Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 263: Rumors

Views:

After a long vacation, there would always be a sudden surge of students at Hogwarts who needed to catch up on their homework, and the Christmas vacation was no exception.

In the few days after returning to school, busy students almost filled up half of the library.

Albert's three roommates were also among the crowd, busy with their numerous homework assignments.

"Why can't they just finish their homework?"

This was not the first time that Shanna had this doubt. There was obviously plenty of time during the Christmas holidays, so why did she have to squeeze in now to start copying homework

When leaving the library with Albert, Shanna finally couldn't help muttering about this matter. He really couldn't understand the thinking mode of this group of people.

"Most people like to be lazy. It's a laziness disease and it's hard to cure." Albert said sarcastically.

“Of course, they’re not very efficient at doing their homework either.”

"I can't understand it." Shanna couldn't help but shake her head.

"It's an education problem." Albert smiled without saying anything. He certainly wouldn't be stupid enough to say that wizards were far inferior to Muggles in education, otherwise there would probably be a group of pure-blood wizards who would confront him.

After all, Hogwarts is the best magic school in the UK, even though it is the only one in the country.

However, in Albert's eyes, wizards who have not received systematic education will really have problems in learning.

The quality of Fred, George and Lee Jordan's papers is not very high. They always squeeze everything together, which makes the reading experience really bad.

Albert sometimes wondered if professors just glanced at the papers before grading them.

Sometimes there's really not much difference between a P (fail) and a D (terrible).

"Education?" Shanna also realized what Albert was talking about, so she changed the subject. "By the way, I'm trying to transform the boots into a rabbit, but I don't know why I can't succeed."

"You can start with smaller animals. The bigger the object, the harder it will be to succeed." Albert thought for a moment and suggested, "You can try to turn a teapot into a turtle, or a slipper into a mouse."

"It seems that it will be difficult to succeed immediately." Shanna muttered.

She had naturally thought about Albert's suggestion, but it took too much time to do it step by step. Sana wanted to find a faster and more convenient way to learn.

"Spending a lot of time practicing magic, practicing is not just about training magic, it's also about training your own magical power." Albert explained helplessly. He himself had actually gone through this process, but later upgraded his wizard bloodline and his own magical power was greatly enhanced.

"Oh." Shanna said absentmindedly.

Passing by the corridor, Albert saw a group of girls gathered together and whispering, but he didn't know what they were talking about.

Moreover, a senior girl actually bumped her head against the wall when turning a corner.

"Are you okay?" Albert couldn't help but raise his eyebrows and asked the woman, while Sana next to him tried hard not to laugh out loud.

"No... I'm fine, thank you." The other party left quickly and reunited with several companions. I wonder what they were talking about

"You are really charming," Shanna couldn't help but tease.

"What's going on?" Albert looked at Shanna in confusion, waiting for her to explain it to him.

"Everyone is saying that you have seduced the most beautiful girl in Ravenclaw." Shanna said with a strange expression.

"The most beautiful girl in Ravenclaw?" Albert asked curiously, "Who is it?"

"You didn't know?" Sana covered her mouth and laughed, and asked tentatively, "It's Isobel McDougal. I heard that you have a good relationship."

"She is." Albert nodded, "Isobel is a pretty girl."

"She is very famous in school, and I remember you two had a good relationship." Shanna continued to probe.

"It's okay, just an ordinary friend." Albert suddenly asked, "Which boring guy is spreading such unreliable rumors again?"

"I don't know." Sana shook her head. Things turned out to be pretty much as she had expected.

"But what does this have to do with that guy's reaction just now?" Albert was puzzled.

"Because you're a celebrity in school." Sana couldn't help but shake her head. "Two celebrities together will become a hot topic for everyone."

"Okay." Albert coughed and ignored the other party's words, forcing the topic back to the right track, "I suggest you buy a copy of "Intermediate Transfiguration" in advance."

"Don't change the subject." Sana asked curiously, "Are you really in love with Isobel? I thought you..."

"Me what?" Albert looked at Shanna helplessly.

"I thought you liked Katrina."

Albert was a little stunned. What the hell was going on

Wait... He suddenly felt that he might have guessed who was spreading rumors about him.

"Are those bastards Fred and his gang spreading rumors about me?" Albert suddenly said.

"I don't know." Shanna shook her head to indicate that she knew nothing.

"Huh, apart from those guys, who else would be so boring?" Albert was thinking about how to teach Fred and the other two a lesson.

"Well, it came from the Ravenclaw side."

Sana said helplessly, "Isobel has a small pendant on her body, it's a very delicate unicorn, Fred said that you spent a lot of time carving the wood sculpture, and then it became like this."

"Those people are so bored!" Albert was speechless. "Well, don't pay attention to those things. If I were you, I would pay attention to Transfiguration."

"I suggest you buy a copy of Intermediate Transfiguration in advance." Albert brought the topic back to the topic again. "If you think you can do it, I suggest you don't be too restrained by what you learn in class. That will limit your learning speed and magic level. Textbooks can only teach us the basics."

"You really don't care at all?" Sana couldn't help but sigh.

"You should take the initiative to learn magic instead of passively accepting it." Albert said calmly, "Also, anyone who believes rumors without thinking is an idiot in my eyes."

"As long as your Transfiguration skills are better than most students of the same grade, the chances of being invited by Professor McGonagall to join the Transfiguration Club are quite high." Albert stopped at the corner, looking at the girls who were looking over here curiously, feeling quite helpless.

"Really?" Shanna was a little excited. She had heard about the Transfiguration Club a long time ago. It was said that students who were invited to join the club needed to have a high level of Transfiguration skills.
