Chapter 33: Zonko's Joke Shop

Views:

By the time the four finished their butterbeer and came out of the Three Broomsticks, the rain outside had subsided.

"Let's go to Zonko's Joke Shop first!" Fred suggested. He was worried that the four of them would spend all the little change they had left after going to Bee Dukes Candy Store.

"Okay." Albert moved his eyes away from the candy store. In fact, he was a little curious about what was sold in the joke shop that the three of them were so nostalgic for.

Zonko's Joke Shop is right next to Bee Duke's Candy Store, separated only by a house. The shop here is similar to the candy store next to it, with large glass windows filled with a variety of joke props.

When the four people pushed the door open, the bell behind the door rang.

"Welcome." Zuko put down the newspaper, stood up from behind the counter, and smiled to welcome the four little guests. This was a wizard in his forties with a friendly smile on his face.

There were many kinds of goods in the joke shop. Albert put away his umbrella, walked to the window and looked at the goods on it.

"Automatic answering feather pen." Albert whispered the name of the feather pen.

"This is a quill to help you with your pesky subjects.

You write most of the questions." Like a qualified salesman, Zuko introduced the function of the feather pen to Albert in a humorous tone.

"It's indeed a good thing." Albert replied casually, but he didn't agree with it in his heart. Selling this thing to him was like giving reference answers to a top student.

He obviously doesn't need to.

Next to it was a broom. Albert looked at its introduction: Rampage Broom.

When a wizard tries to ride it into the air, the broom will reverse, leaving the wizard riding the broom upside down. There are also five modes, including crazy spins and rapid braking to throw people out.

The broom can fly up to 3 meters high.

This is just a toy broom, and it costs 15 Galleons.

Albert's face twitched, and he turned to look at Fred, George, and Lee Jordan, who were selecting props at the counter on the other side. He walked over and saw that the row of cabinets was filled with bars of soap with some black spots in them.

Frog egg soap.

This is the introduction of the joke prop that gets dirtier the more you wash it with.

Next to the soaps were teacups, but Albert didn't touch any of them because they were labeled "Bite the Nose Teacups."

Once someone uses this cup to drink tea, it will suddenly bite that person's nose and spill the hot tea in the cup.

All right!

If you are not careful, even wizards might get caught.

"What are you going to buy?" Albert asked.

"Dung bomb," the twins said in unison.

"Burp candy and squeaky gummies." Albert felt embarrassed not to buy anything, so he just bought a few candies.

The burp candy is a hard lozenge that will cause hiccups for five minutes. The squeaky candy looks like a mouse. Fred took the initiative to try one. He squeaked like a mouse after biting it, as if he had really bitten a mouse. He was so scared that his mouth opened wide and the candy in his mouth fell to the ground.

"How does it taste?" Albert asked curiously.

"Not bad, just regular fudge."

"What are you buying?" Albert looked at Lee Jordan.

"I want to buy this?" He pointed to a Frisbee with sharp teeth on it.

"This is a wolf tooth flying saucer." Zuko picked up a flying disc and threw it. The four of them heard a roar coming from the whistling flying disc. "You need to be careful when playing with this. Don't get bit."

He took a piece of paper and put it into Frisbee's mouth, and it was torn into pieces in the blink of an eye.

This is quite lethal.

"Let me see if there's anything else." Li Jordan looked at the price and was a little disappointed. This thing cost three Galleons, which was not cheap!

Before leaving, Albert bought two inflatable screaming skeletons. This thing was as big as his fist. Once thrown out, it would quickly expand to the height of a person and scream to scare people. When it exploded, white powder would float and cover people's faces.

Li Qiaodan bought a sticky retractable hand, which can be extended and retracted at will. When thrown out, it will grab the ear of the nearest person. Although it will not hurt, it will make a snapping sound when it is retracted, which will scare the other person.

When the four of them left, they were holding large paper bags filled with things they bought at Zonko's Joke Shop.

Lee Jordan also bought a bag of dung bombs.

The three of them were very curious why Albert didn't buy this thing.

This was almost a must-buy item when they came to Zuko's joke shop.

"No, I'm not interested in that kind of thing." Albert said unhappily.

If you touch this thing, it will become very dirty. If you throw it away, it will explode into disgusting mud and emit a disgusting smell of rotten eggs.

It's simply a biological weapon.

"You'd better not make the dormitory stink." Albert warned seriously.

"Don't worry, we will definitely pay attention. We bought this thing to deal with Filch." George was obviously still upset about being punished to wash the chamber pot.

"That's a great place, isn't it?" Fred asked with a smile.

"It's a great, interesting place." Albert nodded in agreement. He suddenly remembered something and said, "You seem to like these jokes very much. Maybe you can open a similar joke shop in the future."

He remembered that the twins did open a joke shop after graduation, and it did quite well.

"That's a good idea." The twins' eyes lit up. Unlike Albert, they had never thought about what they would do in the future.

"I think you need to learn the spells well. These things also involve some alchemy." Albert picked up a candy and looked at it and reminded.

"And yourself?"

"I haven't decided yet." Albert is still thinking about it.

He had no intention of giving up on his career in New York finance. After all, it was an easy job. According to the experience and tasks he had accumulated, he could improve his skills in economics and finance after graduation. It seemed that making money by doing nothing was more suitable for him!

By the way, it seems that the predictions are pretty good. I can predict the lottery draw and the winner will be $100 million or something like that.

Well, it seems that the time converter is also good. I can win the lottery anytime and anywhere.

By the way, it seems that finance is a better way to make money.

Albert found that using magic to make money reasonably was also a good idea, but the only problem was that once discovered by the Ministry of Magic, there might be trouble.

Prophecy might be better, after all, as long as no one knows he is a prophet, there is no problem.

Just as Albert was thinking about his future plans, the four of them walked into the Bee Duke Candy Store. Even though the twins had been emptied of their change at Zuko's joke shop, they might as well go into the store to take a look at the goods inside and come back to buy candy next time they have money.
