Chapter 372: Death prophecy

"Your cat?"

Katrina looked at the two people sitting there, then looked at the fat cat on the table, and she knew who the cat belonged to.

"Well, this is Tom." Albert reached out and pressed the remaining dried fish on the table. He picked up the magic wand and waved it. After resealing the package of the dried fish, he stuffed it into his coat pocket.

"Silent spell?"

Katrina had a complicated look on her face. Albert's casual repair spell had undoubtedly dealt her a heavy blow.

She only started learning silent spells in the fifth grade. She had tried a few of the simplest magics, but all of them failed.

"No, I chanted a spell." Albert said with a smile, not admitting that he could cast a silent spell.

Katrina didn't believe it. This guy in front of her liked to talk to fool others. Did he really think she was deaf

"If you're done, don't take up space." She said, "Also, your cat should lose weight. I've never seen a cat so fat. How can it catch mice?"

"Tom doesn't need to know how to catch mice, he just needs to be cute." Albert said with a smile. He gave his seat to Katrina and moved to the newly appeared table in the corner to start making new wizard cards. Since he wanted to make this new card game popular, he naturally needed to spend some time on it.

As for the materials and styles, he had already collected and designed them during the summer vacation. Although he couldn't use magic at home, he was not completely helpless.

The back of the wizard card will be two crossed wands and a hat as the background. He originally planned to use W as the background, but thinking that this is what the Ministry of Magic uses, Albert simply gave up and changed it to a beautiful wizard's pointed hat.

However, considering that it is going to use the duplication spell for promotion, there is no magical effect on it. Well, it is just an ordinary Muggle card.

The Wizard Cards 1.1 version is far better than the one written by random people.

Of course, in order to paint a good picture for everyone, Albert still made his cards very delicate, so that they can see what the wizard cards will look like in the future.

No matter what, people need some dreams and expectations.

Albert put the cards into the box one by one to keep them out of Tom's claws.

"I feel like Divination class is garbage!"

A voice came from the side. Albert turned his head and saw Katrina predicting her luck for this month with the help of "Seeing the Future through the Mist".

Katrina was anxious; she had already attended several classes but couldn't see the future of the course.

What about using tea leaves to interpret tea leaves? It's a bunch of rubbish.

There was no way. Except for Albert, the guy who seemed to be able to tell fortunes and could chat with Professor Trelawney, everyone else in the class had completely lost their previous curiosity and expectations about this course. They all understood why Professor Trelawney was considered a liar.

As for the homework, you can tell at a glance that it's all made up

Professor Trelawney enjoys watching people predict bad things about themselves.

Then, most people’s homework is to think about what bad things will happen to them this month.

Katrina is not a person who likes to be perfunctory, so she can't really say that she likes the divination class.

"Isobel, why don't you give up this course?" Katrina asked her sister. She even doubted whether Isobel could learn any useful knowledge from this course.

"That's what divination classes are like. Although I don't know how to divination, I can still learn some basic things." Isobel looked up at her sister and said lightly, "Divination requires talent. Professor Trelawney has said this from the beginning."

"You sound just like Albert." Katrina was a little unhappy.

"Is anyone calling me?"

Albert's voice floated from not far away.

"I'm not calling you." Katrina said unhappily.

"I'm not deaf." Albert looked at Katrina meaningfully, "I heard everything just now."

"Well, I was just saying why I chose this damn divination course." Katrina said anxiously, "Maybe I should throw them into the trash can. That's where they belong."

Albert glanced at Isobel, then looked at Katrina's parchment with few words written on it, raised his eyebrows and said, "You don't know enough about this course, and you don't know its own positioning."

"Well, let me hear your opinion, Mr. Great Prophet."

"In my opinion, Professor Trelawney is just a second-rate prophet. I don't think she can even bear such a heavy title. At most, she is just a fortune teller in the Muggle world." Albert pulled a chair and sat down next to them, and continued, "In the Muggle world, a first-rate fortune teller can usually predict something through some clues."

"For example, your mentality, habits, reactions, or even other things, or analyzing the answer from some insignificant intelligence, or secretly giving you a psychological hint to achieve it."

"So, this is how you predicted that the forbidden forest was dangerous..." Katrina raised her eyebrows, but was interrupted by Isobel, who motioned for Albert to continue.

"Those who think rigorously will not like so-called divination, unless they are real prophets. Wizards who can really predict the future are very respected." Albert glanced at Katrina who was in a bad mood, and continued slowly: "I think Dumbledore probably doesn't have much interest in Professor Trelawney's so-called divination predictions, or our headmaster doesn't believe in Professor Trelawney's stuff at all. In the eyes of Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor Trelawney may be a person who likes to brag and has no self-knowledge.

"But why did Headmaster Dumbledore hire Professor Trelawney instead of choosing other wizards or simply canceling this course?" Katrina asked the question in her mind.

"What do you know about the name Trelawney?"

"What?"

"Cassandra Trelawney is a famous prophet." Isobel explained, "Professor Trelawney is probably related to that person, and the talent for prophecy is usually hereditary. What Albert means is that Dumbledore would not have hired Professor Trelawney just because of Cassandra Trelawney's reputation, unless she really has some real skills."

"That's it."

"I don't see what Professor Trelawney is really capable of." Katrina muttered, "She's not even as good as Albert at deceiving others."

"Professor Trelawney must have made a prophecy for Dumbledore, and that prophecy came true." Albert pretended not to have heard what Katrina said, "It's just that that person may not have inherited the Trelawney family's gift for prophecy, which resulted in her being unable to make predictions normally."

"You sound like you can," Katrina muttered, "Maybe I should talk to Professor Flitwick and give up the Divination class."

"You can give up Muggle Studies all together, so you'll have a normal schedule," Isobel suggested kindly.

"Forget it, I've already learned it, how can I give up!" Katrina hesitated for a moment, but decided to persevere. She didn't want to become a laughing stock.

"The divination class will examine tea leaf divination, palmistry, and crystal ball divination at the end." Isobel did not persuade him any further and told him the information she had collected. "Normally, as long as you learn the most basic knowledge well, you can at least get a passing grade. The examiners don't expect you to be able to truly predict the future."

"Of course they didn't expect that there are only so many wizards who can really predict the future." Albert made his voice sound like it came from far away, imitating Professor Trelawney's tone of voice: "So, now you understand why Professor Trelawney said that Divination is the most difficult course to learn in all magical arts. If you don't have 'sight', then there is very little I can teach you. In this regard, books can only take you so far..."

"Can you really tell fortunes?" Katrina asked again.

"If I say that Professor Dumbledore will die within ten years, would you believe it?" Albert suddenly said.

"Principal Dumbledore is already very old. Okay, I know what you mean!" Katrina understood what Albert meant.

In fact, it is just in a big circle, predicting something that may happen, even if it does not happen, it will not affect Albert.

After all, there are still ten years left, and by then I would have probably forgotten about this matter. Besides, this guy never said he could tell fortunes, so you can't say he is a liar.

"Okay, another liar." Katrina understood Albert's operation. "Prophecies and the like are all lies."
