Chapter 310: Explosive acting

With the help of the Marauder's Map, Albert easily found Isobel's location. She was indeed doing her holiday homework in the library.

Albert went directly to the library to look for someone. He stood at the entrance and looked around. He finally found the red-haired girl in the corner. She was struggling with a paper.

He quietly walked over, raised his hand and tapped twice on the table, placed Smith's envelope in front of her, and said in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "Professor Smith's letter, stay alert."

Albert's action was very light, but it still attracted curious glances from the people around him.

Isobel glanced at the envelope, then looked up at Albert's departing back, silently chewing on the meaning of that sentence in her heart.

"Could it be a love letter?" Isobel's female companion stared at the letter curiously and winked at her friend. "I heard Anderson is a genius."

"Um!"

Isobel opened the letter, read it quickly, then stuffed it into her pocket and gathered her things.

Another girl came over, her eyes burning with gossip, and asked in a low voice, "Are you really dating?"

"I think you two know each other?"

"And I often see you together."

"If he confesses to you, just accept it. I think you two are a good match."

"Stop talking." Isobel picked up her backpack and said to her two friends, "I have something else to do, so I'll leave first."

"If you don't want to, I will confess my love to him and pursue him," another girl joked.

However, Isobel had already walked away and could no longer hear her teasing.

“Everyone has gone far away.”

"I'm serious."

Isobel did not go to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office immediately. Instead, she went back to the Ravenclaw dormitory first, put her schoolbag away, and then went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office to find Professor Smith.

Isobel's situation was very similar to Albert's. She was controlled by Smith's Imperius Curse as soon as she entered and easily handed over her wand.

Albert was immediately depressed. He had asked her to be alert, but she ended up following in his footsteps. Was all his words in vain

Or should I have been more clear just now

Smith looked at the two talented wizards from Hogwarts in front of him with pleasure. The faint smile on his face made Albert inexplicably disgusted, and he had the urge to punch him in the face.

What a hypocritical old man.

"Okay, let's go to the Forbidden Forest to look for Gryffindor's secret treasure!" Rowena Smith said, "You all go to the Forbidden Forest together and meet me at the outskirts. Remember to avoid Hagrid and others."

After receiving the order, Albert and Isobel went directly to the forbidden forest outside the castle.

Albert didn't dare to say anything, fearing that he would be exposed. He suspected that the bastard Smith was following them using the Disillusionment Charm.

To be honest, he didn't believe that Smith was after the damn Gryffindor's secret treasure. If he really wanted that, he would never have used the Unforgivable Curses on them. You know, using the Unforgivable Curses on humans is enough to make him spend life in Azkaban.

Although this statement is a bit exaggerated, the fact that Rowena Smith used the Imperius Curse on the two of them was enough to keep her in Azkaban prison for many years.

While Albert was thinking about the problem, they had arrived at the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid was not in his hunting lodge, which saved them a lot of trouble.

As they were waiting for Rowena Smith to arrive, Albert’s eyes happened to meet Isobel’s, and the expression on his face froze.

Isobel's eyes were still clear, as if saying to him: Help me

Hey, hey, hey!!

Albert blinked, and looking into Isobel's eyes, he suddenly felt as if his thoughts were being read.

"You are not under the Imperius Curse?"

Albert expressed his curiosity in his mind.

"No."

Albert was speechless. It seemed that everyone was an excellent actor and was playing their roles conscientiously.

However, Rowena Smith did not give the two time to continue looking at each other affectionately. Footsteps were heard not far away. He lifted the Disillusionment Spell and appeared out of thin air not far away. He called on the two to continue walking towards the depths of the Forbidden Forest. Occasionally, he stopped to look at the treasure map and really followed the instructions.

Are you really going to find Gryffindor's secret treasure

Albert and Isobel walked silently in front. He didn't know how far they had walked, but the three of them were indeed going deeper into the forbidden forest, and the surrounding environment became more and more gloomy.

Isobel's body shook violently, pretending to resist the control of the Imperius Curse.

After a moment, she returned to normal, turned her head and looked at Smith, and said coldly: “What exactly do you want to do?”

"Nothing, I just want to invite you to go find Gryffindor's secret treasure together." Smith didn't pay much attention to Isobel who had broken free from the Imperius Curse, and moved his eyes to Albert, "You should have broken free from the Imperius Curse as well!"

"I'm just a little curious. What exactly do you want to do? Why do you want to use the Imperius Curse to control us?" Albert asked the doubts in his heart. "Even if you really want to find Gryffindor's secret treasure, there is no need to do such a thing, right?"

"Because he wants to kill us," Isobel sneered, "What did you do to Katrina?"

"Don't worry, I have erased some of her memories. I will still be her respected Uncle Smith." Smith's mouth curled up with a pleasant smile, "When will you return to normal?"

"As we are about to enter the Forbidden Forest." Albert said without hesitation.

Professor Smith looked Albert up and down and asked curiously, "Why didn't you run away?"

"I guess you are watching us from behind!" Albert shook his head and said, "Besides, I also want to know why you are doing this and what makes you so crazy."

"If you don't mind, we can talk while we walk." Rowena Smith raised her wand and pointed at the two of them, saying, "Don't try to resist. Without your wand, you don't have any chance."

"I want to know why you do this." Albert walked ahead silently and asked, "I really can't think of any reason why you do this."

"Of course there is a reason. I'm really disappointed that you, who is so smart, couldn't think of it!"

"Wildsmith?"

"That's right." Smith admitted straightforwardly.

"Are you crazy?" Albert simply couldn't understand it. The morbid smile on Rowena Smith's face made him feel sick.

"He is indeed crazy!" Isobel looked at Smith coldly, "He killed his best friend for that illusory thing, and now he wants to kill his daughter."

"No," Smith glared at Isobel angrily and said word by word, "Bryer died in an experimental accident."

"You used Legilimency on him, right? And you also erased part of his memory." Isobel's tone was filled with bone-chilling indifference. "You killed him."

"How could you possibly know..."

"You are a master of telepathy and are very good at brain occlumency. Unfortunately, I am also a natural telepath. I got the answer from Uncle Mog. They suspected that your father's death was related to you. Although there is no evidence, I have it. You can't always be cautious. It took me a lot of time to find the answer, and this time it further confirmed my guess."

"Excellent speculation." Smith laughed and applauded. "It was indeed an accident. I felt that I had been eliminated, but I just wanted to get the secret about Wildsmith. I put so much effort and hard work into it. I wanted to ask them why I was eliminated."

"Isobel's father also lost the election, right?" Albert suddenly said.

"You're right, he knew nothing." Smith said, "I used a very strong forgetfulness spell on him. Unfortunately, he died a week later because of the failure of the experiment."

"It was because of that damned Forgetfulness spell that hurt Dad." Isobel gritted her teeth and said, "That's why Dad died inexplicably due to an accident in a magic experiment."

"So what?"

"What? Of course... kill you." Isobel took out a magic wand from her pocket and cast magic at Smith.

Albert was stunned, but he soon understood everything. He finally knew why Isobel had endured until now, just for this moment.

The forbidden forest is so large that even if someone disappears inexplicably, it would be difficult to find them, making it very suitable as a grave.

Unfortunately, however, all three of them apparently thought so.
