Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 151: A friendly reminder

The next day, Fred and George's door key needles had completely subsided. They left the school hospital early in the morning and met their roommates who were having dinner in the auditorium.

"What is this?" George asked curiously, looking at the owl that flew away and the package on Albert's desk.

"Dog food." Albert said without looking up, "I bought it for Yaya the night before last. Thanks to him."

"Oh, Fang is really helpful," George agreed.

He actually didn't know what a big help Yaya had done, but Albert said so and even bought dog food for it, so it must have been a big help.

"We're going to Hagrid's place later, are you guys going?" Albert asked casually.

"No, we plan to go to the library. We still have a lot of homework for the holidays." Fred nudged George with his elbow, and the latter came back to his senses and quickly agreed, "We won't go."

Albert asked casually, because he knew that Fred and George didn't dare to go see Hagrid. If they went, they would probably be scolded by Hagrid for a long time.

Albert went to Hagrid's hut with the dog food he bought from the Magical Creatures Shop. Fang had fully recovered and was playing around Albert. He liked the dog food Albert bought very much.

"Last time, it was all thanks to Fang!" Albert rubbed Fang's dog head and said to Hagrid who was boiling water.

"You are so brave. You actually dare to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night." Hagrid took the copper kettle from the fireplace to pour water into the teapot, then glared at Albert with dissatisfaction with his hands on his hips.

Hagrid was blaming Albert for his recklessness.

"Didn't you say that as long as we take Fang with us, the creatures in the forest won't harm us?" Albert easily blocked Hagrid's words.

"Did I say anything like that?" Hagrid asked, stuttering a little.

"Yes, otherwise how can I dare to take the risk?"

"Well, just take it as I said." Hagrid was a little depressed. While pouring tea, he was thinking about when he said this.

"Although it's not like what you said, Yaya still helped a lot. He's just a little timid." Albert took a sip of amber tea and threw a piece of food that looked like a bone to Yaya.

This is one of the favorite treats of hounds.

"Professor Brod said... you killed a lot of giant eight-eyed spiders in the Forbidden Forest." Speaking of this, Hagrid was a little confused.

"A lot. Those big spiders are very dangerous." Albert glanced at Hagrid and said to himself, "In fact, I'm curious why there are monsters like that in the Forbidden Forest. I've looked up their information. These monsters, called Acromantulas, live deep in the rainforests of southeastern Asia. Someone must have released them into the Forbidden Forest."

Hagrid's expression suddenly became a little embarrassed, because he was the one who released the spiders in the Forbidden Forest.

"Well, I also met the legendary centaurs. They are very unfriendly to wizards." Albert frowned slightly as he recalled his first encounter with the centaurs. He continued, "We almost got into a fight. I was considering whether to knock them down."

"That's a pretty stupid idea," Hagrid corrected, stammering, "Luckily, you didn't do that. Hogwarts has always had a good relationship with the centaurs."

"Not bad?" Albert shook his head noncommittally. "Perhaps, Headmaster Dumbledore can easily intimidate most centaurs. It is said that he is the most powerful wizard in the wizarding world."

"Dumbledore is of course the most powerful wizard." Hagrid agreed with Albert's point of view.

"I think the centaurs should know your hounds. They thought I shouldn't enter the woods. A brown-black centaur was looking for trouble with me at first. Maybe you knew him, but it is undeniable that it was not a friendly meeting." Albert's first impression of the centaurs was really bad.

"That's how centaurs are always, don't mind it," Hagrid said comfortingly.

"Well, I really don't care." Albert said seriously, "Since I dare to go deep into the forbidden forest by myself, I am prepared to die in it. If the centaurs dare to shoot arrows at me, I will knock them out and let them enjoy what it feels like to be hung on a tree."

Albert said these words in a malicious tone, and even Hagrid could see that Albert had a bad first impression of the centaurs.

"Don't be like that, they mean no harm, the centaurs won't harm Hogwarts students." Hagrid said. He didn't want Albert to have a conflict with the centaurs.

"I mean no harm to you. By the way, next time you meet a centaur, thank the brown-red centaur for me. I think its name is Ronan. Although the centaur did not guide us out of the Forbidden Forest in the end, please thank it for me."

"But I don't think the centaurs will like my gift." Albert added, "So, forget about the thank-you gift."

"I will." Hagrid poured another cup of amber tea for Albert, took a sip, and earnestly warned: "Don't go into the Forbidden Forest by yourself again. You're lucky this time, but not every time."

"Do you really think I'm willing to risk entering the Forbidden Forest?" Albert couldn't help rolling his eyes at Hagrid. "If you were at home, I would definitely ask you to go into the forest with me. By the way, next time you go into the forest, be careful and don't get dragged away by giant spiders. Even you can't face a group of giant spiders."

Although he said this, Albert was actually just teasing Hagrid to prevent him from lecturing him about his entry into the woods again.

Hagrid's expression was indeed a little...conflicted.

"Actually, those eight-eyed giant spiders are not as dangerous as you think!" Hagrid hesitated for a moment and finally spoke.

"It's not... as dangerous as imagined." Albert repeated word by word.

"Hagrid, I think you are joking. If the Acromantula was safe, it would not have been classified." Albert stared at Hagrid. After a moment of silence, he suddenly said, "If I had arrived later, you would probably have had a hard time finding the bodies of Fred and George in the Forbidden Forest."

Hagrid remained even more silent, because what Albert said was probably true.

"Those creatures are related to you, right? Don't deny it." Albert sighed softly, "From what you just said, I can be sure of this. The eight-eyed giant spiders should not live in the Forbidden Forest. Professor Broad once joked that someone might be raising eight-eyed giant spiders, but I think that was just a joke."

"Hagrid, I still need to remind you that maybe the Acromantula won't eat you, but they certainly won't mind eating your friends." Albert looked at the silent Hagrid and continued, "I don't mean to blame you. I'm just reminding you that just because there is no danger to you, it doesn't mean there is no danger to others."

Hagrid didn't say anything, but his expression was very unnatural, and he was obviously not willing to listen to these words.

"You have the blood of giants, right? Don't deny it." Albert raised his hand to interrupt Hagrid and lowered his voice, "The blood of giants makes you naturally fearless of those dangerous magical creatures, but those monsters can kill us with just one bite."

"One more thing, don't admit it, and don't mention that you have giant blood. I never mind speculating on others with the greatest malice. If someone uses this to attack you, it will bring you unimaginable trouble. Wizards fear giants, just like they fear You-Know-Who."

Albert quickly left Hagrid's hut and completed a task related to Hagrid.
