Chapter 1335: The Wandmaker's Legacy

"madman!"

Gregorovitch muttered subconsciously after opening the latest issue of the newspaper and seeing the news on the front page.

Someone died again.

Recently, every few days, Gregorovitch could see news headlines about someone being killed.

The murderer was all pointed at one person.

The famous Voldemort.

The Ministries of Magic of various countries were collectively blind and did not dare to provoke this notorious demon.

After all, even Dumbledore was killed.

After a series of massacres, Gregorovitch couldn't help but feel extremely fortunate that he had agreed to Dumbledore's request and chose to believe the young prophet's seemingly ridiculous advice.

“Life is pretty good now.”

Gregorovitch picked up the newly completed wand on the table, wiped it carefully with a clean cloth, and carefully placed it in the long box.

Although I don’t feel as free as before, I can still do what I like.

Gregorovitch knew very well why the mysterious man was looking for him, and he also knew that he would surely die if he fell into the mysterious man's hands.

Losing a little freedom was nothing, especially since he had house-elves to take care of him.

"Mr. Gregorovitch, Mr. Anderson will come to visit you at ten o'clock." The house elf reported to Gregorovitch.

"It's a rare thing that he has time to come and visit an old man like me." Gregorovitch put the box of wands into the wooden cabinet next to him, which contained the wands he made in the shelter.

Just as the wooden cabinet door was closed, a dark green flame suddenly rose from the fireplace and a figure walked out of the flame.

The young wizard patted his cloak to shake off the dust on his body, then swept his fingers towards the ashes on the ground, allowing a breeze to blow the ashes back into the fireplace.

"good afternoon."

He raised his head and greeted the old man who was looking at him with a smile.

"What a rare visitor! I thought you must have something important to tell me."

Gregorovitch gestured to Albert to sit down, and asked him directly about the purpose of his visit. It was obvious that he did not think that Albert came to visit him on a whim.

"Well, I just got some bad news."

Albert sat down opposite Gregorovitch, glanced at the newspaper on the table, and said thank you to the house-elf who brought him tea before he began to explain why he was there.

"You should have noticed that the mysterious man is frantically searching for you. Many people have suffered misfortune and lost their lives because of this." Albert took the newspaper and quickly read the headlines.

"You got hold of the wand?"

Gregorovitch didn't care about this, but couldn't help asking about another thing.

"Well, I have the wand." Albert said noncommittally, "Dumbledore gave it to me before he died."

"Can you ..."

Gregorovitch has not yet given up on unlocking the secret of the wand.

"I don't have it with me," Albert said, spreading his hands.

"You're not going to use it?"

Gregorovitch was very surprised. He had once owned that wand, so he knew very well what kind of power it possessed. That was why Gregorovitch racked his brains to crack, study and replicate the characteristics of the Elder Wand.

"I prefer my own wand." Albert shook the redwood wand and said, "It always brings me luck."

"It's just a rumor that redwood can bring good luck to those who use it. I think you know that better than anyone else."

Gregorovitch muttered.

"I like my own wand better anyway." Albert wiped his wand gently with a handkerchief.

"Okay, as long as you like it." Gregorovitch didn't hesitate and asked another question, "Who was the damn thief who stole the wand?"

"Gellert Grindelwald."

Albert took a sip of his tea and said with a smile, “Didn’t you guess it too?”

"I think so. Those who possess the Elder Wand are usually extremely vicious dark wizards. Apart from the famous Dark Lord, I think there is probably no one else." Gregorovitch said self-deprecatingly.

When Dumbledore came to visit, Gregorovitch recognized the wand at a glance and figured out who the thief was.

Dumbledore

Obviously not possible.

How did Dumbledore get the Elder Wand

Perhaps he had obtained it from that damn thief or someone else. After all, the Elder Wand changed hands at an astonishing speed, and it had been a century since it was stolen from him.

God knows how many times it changed hands during this period.

The most famous dark wizard that Dumbledore defeated was Grindelwald.

The age is also suitable.

"You must have something else to talk to me about!" Gregorovitch asked again.

"Well, I have some interest in wand making." Albert said softly.

"You are really... greedy." Gregorovitch looked at Albert again and asked curiously, "Are you planning to become a wand maker? You have already achieved so many incredible achievements."

"I'm still young and I have to find something to do, and Dumbledore is also knowledgeable." Albert explained calmly.

"If I were you, I would study a certain field in depth. Never mind, that's your own choice. Perhaps genius is something that ordinary people cannot fathom." Gregorovitch seemed to have thought of something and said self-deprecatingly, "I can give it to you, but I want to see the old wand again."

"You still don't plan to give up?" Albert raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Why give up? I have been researching and making wands for my entire life, and I have never seen a wand as powerful as the Elder Wand. You should be able to feel the power of that wand!" Gregorovitch raised his hand to interrupt Albert and continued, "I have studied the history of the Elder Wand. Its origin may be related to the story of the three brothers in The Tales of Beedle the Poetic. This wand has been accompanied by a long and bloody history, and its original source points to the Peverell brothers. I personally think that Antioch Peverell, who made this wand, is a very powerful wand maker."

"If Antioch Peverell can make a wand like that, then I can, too." Gregorovitch was very confident in his wand-making.

"I can lend you the Elder Wand temporarily, but a contract is required to guarantee the transaction, and you should be aware that even if I lend it to you, you will not be able to use it normally." Albert reminded.

"You are more cautious than I expected." Gregorovitch muttered, "Although your request is a bit harsh for an old man like me, it is not a bad thing. After all, your opponent is the Dark Lord. I hope you can kill him."

As he spoke, Gregorovitch picked up his wand and waved it gently. A wooden box flew out of the workshop and landed in front of the two of them.

Gregorovitch pushed the wooden box in front of Albert.

"I thought you would want this, the result of my life's research."

"Killing the mysterious man is the savior's job," Albert corrected.

"Damn savior, when can I see that wand?"

"Next time I'll lend you the Elder Wand for a while."

Albert opened the box and looked through Gregorovitch's notes.

"How good are your wand-making skills?" Gregorovitch inquired. "I have ready-made materials in my workshop. Would you mind showing me?"

"You won't regret it."

Albert did not intend to demonstrate to Gregorovitch, but took out a bag, took out several wands from it and placed them on the table one by one.

"This is the wand I made." He gestured to Gregorovitch.

"Snakewood."

Gregorovitch waved the wand gently, opened the top of the wand and checked it, then looked up at Albert and asked, "What kind of wand core is this?"

"The heart nerve of the basilisk."

"What nerves?"

Gregorovitch suspected he had heard wrongly.

"Basilisk."

"Damn it, you can still find that thing now? You didn't kill a basilisk!" Gregorovitch had no doubt that the guy in front of him had the ability to hunt basilisks.

"There was a basilisk in Slytherin... If you need it, I can give you some of its heart nerves," Albert said generously.

"You can bring them together next time. By the way, does the basilisk have a horn?"

"If you mean a slightly protruding part of the skull, but I don't think it's a horn." Albert shook his head, "I've used it up."

"That's one of the best wand cores."

Gregorovitch complained to Albert about wasting materials. "It is said that Slytherin's wand is made of basilisk horn and snake wood, and its power is also amazing."

"That's a pity." There was no lack of regret in Albert's words.

"This wand is very suitable for using dark magic." Gregorovitch waved it twice more, made his own judgment, and then turned his attention to other wands.

"Unicorn horn, willow wood." When he checked the wand core, he couldn't help but exclaimed: "Oh my God, White Fresh Branch, I found that you really like to make those extreme wands."

“Therapists will love it.”

"That's true, but no one except a healer would use such an extreme wand." Gregorovitch picked up the mahogany wand. "This one too. I dare say the core is definitely kelp bristles."

"Yes, this wand is very suitable for casting Transfiguration spells." Albert nodded.

"You admit that you have a good knowledge of wand making, but I dare say you are not suitable to open a wand shop. Few people will need such an extreme wand, especially for wizards who have just entered the magical world. It is simply a terrible disaster." Gregorovitch muttered as he picked up the last wand.

"What's this?"

It was an ordinary wand, but when Gregorovitch checked the core, he was shocked because he found that the core was made of some kind of metal.

"As you can see, it is a very rare metal. It is one of the legacies left to me by Mr. Flamel. It is said to be a byproduct of the manufacture of the Philosopher's Stone. It is extremely precious. There may only be one last small piece in the world. This is also the most powerful wand I have ever made."

"I've never heard of metal being used as a wand core." Gregorovitch felt that he had never seen anything like this before, but he was also very interested in it. "I've only heard that goblins can forge a very magical silver tool."

"The goblin's silver repels dust and only absorbs things that can strengthen it." Albert reminded him, and he used the silver wine cup made by the goblins to soak the unicorn's horn. Using it to hold water has a slight detoxifying effect.

"I once thought of using the goblin's silverware and that piece of metal to make a wand of my own. Unfortunately, the goblin's silver forging technology has been lost." Albert did have a similar idea. He brought this wand to Gregorovitch in the hope of using the other party to make use of this piece of metal.

"Damn it! Since when did wand makers become full-time metal craftsmen?" Gregorovitch waved the wand to feel its power. It was indeed as Albert said. This was a very powerful wand. "I want to study this thing. Do you mind leaving it with me?"

"Oh, no problem." Albert nodded. "Take it and study it. Just don't lose it."

"Remember to bring the old wand next time, and if possible, get me some goblin iron." Gregorovitch began to drive people away.
