Chapter 285: A secret that's not really a secret

Views:

After lunch, Albert took some time to go to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office and consult Professor Smith about the problems he encountered when practicing the Traceless Stretching Charm. The other party smiled and explained to him the reasons for the failure of the spell.

However, in Albert's eyes, the smile on Professor Smith's face and the explanations on his lips seemed hypocritical.

Albert didn't take this too seriously. After Professor Smith's explanation, he successfully enlarged the capacity of the teacup, then stood up and said goodbye, leaving Katrina stunned.

"Don't compare yourself with Albert. He is more talented than your sister." Professor Smith always felt that something was wrong, but he still spoke to comfort Katrina.

If you don’t know how to comfort others, don’t comfort them!

Katrina felt even more depressed. She found that she had been left far behind by Albert.

There is no way. It is really puzzling to meet a genius who is both very hardworking and very talented.

In fact, Katrina once asked Isobel about Albert, and she replied: Albert is Albert, you are you, and I am me, there is no need to compare.

Honestly, Katrina had always admired Isobel's steady aura. She always looked calm, as if nothing could make her panic.

After being depressed for a while, Katrina continued to bury herself in the spell book. Professor Smith did have a good talent for teaching, and she could feel that she had made significant progress in spells.

After leaving the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office, Albert went directly to the library on the fifth floor. Standing at the door and looking inside, he easily found his roommates who were doing their homework. They had reserved a seat for him.

After saying hello to everyone, Albert began to write the letters to be sent today, including those from home, the tailor shop in Diagon Alley, and the French wizard Adolf.

By the way, the relationship between this wizard from France and Albert is still at the stage of mutual communication. The other party did not pass on the knowledge of the two-sided mirror to Albert as he said at the last gathering.

Albert was not surprised at all.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Even if a pie falls, it may be a discus that can kill you, or a rock pancake that can crack your teeth.

In fact, Albert really didn't care. As for old friends, he would make friends if he could, and if he couldn't, that was fine. He wouldn't lose anything. He usually used a respectful and sincere tone to quietly wool these old friends.

In the letter to Adolf, Albert described the troubles he encountered in using the Conversion Spell, and asked the other party how to use the advanced Conversion Spell and apply it to the magic mirror.

Adolf must know the advanced conversion spell, otherwise how could he make a two-sided mirror

That's right, Albert hopes to learn a more advanced conversion spell from Adolf. The professors at Hogwarts will not teach this kind of more advanced spell, and there are very few people who can truly master these advanced magic skills.

However, ever since he became aware of advanced magic, Albert felt a bit frustrated because there were no skills like the Advanced Patronus Charm on his skill panel, just like after he mastered more advanced uses of the Glowing Charm, the Advanced Glowing Charm did not appear on his skill panel.

In fact, what Aberforth taught him was still within the skill range of the Patronus Charm.

Of course, it is not ruled out that the advanced Patronus Spell requires prerequisite skills. For example, the Patronus Spell skill needs to be at a certain level before skills like the advanced Patronus Spell appear.

Albert himself did not fully understand the panel tasks and skills.

"This is the competition schedule for Wizard Cards. I've checked and the competition time has been staggered with other activities." Lee Jordan handed a piece of parchment to Albert as he put the letter into the envelope.

"Well, thank you for your hard work!"

Albert glanced at the game time and process on the parchment, picked up his quill, made a few changes on the parchment, and then put it away.

It’s good to have someone to help!

"If you knew how hard I work, just lend me the paper on the Fire Condensation Spell," Lee Jordan said unhappily.

"Well, I haven't done it yet." Albert continued to write a letter to the tailor shop. "Fred, have you finished the paper on the Fire Condensation Spell?"

"We're still working on it." George said with a smile, "If Lee Jordan wants to borrow it, we don't mind lending it to him after we're done."

"Forget it then." Lee Jordan shook his head. "Sanna, are you done yet?"

"I have Sana's share." Angelina said without looking up.

"What are you doing?" Sana looked at Albert and asked curiously. She had noticed that Albert had been very busy and didn't know what he was writing.

"Write a letter and see you later."

Albert used the sticking spell to seal the envelope, took the three written letters, and stood up to go to the Owl Shed.

At this time, there were not many people in Hogwarts Castle, and all students above the third grade had gone to Hogsmeade.

As soon as he came out of the secret passage, he was spotted by Filch.

"What are you doing here?" The administrator stared at Albert gloomily, trying to see through him completely.

"I'm going to the Owl Shed to mail a letter." Albert took out three letters from the pocket of his robe and waved them in front of Filch to show that he was not lying.

"Then go ahead." Filch walked away.

"What happened to him?" Albert asked Nearly Headless Nick who was passing by.

"Peeves threw a few large dung balls around the corner of the second floor," Nick reminded kindly. "Filch took a long time to clean them up, and he's mad now."

Nick looked at Filch's departing back and continued, "Filch seems to suspect that there are students in Hogwarts who provide Peeves with dung eggs."

Albert knew that the Weasley twins bought a lot of dung eggs and stink bombs from Zonko's joke shop.

This is such a sad story!

It was ten minutes later when they arrived at the Owl Shed in the West Tower. Albert asked Sheila to deliver the letter home, then to the tailor shop in Diagon Alley, and finally he picked a stronger owl and asked it to go to France to deliver a letter to Adolf.

As soon as he left the Owl Shed, Albert ran into an acquaintance. Isobel came hurriedly, holding a package in her hand, and seemed to be in a hurry.

Albert greeted the other party.

However, Isobel didn't seem to want to say anything more to him. She just responded and left in a hurry.

"Forget it, I'd better pretend I don't know!" When Albert was going down the stairs, he saw Isobel walking towards the castle with several of her friends. They had obviously just returned from Hogsmeade.
