Chapter 1305: Subsidize household expenses

Views:

Outside Godric's Hollow, three people who used the Disillusionment Charm to hide their bodies were using telescopes and detection pocket watches to scout Godric's Hollow.

"Something's going on."

Seeing three red dots appear on the detection pocket watch, Hermione spoke up to remind her companions around her.

"There is no fog in Godric's Hollow, so the red dots are probably not Dementors. They are more likely to be dark wizards," Harry speculated.

The red dots on the detection pocket watch usually represent dark wizards and Dementors.

"It's probably the group of Death Eaters that Sirius and Lupin ran into last time." Hermione had expected that the mysterious man would send people to monitor Godric's Hollow.

"The village was peaceful, no signs of Death Eaters were found."

Ron handed the telescope to Hermione, took the detection pocket watch from her, looked it up and down, and asked curiously, "The one Anderson gave you?"

"Yeah." Hermione responded casually, "It seems to be an improved version made by him himself."

"Fred and George really only sell low-quality goods." Ron said resentfully.

"There's nothing we can do about it. The items made by Albert are very expensive and most people can't afford them, so they only sell mass-produced items. Even if they get leaked out, it won't be a big problem." Harry knew Albert quite well, and if he wanted to carry out mass production, simplifying it and reducing costs was a necessary process.

"What are you going to do, according to the plan?" Ron brought the topic back.

"According to the original plan, take care of them first."

Harry decided to follow the original plan. There were only three red dots in Godric's Hollow, and there were three people on their side. With an absolute advantage, Harry didn't think he would lose.

If they can't figure it out this way, all their efforts over this period of time will probably be in vain.

"If the Death Eaters are hiding, there is a high probability that warning magic has been set up in Godric's Hollow." After Hermione put away the telescope, she glanced at the detection pocket watch in Ron's hand and said to Harry and Ron who were looking at her, "But this won't be a problem for us."

After saying that, Hermione took out three silver badges from her small bag, picked out a style she liked and pinned it on her chest, then handed the remaining two badges to Harry and Ron.

"If Albert wasn't married, I would have thought he wanted to woo you." Harry jokingly picked up the stag badge.

"This is not funny. He even has a daughter." Hermione couldn't help rolling her eyes, not knowing what she was thinking.

"He seems to know what our Patronus is?" Ron tried to change the subject. "By the way, what's the use of this badge?"

"It's been cast with a strong shielding spell, so you don't have to worry about being tracked, locked, or triggered by a spell when you put it on." Hermione explained, "Even Harry's Marauder's Map can't reveal us."

"That guy really thought of everything." Harry sighed as he looked at the badge on his chest.

"He is a master of prophecy after all. He can see farther than us." Hermione put away the bag and drew out her wand to remind him, "However, the shielding effect of this badge can only last for a few months."

"We'd better not make too much noise." Ron put away the binoculars handed to him by Hermione and said, "If those three people are a trap..."

"Then it's best to retreat immediately and adopt plan B."

"I know." Harry said without hesitation, "Now follow the plan."

With that, Harry and the other two Apparated away.

According to the original plan, they were to take action at night, and now they were just here to scout the area.

Hermione prepared a dinner with the stored supplies, and the three of them each drank a small glass of butterbeer before going to bed early. They did not get up until the night deepened, and after drinking some strong tea with biscuits, they began to take action.

Harry put on an invisibility cloak and walked at the front of the team. Hermione and Ron used the Disillusionment Charm to keep a short distance from Harry, and then went directly to Godric's Hollow. They did not use the Polyjuice Potion, but chose to use the cover of darkness to quietly approach the location of the red dot on the pocket watch.

It was a Muggle house with the windows closed and even the curtains drawn. It was obvious that they didn't want people to know what was going on inside.

Just a few days before Harry's birthday, two dark wizards occupied this place, using the Muggle house as a cover to monitor Godric's Hollow.

Once wizards arrive here, they will use the Floo Network to contact other people and bring them together to surround Harry Potter.

Sirius and Lupin encountered this situation and helped Harry to tread the minefield.

However, they were careful and did not get blocked.

If Harry, Hermione and Ron used the Polyjuice Potion to disguise themselves as other people, they would definitely be treated the same way as Sirius and Lupin.

However, the shielding badge that Albert gave to Hermione prevented the three from triggering the outer warning magic after entering the village.

Those guys probably didn't expect that the famous Harry Potter was eavesdropping on their conversation just outside the house.

After confirming that it was an enemy, Harry was no longer polite. He gestured to Hermione and Ron who were following behind him, raised his finger and pointed at the front door, made a knocking gesture, and pointed at the back door. The three of them then went their separate ways.

A few seconds later, the low voices in the room were interrupted by a short knock on the door.

It was Ron who raised his hand and knocked on the door again.

The sudden sound immediately alerted the two dark wizards in the room. However, the hesitation warning magic they set up was not triggered, causing the dark wizards inside to think that it was an acquaintance of the homeowner who came to visit.

After looking at each other, a middle-aged wizard raised his wand and walked to the entrance, staring at the wooden door vigilantly.

He didn't open the door, but listened.

"Strange, no one?"

Wait for Ron to knock on the door again.

This time, the door suddenly opened.

The dark wizard in the room raised his wand and looked outside vigilantly, intending to use the forgetfulness spell to get rid of the other party.

However, the dark wizard was shocked to find that there was no one outside.

"What's going on?" his companion asked, frowning.

"I don't know, there's no ..."

Both of them were very cautious and did not go out rashly, but they never expected that someone had already sneaked into the room and was right behind them.

With the help of Hermione and Ron's cover, Harry, hiding under the invisibility cloak, quickly seized the opportunity to launch a sneak attack. He used a stunning spell to easily knock down the two dark wizards with their backs to him, leaving them no time to react.

"That's it. I'm still worried about having to fight."

Ron looked at the two people who were easily knocked down by Harry, and suddenly he didn't know what to say.

"We have all the advantages, it's normal to be so relaxed."

As Hermione took their wands, she turned to look at Ron, who was rummaging in their pockets. "What are you looking for?"

"The spoils of war, of course."

After Ron rummaged through the items in the pockets of the two dark wizards, he found that they were completely paupers.

"Ron, I don't think we should..." Hermione frowned slightly, trying to stop Ron from stealing.

"We need a large amount of Galleons to buy shielding badges from Albert." Ron said without any embarrassment: "Since they are enemies, there is no need to be polite to them. Fred and George call this a subsidy for the family."

Harry didn't care about Ron's behavior. After all, they were enemies. There was no need to be polite to them. They were their trophies anyway.

"To help with the household expenses?" Hermione looked particularly strange.

"The Defense Association also needs money to maintain, and everyone has to eat. We can't always ask Albert, Fred and George to donate Galleons," Ron said as a matter of course.
