Or, Albert plans to use it to defeat Voldemort.

That’s good, but…

"Harry, Harry..."

Hermione's voice brought Harry back to his senses.

"Sometimes I really feel like a fool." Harry sighed and asked, "Do you think Albert will come to Bill's wedding?"

"Yes, Fred said he will be back." Ron comforted, "You can find time to talk to him then."

"You are right."

Harry took out his notebook and wrote down what he had just thought. He became more and more eager to ask Albert.

Unfortunately, that guy basically said nothing.

This is really infuriating.
