Chapter 346: Magic Candy

An hour later, Albert, Fred and George returned to the Leaky Cauldron after shopping. Mrs. Weasley, Ron and Percy had not returned yet. However, their books had been delivered and were piled on the floor next to Herb and Mr. Weasley's table.

After seeing Albert coming back, Herb couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief and asked, "Have you bought everything?"

"If all the books are there, they are all there," said Albert, picking out a marked package from his pile. "This is a gift for everyone."

"Mrs. Weasley has bought all the books you want." Herbert pointed to the package next to him and said, "I'll go back first. You should be careful."

"Don't worry, we're safe there." Mr. Weasley smiled and helped move things.

Fred and George had always wanted to invite Albert to their home for a few days, saying that Albert had helped them a lot. This time they finally succeeded.

"Mr. Anderson is different from any Muggle I have ever met." Mr. Weasley said with emotion as he looked in the direction where the car disappeared.

Every time he discussed certain electrical appliances in the Muggle world with others, they would look at him as if he were a madman.

It was rare to find a Muggle like Herb who could patiently explain to him the uses of those electrical appliances, and the tone of his voice made him feel very comfortable.

It is not difficult to see that Herb cares about his son very much and asks a lot about the magical world.

It is important to communicate and understand each other.

"Well, he's very receptive to certain things." Albert knew that Herb didn't have much patience, so he said casually, "After all, his son is a wizard."

After returning to the Leaky Cauldron, Mr. Weasley ordered a glass of butterbeer for each of the three people and prepared to continue chatting with Albert about Muggle electrical appliances.

However, Albert soon diverted the topic to discuss the invasion of Gringotts.

"Everyone suspects that it was done by a powerful dark wizard." Mr. Weasley told what he knew. "This is not good news. The goblins at Gringotts are almost going crazy. They still can't find any clues about the intruder."

"The Daily Prophet said that the item wasn't lost, but someone took it away in advance." Albert suddenly said, "It should be a very valuable item."

"I don't know." Mr. Weasley didn't want to talk about this topic.

"Those goblins are actually very stupid." Albert suddenly said in a low voice.

Mr. Weasley opened his mouth, but Albert continued, "If we can't find the culprit, we can ask the owner of the items. Maybe he knows who invaded Gringotts."

"Why?"

Mr. Weasley was also stunned, but Fred was the first to ask everyone's question.

"The goblins didn't reveal what was in the vault, so not many people must know what that item is." Albert whispered, "And the thief actually targeted it directly, which means that he knew very well what was in the vault. Otherwise, why didn't he steal other valuables, but instead targeted the things in the vault directly?"

"Yeah, that makes sense. The thief certainly wasn't completely ignorant," George agreed.

"Then the wizard who put the item in Gringotts must not be completely unaware of this matter. He obviously knew or had a premonition of something, otherwise he would not have taken the item away in advance." Albert continued to analyze, "There are not so many coincidences in the world."

Mr. Weasley had to admit that what Albert said made sense.

However, the topic did not continue. Mrs. Weasley came back with Ron, carrying a bunch of packages, followed by Percy, who was holding an owl.

They borrowed the fireplace from Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, and used Floo powder to return to the Burrow.

Albert was the first to come out of the fireplace. As soon as he moved away, hurried footsteps were heard upstairs.

"Mom, did you buy me..."

A red-haired girl appeared at the stairs, looked at the stranger in the house, was stunned for a moment, and looked at Albert warily.

However, she was soon relieved because Fred and George came out of the fireplace one after another.

"Our sister Ginny." Fred introduced them to each other, "This is Albert, I told you, he will be staying at our house for the next few days."

"Hello Ginny." Albert smiled and greeted Ginny, a cute red-haired girl.

"Hello!" Ginny looked at Albert and quickly ran to Mrs. Weasley who had just come out of the fireplace.

"A wizard's home is incredible." Albert said with a smile as he looked at the pot he was cleaning. "It's magical... By the way, where's Charlie?"

"Charlie went to Romania to study dragons," George said rather helplessly. "We just sent him to King's Cross Station to catch the train a few days ago."

"train?"

"There are trains to other countries from King's Cross," George explained.

"I thought wizards used Portkeys or Floo powder to travel."

"Most of the time, only stowaway wizards use portkeys." Mr. Weasley finally emerged from the fireplace. "You'll stay at Charlie's tonight."

"Of course Albert will stay in our room, and George will sleep in Charlie's room." Fred said immediately.

"Why don't you sleep in Charlie's room?" George complained.

"Come, I'll show you our bedroom." Fred ignored George's complaints and said to Albert with his package, "We have some research results on the thing you mentioned last time."

"That thing?" Albert was stunned for a moment before he remembered what Fred was talking about.

As they walked through the narrow corridor and stepped onto the shaky stairs, George said regretfully, "It's a pity that it's still only a half-finished product."

Fred and George's room was a mess, with a lot of things piled up in it.

"Originally, we planned to cast a spell on the toffee, but later we found that this method didn't work. We can only work on the potion, but it's not easy." Fred sat on the camp bed and threw the toffee on the table to Albert, saying, "This is a semi-finished product we made."

"It seems that you need a laboratory so that you can try to use the Traceless Stretching Charm. Also, no one will eat this stuff because it has too strong a potion smell." Albert peeled off the shell, smelled the candy, and frowned slightly. There was a smell of expander in the toffee.

"Dad won't agree." George was very depressed. "He scolded us last time because of this."

"Why?"

"The Ministry of Magic doesn't allow wizards to use spells like that at will," Fred explained.

"As long as the Ministry of Magic doesn't know about it, it will be fine." Albert picked up the book and began to read it. "Are you going to try to improve the swelling potion?"

"Well, we tried swelling agents, but they were terrible. Last time Fred got himself into trouble, his tongue couldn't taste anything for days." George continued with a look of dismay on his face. "So, we tried swelling agents again, but the toffee taste they made was very strong."

"That thing in your hand is the latest improvement. We plan to try it out on the goblins downstairs." Fred whispered, "Of course, we can't let Mom know. Maybe you can help us improve it."

The twins looked at Albert expectantly.

"Let's test the effect of the candy first?" Albert blinked and said, "Where is the goblin you are talking about?"
