Chapter 1370: Three seconds of silence

"Is the Wizarding War finally coming to an end?"

Albert paused with his hands, which were playfully moving on the fair skin, and asked softly, "Why do you say that?"

"If this wizarding war was not about to end, you probably wouldn't choose to inflict heavy damage on those Death Eaters at this time." Yin Zebel had such a premonition after hearing Albert casually talking about several major events that happened in the British wizarding world.

Yin Zebel has always been a smart woman, more perceptive than most wizards in many things. Moreover, she not only knows every inch of Albert's skin, but also understands his style of doing things.

"Not so fast. It will probably take another year or so. Once the Horcrux issue is resolved, the war will be almost over."

"That's pretty quick too."

Yin Zebel took Albert's hand and placed it gently on his thigh.

"Yes, it will be soon." Albert murmured, "When the war is over, we can go back to live the life we want."

"Katrina should be very happy. She has never liked staying here... Honestly, I'm really surprised that you would mind." Yin Zebel stared at Albert's handsome face and reminded him with a smile, "Don't let the things you got slip away from your hands."

"I'm just... a little overwhelmed."

Albert didn't want to discuss this embarrassing issue, so he stiffly changed the subject, "I think Britain will be in turmoil again recently, and I don't know how long they will be crazy this time."

"My dear, you are so cute."

Yin Zebel held Albert's face and kissed him: "Tonight is still a long night, let's go to bed later, there is nothing to do tomorrow anyway!"

"I really don't mind, you know." Albert emphasized again.

"But I do mind. Mom is an example. She actually hopes that someone will inherit the McDowell name. This is one of the reasons why she agreed." Yin Zebeier said with a smile, "She is very satisfied with you."

"Because I'm good enough." Albert muttered.

"Of course, that's one of the reasons." Yin Zebeier turned over and rode on Albert, leaned down and put his head close to Albert's ear, and said in a voice with residual warmth, "But, men always need to be satisfied, especially when there are beautiful girls around them. I have to feed you first."

"You should have confidence in me." Albert raised his eyebrows.

"Of course I have confidence in you, but I don't have confidence in others." A trace of gloom flashed across Yin Zebel's eyes. She recently received some bad news.

"I always feel like you are hiding something from me." Albert said suspiciously.

"I'm not hiding it from you."

Yin Zebel covered Albert's mouth again and prepared to continue discussing other things with him.

The next day, the young couple got up early for morning exercises as usual.

After finishing breakfast, Albert prepared to go to the Defense Association headquarters.

Katrina stared at the disappearing figure, then looked back at the radiant Yin Zebel, and muttered: "The time converter is not for you to use like this."

"This war will most likely end within the next year, and then you can do whatever you want." Yin Zebel put Alice, who had just been fed, back into the stroller.

"We have had similar conversations countless times." Katrina reminded with a raised eyebrow.

"We did talk a lot."

Yin Zebel didn't care and told his sister about the big event that Albert mentioned last night.

“Isn’t this a good thing?”

Katrina also believed that the Death Eaters were in such a miserable state because of Albert.

"That may not be the case for you," Yin Zebel reminded.

"I'm really surprised." Katrina raised her eyebrows and asked, "This is not like your style. What happened?"

After all, no one doesn't like to eat alone, and Yin Zebeier is no exception.

"I recently discovered a big, unpleasant secret." Yin Zebeier's expression was quite complicated.

Albert didn't know what the big secret that Yin Zebel was talking about was. As soon as he arrived at the Defense Association headquarters, Sana came to him with trouble.

"So, those wizards who were left in another shelter are very dissatisfied with their situation?" Albert was not surprised. Human beings are very complex creatures, especially when they know that they are being treated specially.

"Yes, they are very... ungrateful." Shannah briefly considered her words.

"This means they no longer need care." Albert put down his quill, looked up and said to Shanna, "Let those who are staying in the shelter come back. I think the British wizarding world will not be safe in the coming period. There is no need to stay outside any longer."

“Will they die?”

Shanna understood what Albert meant and left them to fend for themselves.

After all, they are not babysitters, and many times they need to face the cruel reality themselves.

This often results in the deaths of a group of people, because the Death Eaters are not easy to deal with and will not give them a chance to regret.

"So, we just give up on them?"

Neville's eyes were full of confusion and puzzlement as he watched the people who had previously agreed to join the Defense Association leave the shelter.

"We are not their babysitters," Kenneth said coldly. "It is our greatest kindness to remind them. Don't expect yourself to convince others, especially when facing the cruel reality."

Having said that, he asked Hannah to call the other wizards who had received asylum to the window to watch the fate of those people.

“Why don’t you save them?”

Looking at the unlucky guys who were knocked down and dragged away by Death Eaters who appeared out of nowhere just as they walked out of the door, the stunned wizards finally couldn't help but question.

"I have already warned them, but they are determined to die. How do you want me to stop them?" Kenneth said these infuriating words expressionlessly, causing the wizards around him to stare at him in annoyance.

"You shouldn't be angry with me, but with the enemy, because only cowards will vent their anger on their own people." Kenneth glanced coldly at the thirty or so people present and reminded them, "You are all adults and have your own judgment. We can only give you some suggestions. It is up to you whether to listen to them or not. If your life is in danger because of your own choices, don't expect anyone to risk saving you. If you die, you deserve it. Just like those people just now, don't accuse us of being cold-hearted. Think carefully about my warning just now. They were so anxious that they wanted to die. What can I do?"

"Will they really die? Shouldn't they be re-..."

"The You-Know-Who and the Death Eaters have been enraged. I estimate that they will be tortured and interrogated inhumanely before they die."

"Can't you just say less?" Hannah looked at the pale-faced adult wizards and comforted them like a child, "This shelter is very safe. It has always been protected by the Fidelius Charm. Death Eaters can't get in."

"They should face reality. This is a war, not a game. I think more people will not listen to the advice and die more miserably on the other side." Kenneth glanced at Hannah and reminded her, "Also, you are the one who hasn't graduated yet."

After saying that, he turned around and left.

The more you talk, the less they want to listen. Only when you ignore them will they try to find the answer themselves and accept the reality.

This is what Albert always calls a masochist.

Sometimes Kenneth really felt that Albert saw through people very clearly.

"Have a good rest and get your body back on track." Hannah soothed him casually, "At least there are no Dementors here, and you won't starve."

Everyone looked at each other and suddenly became very confused.

In fact, as Kenneth expected, a brutal massacre was taking place outside another shelter.

After the members of the Defense Association received the news from the headquarters, they gave the wizards who were still making trouble a final reminder and advice as usual, and then evacuated directly with the help of the house-elves.

Some wizards who refused to listen were attacked by Death Eaters as soon as they left this terrible shelter.

Instead of taking the people back to Azkaban, the Death Eaters used the Cruciatus Curse to torture them to death in front of the survivors of the asylum, trying to lure their prey into the trap with this brutal method.

This series of tragedies eventually turned into a broadcast of less than five minutes in the Wizard Lookout the next day. Perhaps only the parties involved could truly understand the cruelty described in Lee Jordan's brief words.

"... Unfortunately, yesterday, 28 wizards ignored the advice and insisted on leaving the shelter. Unfortunately, they were ambushed by the Dark Eater Wizards and died on the spot. Let us observe a three-second silence for the dead..."
