Chapter 31: Albert's deception

Views:

The weather on Sunday was not very good and it was still raining outside the castle.

At seven o'clock in the morning, when it was still light, Albert, who had just washed up, was yawning and was carried to the auditorium by his excited roommates to have dinner.

"I really don't understand, what's so exciting about this?" Albert broke free from the twins' hands and straightened his robe.

"That's Hogsmeade village, the most fun place in the whole of Britain," Lee Jordan said exaggeratedly.

"All of Britain?" Albert sighed softly. He felt that his thoughts were not on the same channel as the three people next to him.

On the way to the castle hall, the twins practiced the glow spell while walking, but unfortunately, they were bumped into by Filch.

Then, the unfortunate George was caught by Filch and taken to the administrator's office.

Filch happily took out a large roll of parchment from the desk drawer and spread it out in front of him. Then he picked up the long black quill and dipped it in the ink bottle:

Name… George Weasley.

Crime... Casting spells randomly in the hallway

Recommended... Penalty Recommended...

"Ahem, I just used the glowing spell because my vision was dim. You know, it's still early now, and the corridor..." George lied with his eyes open. There were torches in the corridor they just passed.

"… Washing the chamber pots for the hospital ward." Filch glanced at George and smiled maliciously. "It just so happens that the chamber pots in the hospital ward haven't been washed for a whole summer."

George's expression froze.

"You can go now. I'd better not see you using magic in the corridor." Filch smiled victoriously and drove George out of the administrator's office.

"Pfft!" Albert couldn't help laughing after hearing what George said. He reached out and patted George's shoulder, comforting him, "Don't worry, I can teach you a very simple descaling spell, like cleaning the chamber pot, it will be solved quickly. Besides, Filch can only suggest punishment. In fact, he can't punish you directly."

"That guy is so annoying." George glanced at the door of Filch's office. He looked in a very bad mood. No one wanted to wash the chamber pot.

"Don't be depressed. I'll buy you a cup of butterbeer later." Albert couldn't help laughing again and quickly changed the subject. "By the way, what did you see in Filch's office just now?"

"What do you see? There are a lot of drawers in there, and there are handcuffs, shackles and other things hanging on the wall behind the desk." George complained after thinking carefully, "That old guy, no, that old pervert must have some quirks."

In fact, Albert felt that "Old Glutton" might be more suitable for Filch. After all, as a Squib, he was as useless as a glutton.

However, he did not say this out loud. After all, it was not a good idea to give others such an insulting nickname.

"What else?" Albert asked again, "He must have confiscated a lot of things!"

"Yes, I did see a note on a file cabinet drawer: Confiscated supplies, highly dangerous."

"I guess he put all the confiscated items in there." Fred's eyes lit up and he seemed very interested in the contents of the drawer.

"If it was really highly dangerous, it wouldn't be placed in that place." Albert remembered a good thing, the Hogwarts Marauder's Map, which should be placed there.

"Yes, we think so too." The twins looked at each other and couldn't help laughing.

"You don't want to... not get caught," Albert warned, "otherwise, you will definitely be in trouble."

The twins protested together: "You are slandering us. How could we do such a thing?"

British breakfast is always the richest. Albert made himself a bowl of oatmeal porridge with milk, and put a fried egg, two slices of bacon, two slices of bread, a sausage and a small plate of vegetable salad on the plate.

"Hi, good morning!" a boy greeted the twins as he passed by.

"I remember you seemed to be from Hufflepuff..." Lee Jordan couldn't remember the boy's name for a moment and looked at Albert for help.

"Cedric Diggory," the boy introduced himself.

"Hello Cedric." The twins greeted their neighbor, "I didn't expect you to be in Hufflepuff."

"I don't think Hufflepuff is bad." Cedric didn't like people saying bad things about Hufflepuff.

“We didn’t say anything bad about him.”

"It's just that Gryffindor is better."

The Weasley twins spoke one sentence each.

"Long time no see, Albert." Another person came over and greeted Albert. "I didn't expect you to be in Gryffindor. I was really shocked."

"Long time no see, Gabriel." Albert greeted his pen pal with a smile.

"Do you know each other?" Cedric Diggory asked puzzledly. He had a good relationship with his senior.

"Of course I know him. We met during the summer vacation." Gabriel gave Diggory a mysterious smile. "The one I mentioned to you..."

Cedric Diggory looked at Albert with great surprise. He had heard Gabriel mention the incident himself, but he had never mentioned the man's name.

After Gabriel walked away, the twins looked at each other and said in unison: "Could it be..."

"What is it?" Li Qiaodan hasn't reacted yet.

The twins looked at each other and said, "That thing!"

"What?" This guy still didn't react.

"Hehe, I'm glad to know it. Remember to keep it a secret!" Albert coughed lightly, otherwise I won't give you a Christmas present during this winter vacation.

"We will keep it a secret." The twins said meaningfully, crossing their index fingers and placing them on their mouths, indicating that they would keep it strictly confidential.

"Hey, don't exclude me, you three bastards." Li Jordan was very unhappy and felt that he was excluded from this small circle.

"Ahem, newspaper, remember what we talked about on the train when we came to Hogwarts?" Fred reminded.

"50 Galleons," George reminded.

"Wow, that thing!" Li Qiaodan immediately understood what was going on, "How did you do it in the first place..."

"I don't want the whole school to know about this." Albert put a finger to his mouth to shut the three of them up.

"Okay, but you're awesome!" The Weasley brothers still admired Albert's methods. They wished they could also easily earn 25 Galleons.

"No wonder you were willing to gamble all the Galleons you got." Li Qiaodan said sourly.

"You won't necessarily lose." Albert curled his lips and said, "Do you know why wands made of redwood are popular among wizards?"

“Can it bring luck?” George said uncertainly.

"Yes." Albert continued to deceive, "At that time, I had a hunch that I might make a lot of money if I gambled, so I gambled."
