Chapter 347: The Burrow

The three of them went downstairs and into the yard, where a few fat brown chickens were pecking at food.

The Weasleys' yard was very large. If the surrounding land was included, it was overgrown with weeds and the flower beds were unkempt. There was also a large green pond next to it with many frogs in it.

Fred walked to the flower bed, bent down and reached inside, and caught a goblin in a moment.

"Let me go! Let me go!" the goblin screamed, kicking Fred's hands.

"It can actually talk!" Albert came over and looked at the goblin, feeling that this creature was incredible.

The goblin is not big, with a big bald round head like a potato and rough and tough skin.

"Well, the goblins can talk, but they are very stupid. You just need to make them dizzy and they won't be able to find the goblin hole." Fred grabbed the goblin's ankle and lifted it upside down. He said to Albert with a smile, "Let's go somewhere else. Don't let Mom see us. She doesn't like us playing with those things. She always wants us to go to the Ministry of Magic in the future. You know, that place is like a prison."

Albert couldn't help laughing.

"What are you doing?"

The three were just about to move to another place when Ginny appeared out of nowhere, stared at Fred who was carrying the goblin, and asked curiously.

"We are going to do an interesting experiment!" George winked at Ginny and said, "Don't tell Mom, okay?"

"OK!"

Ginny nodded vigorously in agreement.

The four of them changed places, and after Fred put the gnome down, George was seen pulling a toffee out of his pocket, peeling off the outer wrapper, and forcing it into the gnome's mouth.

This was not an easy task. George was bitten by the goblin and it took him a long time to get the goblin to eat the candy.

"You feed taffy to the goblins?"

Ginny blinked her beautiful eyes and asked in confusion.

"It seems to have failed?" Albert said, "Perhaps, you should drop two drops of expander directly into its mouth to see if the expander is effective on creatures like goblins."

"Are you a devil?" Fred couldn't help but complain, but he really did it.

As George pried the goblin's mouth open, he poured some expander into it.

"It doesn't seem to have any effect."

As soon as he finished speaking, the goblin in front of them suddenly swelled up, like a blown-up balloon.

"It's effective, but not obvious." Albert said his guess, "It's probably because the expander you made is not very effective. Of course, it may also be that creatures like goblins have a certain resistance to potions."

"We spent our summer tinkering with this," Fred said glumly, "and this is the crap we ended up with."

"Let's bring it back!" Albert asked, "It shouldn't be a problem to use magic here!"

"It doesn't matter. In a wizard's home, the Ministry of Magic can't figure out who is using magic."

"How envious! I can't use magic at home." Albert took out his wand and waved it, returning the swollen goblin to its original shape.

"By the way, how on earth did you develop the fat lip seasoning last time?"

"Who knows?" Albert comforted him casually, "Things won't go as smoothly as you think, especially when it comes to inventions. Without sufficient knowledge and patience, it won't work."

The twins curled their lips in disdain. Someone had created quite a few interesting magic props.

"Okay, let's not talk about this for now. Tell me about the wizarding world. I'm curious about what the life of a wizard is like."

Albert looked at the Weasley's house from afar. It looked very artistic. Not to mention the four or five chimneys on the roof, the house was stacked together haphazardly and it was crooked but it hadn't collapsed yet. It must have been built entirely by magic.

Unlike Broad's manor, the Weasley family lived in a remote rural area and had their own vegetable garden. They not only raised chickens and ducks, but also had a pigpen further away. This was a completely self-sufficient small farming life.

"It's boring. We usually help with housework and play Quidditch together occasionally." Fred seemed reluctant to talk about these things. "Maybe, we should promote wizard cards as soon as possible."

"Wizard cards, what are those?" Ginny asked curiously.

"Albert invented a card game, and we are trying to promote it. Last semester, we held the first wizard card competition in Hogwarts..." Fred talked incessantly to his sister about their great achievements in school, and he boasted about them to the sky. In the end, George couldn't stand it anymore and kicked him to shut up.

Probably to attract Albert, the Weasleys' lunch was particularly sumptuous.

During the meal, Mr. Weasley asked Albert to sit next to him and kept asking him about Muggles.

Albert talked a lot about Muggles and asked Mr. Weasley about the wizarding world. He was very interested in the radio stations of wizarding radio, but Mr. Weasley couldn't explain it. He only said that wizards used magic to transform Muggle radios.

In fact, wizards are very good at doing this kind of thing. The Hogwarts Express is the best example. At that time, the British Ministry of Magic directly requisitioned a Muggle train and made a series of modifications to it.

"Thank you, I'm full."

When Mrs. Weasley enthusiastically offered Albert a third serving of rice, he quickly refused.

After lunch, everyone sat at the dining table and chatted. Albert asked Mr. Weasley if he would get into trouble if he practiced Divination at home.

"Probably not, as long as you don't use magic." Mr. Weasley said casually. He obviously didn't think Albert could learn divination by himself.

"It's hard to learn anything useful from divination classes." Percy, who rarely went back to his room, said, "At best, it can only teach people some common sense. There are very few wizards who really know how to predict the future."

"Hmm!" Albert responded without knowing whether it was okay or not. He had the panel skills, and if he upgraded them a little, he would definitely be able to learn prophecy, so he was not worried at all that he would not be able to learn it.

Percy seemed to have opened up and started talking to Albert about his own experiences and how to manage his time so that he would not be unable to complete his twelve assignments.

Most of Percy's experiences were told to him by Bill.

"I think your consideration is completely unnecessary." Fred finally couldn't help but interrupt Percy.

"Don't forget, Albert grew up in the Muggle world, and he's better at Muggle Studies than most wizards even without studying them." George pointed this out bluntly. He thought he might be unable to finish the homework, but Albert certainly wouldn't.

"His ancient runes are much more powerful than yours." Fred continued to attack Percy, "I think you are definitely not as good as Albert."

"Ahem, let's continue talking about divination. I'm very interested in it." Albert interrupted, "However, the professor of divination doesn't seem very reliable."

"It's not very reliable." Percy said in a low voice, "But everyone can still learn some basic knowledge."

In the afternoon, a few people got together to play wizard cards.

Ron and Ginny also joined in.

However, Ron was bored with this card game without any special effects, and was ridiculed by Fred and George.

Ginny was interested in the portraits of the characters above. After listening to the rules, she quickly got the hang of it and started playing with Fred.

"Why isn't there any Percy card?" Ginny asked after playing a round.

"Because we didn't get Percy's permission." Albert explained casually, "If he allows, we wouldn't mind making a card for him, um, Prefect Percy."

"It's better not to do it. I don't think anyone will use it."

In the evening, when the sun was setting and the heat had just subsided, Fred and George suggested that everyone go to the nearby woods to play Quidditch.

Ron and Ginny came along, and they took turns using Charlie's broom.

"Wood will definitely not let you slack off again." Fred looked at the people flying in the sky and said to Albert, "After all, we lost so badly last time."

"Forget it. I have a lot of classes this semester and I'm too busy to handle them all."

"Why do you want to learn so much?" George was puzzled. "You are not Percy, the guy who wants to join the Ministry of Magic all the time. I don't think you are interested in the Ministry of Magic."

"Well, I'm not interested, but you never have too little knowledge. You should accumulate more so that you don't have enough when you need it." Albert changed the subject. "Your sister is a good flyer. She may become an excellent Quidditch player in the future."

"She used to secretly take a broom and fly." George curled his lips. Of course, he and Fred pretended not to know about this.

"I remember you seemed to have a sister."

"Well, she has no magical talent."

"It's unbelievable that he has no magical talent." George was indeed a little surprised. After all, in their opinion, Albert's magical talent was too amazing.

"There's nothing we can do about it." Albert said helplessly, "Some things can't be forced."

Just as the two were talking, an owl flew towards them.

"You have so many letters. I always feel like I see you receiving them." Fred couldn't help but complain, "Who sent them?"

"Mr. Broad." Albert glanced at the sender on the envelope, tore open the envelope, took out the letter inside and began to read the contents. He frowned slightly. Mr. Broad told him that someone would pick him up before dinner.

"He said he would send someone to pick me up from his place later."

"You're leaving? I thought you were going to stay with us for a few days." Fred, who happened to be left behind, couldn't help but widen his eyes and said, "Mom will definitely be disappointed if you don't stay for dinner."

"I'll write him a letter." Albert put away the letter, patted the owl's head and said, "Tell him to come and pick me up after dinner."

Albert was a little curious about what surprise Isobel wrote in her last letter. She seemed to think that she would definitely accept the fact of being an heir.
