The corridor on the right side of the fourth floor of the castle that is off-limits to students is actually no different from other corridors in the castle. However, because Headmaster Dumbledore banned students from entering during the opening dinner, it is completely deserted and looks gloomy.
"I don't think there's anything special here!" Truman followed in with his friends and closed the wooden door behind him to prevent others from noticing that someone had entered the restricted area of the corridor.
After the door closed, the view into the corridor immediately became very dim.
"Why does Headmaster Dumbledore forbid other students from coming here?" A freckled boy next to Truman couldn't help but ask.
No one could understand. According to Dumbledore, anyone who did not want to encounter an accident or a painful death should not enter the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor, which is here.
Does that mean there's something in this corridor that could threaten their lives
"There must be some secret." Fred had already pulled out his wand from his pocket, chanted a spell to light up the tip of the wand, and began to look around, trying to figure out what the so-called danger was.
Others also lit up their wands and looked around vigilantly. The atmosphere around them suddenly became solemn.
"Everyone knows there's a secret here." The freckled boy next to Truman said unhappily, "Why are those senior students who came in just now gone?"
Lee Jordan quietly walked to the side of the freckled boy and whispered: "Maybe he fell into a trap and died tragically."
Ever since he last braved Gryffindor, he had been pretty calm in the situations he encountered.
The freckled boy was frightened by Li Jordan and almost screamed.
When he came to his senses, his cheeks immediately turned red and he glared at Lee Jordan.
"This is not funny at all," Truman couldn't help but scold.
"Since Dumbledore said this place is dangerous, you should stay alert. I don't want to see you die unexpectedly in front of me."
Although his words were meant to intimidate them, Truman didn't want anything unexpected to happen to them.
"Okay, stop joking and let's look around. I have a feeling there will be unexpected surprises here." Albert put his hand on Lee Jordan's shoulder, signaling him to stop joking with everyone.
"I didn't expect him to be so timid."
Fred and George couldn't help laughing and moved forward to look for the so-called danger.
Albert shook his head helplessly and waved his wand lightly. The torches on the wall next to him were lit, and a large area of the originally dim corridor was illuminated by the light of the torches.
There were no other classrooms on either side of this corridor, and they did not encounter any danger as they walked along. What caught their eyes was a door at the end of the corridor.
Maybe the secret is hidden behind the door.
Just as everyone was about to go over to check what was going on inside the door, the wooden door was suddenly kicked open, and several senior students ran out screaming.
The next moment, in full view of everyone, a monster-like big dog squeezed out from the door. One of its heads bit the leg of the senior student who was running at the end, and was about to drag the unlucky guy into the door amid people's screams and exclamations.
To be honest, Albert was also shocked by Lu Wei's size. This guy was so big that he could fill the space from the ceiling to the floor. Its three heads and three pairs of vicious eyes were all staring at these uninvited outsiders.
Soon, Lu Wei quickly came to his senses, and a deafening roar echoed in the corridor. He pretended to rush towards everyone, scaring everyone so much that they screamed and turned away.
Albert narrowed his eyes slightly and waved his wand. A ball of light suddenly exploded in the corridor. After Lu Wei let go of the student whose leg was bitten, he immediately waved his wand and dragged the unfortunate guy back from the floor.
The student screamed in fear as he was dragged across the marble floor by magic. When the three-headed dog came to its senses, it found that its prey had been taken away.
However, Albert had already set up a transparent magic shield between the two sides. The three-headed dog crashed into the magic shield, looking very angry, and scratched the invisible magic shield with its claws.
Albert had no doubt that the big guy in front of him had forgotten about him, but he was absolutely sure that the unlucky guy he had just pulled back had fainted from fright.
"Hurry, hurry, drag him away." Albert urged.
Most of the students who had entered the corridor had already run away. Fred and the others who were still standing here seemed to be considering whether to use a stunning spell on the big dog in front of them. But after hearing Albert's words, they decided to do as he said. They each held the student's shoulders and thighs and carried him away quickly. After Albert finally left the corridor, they closed the wooden door again.
Now they knew why this place was off-limits.
"You saved Clown, thank God, how did you save Clown from that big dog." The two students who ran away first turned back and almost cried for joy when they saw their friend who was originally dragged away by the big dog.
"You actually abandoned your companions." The freckled boy next to Truman looked at them with contempt, as if he had not turned around and ran away at the first moment.
"I know why Dumbledore doesn't want anyone to come here. We were almost bitten to death by it just now." Both of them were a little embarrassed, and one of them said, holding his chest.
"What on earth do they want to do, locking up such a monster in the school!" Truman gasped, shocked and angry. He was obviously frightened just now.
"They all ran away." Fred curled his lips in disdain and looked at Albert and asked, "What should we do with this guy? He seems to have fainted."
"Do you think everyone is as fearless as you guys?" someone muttered in a low voice.
Albert and his companions did not escape, and they even rescued the people.
"Okay, calm down, guys. Send your friend to the school hospital first. His leg is bitten. I hope Madam Pomfrey can heal him." Albert interrupted the quarrel among the few people. Only now did he notice who the guy whose thigh was bitten was.
Crown Prewett.
Well, the previous prefect was the guy he met when he first came to Hogwarts in his first year.
It seems that no student union president was elected this time.
"They're not Gryffindors," Fred whispered.
"I know."
Albert had long noticed that these three were prefects.
The previous prefect of Gryffindor, the previous prefect of Ravenclaw, and the previous prefect of Hufflepuff. None of the three were elected as student union president, so did they come here together to seek excitement
"Please help take him to the school hospital," Fred said to Truman.
After Fred and his men carried the people away, Albert looked at the two men who looked unhappy and asked, "You cast a spell on the three-headed dog, right!"
"I used a stun spell, but it didn't seem to work. It just shook its head and woke up." One of them was still a little scared, but he thanked Albert again for saving Crown Prewett.
That guy was actually trying to delay the three-headed dog by being the rear guard, but because he didn't have the aura of a protagonist, he almost got his legs bitten off and even lost his life.
"Use a stun spell?" Albert raised his eyebrows and asked again.
"We saw that the big dog seemed to be guarding something, and there was a trapdoor inside." The Ravenclaw boy suddenly said, "I bet ten Galleons that Headmaster Dumbledore must have hidden something valuable there!"
"Maybe, but our thin arms and legs are not enough to be lunch for that big dog." Albert did not deny this and walked towards the medical room. Before leaving, he turned back and said to the two, "Do you want to come with us?"
