Chapter 252: My son is going to an academic gathering?

Dear Mr. Anderson:

When I received your letter, I was very surprised, but also very proud of you. It is rare for a student at your age to be able to summon a physical patronus. Regarding your concerns about Animagus in the letter, I think they are unnecessary for the time being.

Although the animal an Animagus transforms into always seems to be the same as the Patronus they cast, that doesn't mean they are necessarily the same. As far as I know, there are currently no known Animagus that can change the animal they transform into when their Patronus changes. Of course, this may be related to the fact that Animagus with the ability to transform and cast a Patronus are extremely rare.

If you ever decide to learn Animagus, please don't practice it on your own. I can help you with that.

Have a happy Christmas holiday!

Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall.

After reading Professor McGonagall's letter, Albert's mood did not improve. Professor McGonagall's meaning was very clear. She thought it was too early for Albert to consider Animagus. Moreover, Professor McGonagall was not very clear about this matter. After all, there were too few examples that could be used as research.

"Maybe, I can ask Dumbledore." Albert just took out a new piece of parchment, but after thinking about it, he gave up the idea for the time being.

Maybe he was too anxious. No matter what the result was, it would not change because of his will, unless the panel could provide him with superb help.

Putting these thoughts aside, Albert stretched himself and returned to the living room. Tom was taking a nap on the sofa. When no one was at home, he always liked to lie on the sofa in a big letter shape. When Albert sat down next to him, the lazy cat's ears finally twitched, and he came over, rubbed Albert's arm with his head, and then climbed onto his knees. This guy is really heavy.

"You should lose weight. You're so fat that you can't even catch a mouse." Albert said as he scratched Tom's ears and combed his hair with a comb. The guy squinted his eyes as he enjoyed it.

"You say... should I take you to Hogwarts School? Then you will have to rely on catching mice to fill your stomach." Albert said jokingly. However, there are many people who keep cats in the school. Maybe you can find a cat that you like.

"Meow!" Tom seemed to sense Albert's deep malice and jumped off his knees. His short and stubby legs swung and he quickly hid behind someone's feet.

"Are you going to take Tom to school?" Nia asked curiously, holding the cat in her arms.

"No, I just want to scare Tom. He's gained weight recently." At this moment, there was a sound of something hitting the glass outside the door. Nia walked over and opened the door. She found a brown owl flying in and throwing a letter in front of Albert.

"You have so many letters!" Nia looked at Albert in surprise. She had received at least six letters since he came back from Christmas vacation. Moreover, each letter was not from the same person, and the sealing wax badges on the back were different.

"You're busier than me!" Herb put a cup of hot cocoa in front of Albert and asked, "Who sent it this time?"

"Professor Broad, the professor who worked at Hogwarts last semester." Albert took a sip of hot cocoa, opened the envelope, glanced at the letter inside, knew what was going on, and handed the letter to Herbert.

"Professor Broad invites you to a party?" After reading the letter, Herber felt a little confused. A professor invited his son to attend a party about alchemy. What on earth was going on? Herber really didn't understand.

"Like inviting a junior high school student to attend a university professor's academic seminar?"

Moreover, the other party arranged the itinerary very sincerely, letting Albert meet at the Leaky Cauldron first, and then invite him to visit his manor, and then go to the alchemy party together, and finally, the professor will send him back to Hogwarts before the school starts. There is no need to worry about Albert's safety.

"Well... it's just an academic gathering anyway." Albert thought for a moment and replied.

"Academic gathering?" Herber's face became even more strange. He sighed softly and said nothing more. "I'll take you there when the time comes."

"What are you talking about? Please don't leave me alone." Nia pouted a little angrily. Daisy was also very curious about what they were talking about, but after listening to Herb's explanation, she was a little dazed.

"You want to go out and play by yourself again!" Nia was a little unhappy. Albert finally came home, but he had to go out again after just a few days. There was no one to chat with her, tell stories, or watch TV.

"I won't stay long. I'll be back in two days." Albert promised.

"Oh, okay, I know you're a busy man." Nia touched Tom's belly and said to herself, "Tom is still the best."

"Meow!" Tom rubbed Nia's hand, and the latter took out some dried fish from somewhere and gave it to Tom.

Albert was speechless. No wonder the cat was so fat.

On the morning of January 10th, Albert appeared in the Leaky Cauldron. He had agreed to meet Professor Broad at twelve o'clock. Just as he was about to have dinner at Old Tom's, Professor Broad, wearing a cloak, appeared in the bar without warning.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Broad, would you like a drink?" Old Tom greeted Professor Broad with a smile.

"Oh, no thanks. I'm here to pick you up. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long!" Professor Broad greeted Albert. "Come on, I'll take you somewhere."

"Apparation?" Albert asked curiously.

"Yes, that place is not connected to Floo powder, so this is the only method." Professor Broad stretched out his left hand, and when Albert raised his hand to take it, the two disappeared into the backyard of the Leaky Cauldron together.

They appeared outside a villa with a nice environment. If you must say it, it could also be considered a small manor, but it seemed that no one lived here.

"This will be the venue for this alchemy gathering. We will stay here for the next two days." Professor Brod winked at Albert and said, "There are many interesting books in it. I think you might be interested."

"It seems like no one has lived here for a long time." Albert raised his eyebrows.

"You're right, but it will soon have a new owner." Professor Brod didn't take it too seriously and said with a smile, "The house elves have been taking good care of it, so it's always been very clean and anyone can live here at will."

The two passed through a layer of protective magic that was like fog and entered the manor. Albert then discovered that this place had always been protected by magic.

As Albert entered the room, a house-elf bowed to them and led them into the hall.

"Noel, we will stay here for a few days. Help Mr. Anderson arrange a room. It's the one next to the study." Professor Broad instructed the house-elf, who secretly glanced at Albert, then bowed slightly and left.
