A new car doesn't mean it has good quality.
On the way to the French ski resort, the tour bus the Anderson family was riding in broke down twice, which was a disaster for the passengers in the car who were preparing to go to the snow mountain resort.
"This is definitely the most unreliable hotel I have ever encountered." Nia turned her head to look out the window. The long wait was almost making her lose her patience. The passengers in the bus had been waiting for more than an hour. It was simply a disaster.
"Maybe we should go on vacation to the Isle of Wight." Daisy stared at her husband with a hint of blame in her tone.
"They should buy German cars. As we all know, tour buses in that country are not likely to break down on the road." Herb muttered, avoiding his wife's gaze.
Originally, the Andersons planned to go on vacation to the Isle of Wight, but considering that they had already gone on vacation to the French coast last year, they decided to go skiing in the Alps instead.
In the hot summer, skiing is undoubtedly a good place to escape the heat. Of course, the Anderson family had planned to go skiing a long time ago.
"Okay, eat something, and close your eyes and rest if you're tired!" Albert took out a small jar of candy from his pocket and put it in Nia's hand. It was the candy bought from Honeydukes.
"That thing is really useful. It can hold a lot of things. Is Tom okay?" Nia took the candy, put one in her mouth, and handed the candy to the Herbs sitting in front of them.
"It's fine, just finished eating and is taking a nap!" Albert was observing Tom in the box and muttered. Albert had no intention of following any laws of the wizarding world from the beginning, and used the traceless extension spell to get himself a lot of "space equipment".
Naturally, with this thing, Tom no longer needed to ask his grandfather to take care of him. Albert simply hid Tom in the small box and smuggled him along.
"Are you going to bring Tom to school this semester?" Nia suddenly asked.
"Well, Nia is going to Eton College." Albert said suddenly. Nia's grades were not bad, perhaps because of the pressure Albert put on her.
"If I don't receive an invitation to Hogwarts!" Nia muttered.
Daisy was happy for a long time because of this.
The tour bus continued to move forward slowly and arrived at the ski resort after dark.
The drowsy passengers on the bus were quickly attracted by the beautiful scenery around them, while the children who had never skied were looking around, looking for the legendary ropeway and cable car.
A moment later, the tour bus stopped in front of a three-story hotel. The passengers, who had put on their coats again, couldn't wait to leave the dull and depressing carriage and rushed to the hotel lobby in twos and threes.
The Anderson family booked a double bedroom in advance. As soon as they closed the door, Albert let Tom out of the box. The fat cat, who had just arrived in a strange place, began to sniff around, as if identifying the surrounding smells.
"Mom," Nia asked, "will Tom be afraid of the cold?"
"I prepared a cotton jacket for Tom!" Daisy took out the small cotton jacket prepared for Tom and handed it to Nia.
"Mom, you bought it too small!" Nia took the cotton jacket, tried it on Tom, and shook her head, "There's no way Tom can wear this."
"Don't worry, Tom is so fat, he can withstand the cold!" Albert drove the guy off the bed, "Maybe, we can take this opportunity to help him lose some weight.
"Meow!" Tom called out in dissatisfaction and jumped onto the sofa and squatted down.
"Hahaha!"
They had a French meal with local specialties in the hotel's large restaurant, and then Herb and Daisy went back to their room to sleep.
Albert was going to take Nia around the resort, but Herb was not worried because he knew his son's abilities very well.
The resort is shrouded in beautiful lights at night. There are hotels and restaurants full of French flavor.
You can ski at night, but Albert didn't take Nia to try it. He took the travel brochure issued by the hotel and took Nia to the resort to check out some interesting places or delicious food.
The resort is huge and offers all kinds of entertainment besides skiing. Albert took Nia to look for delicious food nearby and to find a place to rent ski equipment.
"The travel guide given by the resort is a rip-off!" Nia couldn't help but complain as soon as she walked out of the ski shop. If she hadn't come out to look around, she really wouldn't have known that the shop that rented ski equipment recommended by the resort was much more expensive than other shops.
Of course, the ski equipment was better, but in Albert's eyes it was not worth the price.
Some tourists who have borrowed ski equipment can't wait to go skiing on a snow slope next to the town, but not all tourists who come here for vacation are good at skiing.
The beverage shop next to the small snow slope has a large floor-to-ceiling window. Albert and Nia drank coffee while watching a group of people skiing on the slope.
During the day, it is a place for newbies to practice skiing, and at night it is a ski resort for those who want to ski. After all, it is not safe to go far at night.
"Your hot cocoa." Albert handed a cup of hot drink to Nia. "Drink it and go back to sleep. Go skiing tomorrow."
"Yeah." Nia responded.
"What's wrong?" Albert followed Nia's gaze and saw someone skiing on the snow slope.
Well, actually, except for the woman with the long cascading silver hair, everyone else stopped and stared at her figure.
"Don't look." Nia muttered. "That woman is weird."
"Yeah." Albert agreed, "She is indeed very beautiful."
After Albert finished speaking, he found that Nia was staring at him in dissatisfaction, and quickly agreed, “Of course, Nia is also very cute.”
"snort!"
Nia curled her lips in disdain and reminded, "Look at the reactions of the others. They are all staring blankly, like idiots." After the girl left, many men still turned their heads to look at her leaving back.
After a while, a loud quarrel broke out in the store. All the men who came with their female companions were in trouble. After all, if anyone saw their boyfriend staring at a woman, no matter how good-tempered they were, they would get angry and jealous and quarrel with their boyfriend.
"Do you know what that is?" Nia asked curiously. But then again, you don't seem to be affected.
"That's because I'm determined." Albert guessed what was going on.
The girl might be a Veela, or have Veela blood.
Albert still remembered that during the Triwizard Tournament, there was a beautiful contestant of Veela descent, but the ages of the two did not match.
"That woman is a wizard, right?" Nia suddenly said.
"Why do you say that?" Albert asked.
"I think she might have used some kind of magic to make those people so fascinated by her." Nia said affirmatively. Ever since she knew the existence of magic, she would attribute many unreasonable things to magic.
"Well, the other party might be a Veela, or a wizard with Veela blood." Albert did not deny this, "But it is indeed a bit strange for wizards to appear in the Muggle world."
"If I use magic, can I become that charming?" Nia asked quickly.
"You are already very charming." Albert said with a smile, "Also, the beauty brought by magic is usually short-lived. There is nothing to envy."
"We should go back and not let them worry."
