Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 169: There is something weird

After entering the train, Albert walked along the corridor, looking for an empty carriage. Along the way, he did not see his roommate at Hogwarts.

"Maybe he hasn't arrived yet." Albert thought to himself and prepared to find an empty carriage.

Just as he opened the door and was about to enter the carriage, he heard someone calling his name next to him. Albert looked up and saw Li Jordan waving at him.

"Albert, this way." Li Jordan walked over here and greeted Albert with a smile, "How was your summer vacation?"

"It's fine. My family and I are going on vacation to the French beach." Albert closed the door of the carriage again, pulled the luggage and went to his carriage with Lee Jordan.

"Who was that guy who was talking to you just now?" Lee Jordan asked curiously as he opened the car door. He obviously saw the confrontation between Albert and Hertok through the window.

"That man seems to be called Hertog Dagworth." Albert briefly talked about his experience in France and the warning letter he received from the Ministry of Magic after returning to the country.

"Another mistake by the Ministry of Magic?"

Lee Jordan expressed sympathy for Albert's situation and expressed worry and annoyance towards the unreliable Trace of the Ministry of Magic. Their family also lived in a Muggle community, and God knew when he would be inexplicably blamed.

"The Ministry of Magic is like this. I never expect it to be reliable." Albert's tone was full of contempt for the Ministry of Magic as he pushed his luggage into the carriage.

Li Jordan was ready to lend a hand and help Albert put the luggage on the luggage rack.

"No need, I can do it myself!" Albert took out his wand and waved it at his luggage. All the luggage floated up and was placed on the luggage rack above under his command.

"Great." Li Jordan gave a thumbs up and continued, "Hutto... is he looking for something from you?"

"Well, he came to me to ask for the membership card I found." Albert said with a strange expression, "But he doesn't seem to be planning to help me solve the problem."

"That guy is really shameless." Li Qiaodan was very angry, "You shouldn't have given him the thing, right?"

"No, I simply refused." Albert shook his head. "I just told him to go to the Ministry of Magic to help me solve this matter, and then I will return the things to him."

"Did he agree?"

"No, I want to use magic to get it back." Albert couldn't help but sneered, "Unfortunately, that thing is not with me for the time being."

"What a... bastard, irresponsible bastard." Li Jordan looked down on Hertok's behavior and asked Albert, "What are you going to do?"

"I think that Dagworth will help me solve this matter." Albert shook his wand confidently and changed the subject: "It was a big mistake not to bring my wand with me to France, so I had the bad luck to encounter such a bad thing."

Li Jordan forced a smile. He really couldn't understand Albert's way of thinking. However, seeing that he was confident that he could solve the problem, he was also happy for Albert.

For the rest of the time, the two chatted about what happened during the summer vacation.

As the train departure time approached, the smoke-filled platform became even more lively, and students could be seen everywhere dragging their heavy luggage to say goodbye to their families.

At about a quarter to ten, Fred, George and his family finally appeared on the platform.

Albert and Lee Jordan looked through the window of the carriage and saw the two men saying their final goodbyes to their families.

"I'll go find them."

After Li Jordan threw a multi-flavored bean into his mouth, he opened the door of the carriage and walked out, ready to lead the two men so that they wouldn't have to spend time looking for their location.

After a while, footsteps approached, and Albert in the carriage vaguely heard Li Jordan's exclamation.

"Wow! You all bought broomsticks."

"It's the 5th of the Sweeping Seven." Fred grinned happily. "Charlie finally persuaded Mom to buy us a broomstick."

"In fact, we would rather sweep across Seven Stars No. 6. Unfortunately, the new broom is quite expensive..." George was a little confused.

Buying two broomsticks at one time was still a lot for the Weasley family.

Overall, George and Fred were very happy to get their own broomsticks.

Albert opened the door and walked out, looking at the twins pushing their luggage towards them and said, "Congratulations."

"Albert, what kind of broom did you buy?" Fred asked curiously. He thought Albert would buy the best flying broom.

"I didn't buy a broomstick." Albert's answer surprised everyone.

"Didn't buy it?" Fred was stunned for a moment and repeated in disbelief.

"Yes, I didn't buy it." Albert shrugged.

"What about the competition?"

"It's not certain that I will be selected for the Gryffindor team. Besides, as you know, I'm very busy in college and may not have time to play."

Not only Fred and George, but even Lee Jordan opened his eyes wide and opened his mouth. Everyone wants to squeeze into the Gryffindor team, but you can join the team but you don't want to join.

Albert sighed and reminded, "The most important thing is, if we all join the team, we will be hated. Once we lose the game, Charlie will immediately become the target of everyone's blame. I have mentioned this to you before."

All three were silent.

Although he was reluctant to admit it, Albert's considerations were not unreasonable.

"Okay, don't crowd here." Albert signaled them not to block the passage and prevent others from passing.

"Charlie will definitely be disappointed." George muttered, dropped his luggage and walked away, probably to find Charlie.

"Sorry, wait a moment." Albert said to the girl, waved his wand, and made Fred and George's luggage fly into the carriage.

"Your magic is getting better and better." Fred forced a smile. "This saves us the trouble of carrying the luggage."

Soon after they entered the carriage, Charlie came hurriedly. He sat next to George and asked, "Don't you want to join the team?"

"I'm not sure if I have enough time to practice Quidditch." Albert explained casually, "As you know, I have joined Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club. By the way, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this time may also be someone I know..."

"Who? Who is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this time?"

"Rowena Smith," Albert said, "is a very powerful wizard. I have been keeping in touch with him through letters throughout the summer vacation. If possible, I would like to take this opportunity to learn something from him."

Charlie was silent for a long time. He knew that this was an excuse Albert made for him, but he still said, "If the team can't find a suitable player, I hope you can join then."

"Okay, I'll try my best." Albert hesitated and nodded in agreement.

"How about your broom problem, though?" Charlie frowned slightly.

"Don't worry, I have Galleons, and if I really need it, I will spend the money to order a broom from the Quidditch boutique," Albert comforted.

But why does this sentence sound so nouveau riche

"Well, that's good." Charlie sighed and suggested: "You can consider the Sweep Seven Stars series. The price is very affordable. The current mainstream of this series is Sweep No. 6, which is faster than No. 5 and suitable for ball seekers."

Charlie left after saying this, looking a little depressed.

George had already told him what Albert had said.

The other party automatically withdrew because I didn't want to put too much pressure on him.

What a nice person!

"Charlie is very ambitious. He hopes to win a Quidditch trophy." George said to Albert while looking at the closed carriage door. "As long as he can win, no one dares to say anything."

"There are several new players joining the team this time. The chances of winning..." Albert hadn't finished his words when Fred rushed over and covered his mouth.

"Shut up, you should say we will definitely win." George said sternly. He was a little afraid of Albert's broken mouth.

In order to prevent Albert from saying anything ominous, Fred changed the subject and said, "By the way, what is the rubber duck you sent over the summer for?"

"Oh, that's a small toy used for playing while taking a bath." Albert explained with a smile, "Muggles usually put it in the water of the bathtub."

Fred and George looked at each other in astonishment when they heard this. They decided not to tell their father about this.

"What little yellow duck?" Li Qiaodan asked curiously.

"Albert gave us a gift, saying it was a toy he bought abroad," Fred explained.

"Ahem." George coughed hard and stiffly changed the subject, "By the way, have you solved that problem?"

"No, the Ministry of Magic's Abuse of Magic Office didn't reply to my letter." Albert changed the subject cooperatively. "I guess they threw the letter directly into the trash after receiving it."

"That shouldn't be the case?" Fred and George said in unison.

"Why do you think they threw your letter into the trash?" Li Jordan felt that Albert would not speak without a purpose. He must have some reason or evidence to say so.

Albert mentioned that Hector planned to give him 20 Galleons as a thank you gift.

"You didn't tell me this just now." Li Jordan couldn't help but complain.

"I just briefly mentioned it, and I have to say it again anyway."

"You actually refused?" Fred and George were a little envious of Albert's luck. "That's twenty Galleons!"

"Why haven't you thought about it?" Albert looked at Fred and George, who were still worried about the 20 Galleons, speechlessly, and couldn't help but remind them, "Why is the other party willing to spend 20 Galleons but not willing to go to the Ministry of Magic to help me get that thing done?"

"I think what Albert said is right. This matter actually doesn't require much effort, and the other party is willing to take out 20 Galleons to settle the matter. It's a bit strange no matter how you look at it." Li Jordan thought about Albert's words and felt that they made sense. "Twenty Galleons is not a lot, but it is definitely not a small amount!"
