Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 1300: D.A

Hagrid was ultimately not convinced, and Harry, Hermione and Ron were helpless about this. They all felt that Sirius was right, but since Hagrid himself was unwilling, they couldn't say much.

That night, Hermione went to Harry and Ron's dormitory to discuss tomorrow's affairs and to help them check if they had brought all their belongings.

After all, we don’t know when we will return from this trip to look for Horcruxes.

"... In other words, we will go to the asylum to visit the expelled students first, and then go to Godric's Hollow." Hermione frowned slightly. She knew why Harry was determined to go to Godric's Hollow, but...

"Don't worry Hermione. Even if someone is really monitoring that place, it can't be the You-Know-Who. Besides, we have a detection pocket watch. If we really detect any danger, it won't be too late to leave."

In Harry's opinion, the risk of going to Godric's Hollow was average. Moreover, if he was afraid of such a small trouble, how could he face Voldemort in the future

"But Harry..." Hermione hesitated for a moment and lowered her voice, "They probably guessed that once you were free, the first thing you would do was to visit your parents' graves, right?"

"I believe Voldemort is not so idle as to come and stop me in person." Harry said contemptuously, "That guy looks down on me, which is our advantage."

"Harry, could you please not use that name?" Ron said weakly. "Can we call him the Noseless Monster?"

Harry ignored Ron's words and continued, "We still need to go to Hogwarts. We need the sword of Gryffindor or the fang of the basilisk so that we can destroy it after we find it."

"That's a very risky thing to do?"

Hermione also disagreed with Harry going to Hogwarts.

"No, if we go to Hogwarts before school starts, Snape probably won't be in school at this time." Ron thought they should temporarily avoid Snape and the Death Eaters. "It shouldn't be as dangerous as we imagine, and they probably won't think we'll go to Hogwarts."

"Of course I know that, but..."

Hermione was interrupted by Harry.

"Hermione, have you ever wondered where the Hufflepuff cup is kept?" Harry said suddenly.

"Do you know where the golden cup is?" Hermione's eyes widened in shock.

"Since Voldemort gave the diary to Lucius Malfoy for safekeeping, what about the gold cup, crown, or other things?" Harry asked, "Will he choose to give it to other Death Eaters for safekeeping?"

"That's possible." Hermione thought Harry's idea was correct. "Do you think it was Snape?"

"No, I just think we need to learn something useful from the Silk Eaters, and Snape is undoubtedly a good choice. If we can control Snape, it would be nice to knock something useful out of his mouth." Harry shook a bottle of truth serum, "Don't forget, Snape may be the only one in Hogwarts now, and we can find a bunch of helpers if he is really in Hogwarts."

"Where did you get the truth serum?" Ron was very surprised.

"From Kingsley. Scrimgeour used to torture prisoners with this thing. Kingsley also has it. I asked him for it." Harry handed the bottle to Hermione. "If we are lucky enough, we may even find information about the Ravenclaw Diadem."

"It's a pity that Lucius Malfoy is dead, otherwise we might be able to pry some useful information out of him."

"Yeah, it's a pity that he's dead." Ron gloated, "Draco Malfoy must be very sad. That guy is all alone now."

After the three of them counted the supplies and carefully planned what they were going to do in Godric's Hollow, they went back to rest.

The next morning, after a simple breakfast, the three followed Sirius, Kingsley and Moody to the shelter.

"Shh!"

Moody made a hushing gesture to Harry and the other two, and after carefully observing the surroundings with his fake eye, he spoke a few words to Sirius and Kings in a low voice.

The two exchanged glances and turned away.

"Where are you going?"

Harry asked confusedly after the two returned.

"Deal with the dark wizards who are monitoring this place." Sirius explained, "The Ministry of Magic has been sending people to keep an eye on this place, and we think it's best to keep your whereabouts secret."

“Let’s go!”

After making sure that the surroundings were clear, Moody led the way, leading Harry and the other two to an open space, and took out a silver card from his robe pocket and handed it to Harry.

"Ai..."

"Don't say that here," Moody warned.

"Feel sorry."

A dilapidated hotel appeared in front of them without warning.

Several people quickened their pace and walked forward, then disappeared.

This place is actually similar to the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, except that the headquarters has been carefully cleaned, while this place is obviously still semi-abandoned.

"How's the situation here?"

Kings came and greeted Ted who came over to check the situation.

"Not so good. Those kids only know how to complain now." Ted shook his head and smiled bitterly. He actually regretted taking on this job. Those expelled students always liked to come to him to complain, as if complaining to him could solve the problem.

"Don't say that Ted, it's just a minority."

A voice came from upstairs, it was Dean holding his wand.

"A few, yes, only a few have never complained to me." Ted shook his head. "They have no sense of being refugees. This is not Hogwarts. There are no house-elves to take care of their daily lives."

However, Dean didn't seem to care about what Ted Tonks said. Instead, he looked at Harry, Hermione and Ron and said happily, "Harry, you finally came to visit us. I'm sure everyone will be very happy."

As he spoke, Dean pulled Harry upstairs, ready to tell everyone the news of Harry's arrival.

Hermione and Ron looked at each other and followed them upstairs.

As soon as he reached the third floor, Dean shouted into the corridor: "Look who's here!"

The door of a room in the corridor opened, and several heads popped out of the room. Then someone screamed and shouted: "Harry!"

More and more people were attracted by the noise.

"It's Potter, it's Harry Potter!"

"Ron!"

"Hermione!"

The corridor was soon packed with people, and Harry, Ron and Hermione were surrounded by enthusiastic people.

The people hugged them, shook their hands, and patted their backs, and they all looked extremely excited.

"Harry, are you going to stay here too?" Colin Creevey asked excitedly, with his younger brother Dennis beside him also looking excited.

"No, I just came to visit you. We still have things to do next." Harry looked at everyone's expectant eyes, shook his head and emphasized, "It's very important."

"What important thing?" Someone finally couldn't help but ask.

"How's it here?" Harry changed the subject.

"It's not good, there's nothing here." A girl complained, "Sometimes I feel like a prisoner in prison."

"Can't you just leave here?" Hermione reminded sharply.

There was something unnatural about everyone's expressions.

"This is just a place for you to hide from pursuit temporarily." Hermione felt that this group of people really didn't know what was good for them. "If you need anything, you can spend some Galleons and ask Mr. Tonks to buy it for you."

These words are really harsh.

It was undoubtedly a mockery to everyone present, but they could not refute it.

“It’s really not safe outside.”

Harry interrupted the conflict that was about to break out: "If Remus or Moody has time, they will take the time to come and teach you Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"Of course, this is all voluntary," Harry added.

"Harry, why don't we overthrow Snape?" Justin Finch-Fletchley couldn't help asking.

"And then?" Harry asked.

"What?" Everyone was confused.

"I mean kick Snape out of Hogwarts, and then what?" Harry sighed and asked, "Don't you realize why you are here? It wasn't Snape who expelled you, but Voldemort..."

When Harry mentioned Voldemort in public, everyone around him couldn't help but gasp.

"You need to get used to it." Harry looked at the people with fear on their faces and warned, "Voldemort will not let us go just because we don't call him by his name."

"We are not exaggerating. You should know that there are many Muggle wizards who have been imprisoned in Azkaban Prison." Ron threatened, "I heard that many wizards can't survive more than two weeks."

"Ahem, it's best not to use his name directly outside, because..." Hermione took a deep breath and said, "Because the name Voldemort has been cursed. If it is used outside, it is likely to attract Death Eaters."

"So, you'd better give him another wrong name, such as calling him the Noseless Monster." Harry mentioned the shocking nickname again, "That guy has no nose, and even no lips."

Everyone stared at Harry in amazement, unable to believe what they had just heard.

"Perhaps, we will one day drive Snape out of Hogwarts, but not now." Harry knew what everyone wanted to hear, but he still chose to tell the cruelest truth. "Even if we drive Snape away now, we will only be defeated by Voldemort and the Ministry of Magic in the end, and we will suffer heavy losses. Such a sacrifice is meaningless."

"We don't have many supporters," Hermione reminded.

"How could it be!"

"Unfortunately, most wizards in the wizarding world choose to remain neutral." Harry shrugged helplessly, "However, I am still working hard to defeat the You-Know-Who."

"We're with you Harry," the Creevey brothers said loudly.

They soon gained a few scattered voices of support, all from people Harry knew.

The atmosphere around them suddenly became extremely awkward.

"I didn't ask you to support me. This war is too cruel for you." Harry was not affected by the awkward atmosphere at all and said calmly, "However, I still suggest that you take some time to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts. Whether you have to fight against dark wizards in the future or protect yourself, you will need strength, unless you want to stay in the shelter forever until the end of the Second Wizarding War."

"If you don't want to stay here, you can ask Mr. Tonks to take you away safely, but it may not be safe outside." Hermione emphasized again, but attracted many dissatisfied looks.

"Professor Moody will take some time to give you a Defense Against the Dark Arts class later." Harry raised his hand to suppress the noisy voices and said, "If you want to attend the class, you can go to the second floor. They should be cleaning there now."

As he said that, Harry walked downstairs. He felt that maybe he shouldn't come here today.

"What's wrong, Harry?"

"nothing."

“I don’t think they understand their situation at all.”

"They just..."

Dean was about to say something, but he knew that Ron was actually right. Many students didn't have time to adjust their mindset.

"The environment here is really bad, and it's inevitable that people will complain." Dean sighed.

"Why don't you clean up? You have wands, don't you?" Hermione sneered. The people here really disappointed her.

"This is not Hogwarts. Everything you use is purchased with Galleons donated by everyone. But those few hundred Galleons are only enough to barely maintain the food supply here, so that you can fill your stomach and not starve."

This was said to the students who were eavesdropping.

"How many hundreds of Galleons does that food cost?" Dean couldn't help but scream.

"That's normal!" Ron didn't quite understand why Dean reacted like that, and reminded him, "You probably forgot that there are dozens of people here. If we need one Galleon a day, we'll need 365 Galleons a year. In other words, this place can probably supply food for a year, but no one knows how long this wizard war will last."

Dean fell into a brief silence, then suddenly asked, "Is the Order of the Phoenix still recruiting?"

"You'll have to ask Moody and the others about that."

"I thought you were planning to join the Defense Society." Hannah walked over here, and Justin beside her smiled and shook hands with Harry.

"If you come a few days later, the situation might be much better. Cedric said Albert will take time to come over and deal with these matters soon."

"I just want to get the hell out of here," Dean muttered. "I've had enough of boiled potatoes."

"By the way, Harry, this is for you." Hannah handed the communication bookmark to Harry.

"What is this?" Harry took the communication bookmark in confusion.

"I have contacted Neville. We plan to reorganize Dumbledore's Army. I hope you can..."

"Sorry Hannah, we have our own things to do." Harry refused directly.

"We can help you," Justin said. "You need help."

"Sorry, you can't help with that for now." Harry shook his head.

"Why can't you trust us?" Dean complained quietly.

"Because it's a top secret and no one else knows it." Harry interrupted in a low voice.

"Brother, if you really want to help us, you should train yourself in defense against the dark arts. One day we will fight the You-Know-Who, and then we will need your help." Ron patted Dean on the shoulder and said, "As for the task that Dumbledore left for the three of us, it needs to be kept secret."

"Shut up Ron, maybe I should sew your mouth shut." Hermione glared at Ron in dissatisfaction.

"What mission?"

"Don't ask and don't spread it around. It will do you no good and will only cause us unnecessary trouble." Harry regretted coming here.

However, he also knew that it would be best for him to come and meet them once, which would help to improve cohesion. Even if not all the members who settled here could become a force to resist the mysterious man, there were still some who were worth fighting for.
