After October, the weather cleared up and Albert left Fred, George and Lee Jordan who were busy with their homework and went out for a walk with his own Tom.
Some people say that walking the cat is not a good choice, but Albert has walked the cat several times. When Tom goes out with him, he always follows him closely. If he runs around, he will be called back by the Flying Curse.
After being summoned by the Flying Curse several times, Tom knew that he couldn't run around when he went out.
When the man and the cat passed the fourth floor, they met Professor Quirrell.
The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's expression was not as good as when he first arrived at Hogwarts. Perhaps it was because he was possessed by Voldemort, or perhaps he was being tortured by Voldemort because he had not been able to steal the Philosopher's Stone.
"Good morning, sir."
"Good morning."
The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor responded dryly.
"Well, professor, I have a question about female ghosts." Without waiting for Professor Quirrell to refuse, Albert quickly talked about the female ghost choir at the first-year Halloween party.
Professor Quirrell opened his mouth. He really didn't want to meet Albert right now. Every time they met him halfway, as long as he was not in a hurry, the other party would ask questions that looked strange, but you had to admit that it was a very good question.
"The voices of female ghosts are deadly because their screams carry curses. I think the choir probably started from this aspect. As for other reasons, I have no clue for the time being." Quirrell spoke slowly and hesitantly, "I'll tell you when I find the reason!"
After saying this, Professor Quirrell slipped away, fearing that Albert would ask some weird questions again.
Looking at Professor Quirrell's receding back, Albert picked up Tom and scratched his chin, muttering softly, "Tom, you're really useless!"
Perhaps the mechanism that Headmaster Dumbledore had the professors set up to protect the Philosopher's Stone had worked. Perhaps Quirrell himself was still waiting for the best opportunity to avoid being discovered by the professors in the school when he took the Philosopher's Stone.
In short, Quirrell is still lurking, and his efficiency is shockingly low.
Of course, it can also be considered that students from Ravenclaw College are more cautious!
If Quirrell was a student of Gryffindor College, he would have rushed into it first when things got out of hand. He would not have had the time to slowly inquire about information and figure out what mechanisms the professors had set up.
Although the efficiency was very low, it is undeniable that Quirrell did a good job. In the end, he successfully passed the mechanism set up by the professors. However, he did not find out how to crack the mechanism set up by Dumbledore.
If Harry had not appeared by chance, Albert even suspected that Quirrell would never be able to take the Philosopher's Stone out of the magic mirror.
Yes, that's right. Albert felt that it was possible that letting Harry Potter face Voldemort directly was most likely a trap set by Headmaster Dumbledore.
On the way, Albert encountered a little setback.
Tom and Mrs. Norris faced each other, one was very fat and the other was very thin, forming a sharp contrast.
As soon as the two cats met, they looked at each other and bared their teeth in protest. Albert thought they were going to fight, and when he was about to take his cat away, he saw his own Tom raising his paw and waving it at Mrs. Norris. After Mrs. Norris dodged it, Tom quickly ran to Albert's feet, looking like he had someone to back him up.
"Okay, stop messing around."
This scene made Albert want to laugh. He took out some dried fish from his pocket, put them in front of Mrs. Norris, and left with his Tom.
I don’t know if it’s because of the recent exercise, but Tom’s physical fitness has become much better than before. At least when he went downstairs, he didn’t fall to the ground due to exhaustion.
On the way, many girls wanted to touch Tom, but he rejected them all. Tom was still complaining that Albert gave his dried fish to other cats.
Albert took Tom out of the castle and headed towards Hagrid's hut.
He didn't let Tom mess around in the bushes. It had rained yesterday and the soil on the ground was very dirty. If Tom got himself dirty, Albert would have to spend time bathing him. Bathing a cat is a physical job, even for a cat that bathes regularly.
Tom was floating in the air by Albert's levitation spell. He had already gotten used to the feeling of floating in the air and was not as panicked as the first time. His four legs kept paddling off the ground as if he was taking a space walk.
Albert raised his hand and knocked on Hagrid's wooden door. After a while, scratching sounds were heard from inside the door. Fang was scratching at the door from inside.
After a moment, the door opened and Hagrid, wearing an apron and humming a little tune, seemed to be preparing lunch.
Tom was startled by Hagrid and meowed.
"Your cat?" Hagrid glanced at Tom and made way for Albert to enter.
“It’s really fat.”
"Yes, Tom is indeed a little fat. I've been trying to find ways to make him lose weight recently." Albert put Tom on the table. Yaya came over curiously, put his paws on the table, stretched his head and sniffed Tom fiercely. Tom was startled and ran to squat beside Albert.
"Hagrid, what are you doing?" Albert asked, looking at Hagrid who was stirring the spoon.
"Mushroom soup, would you like some? Fresh mushrooms are delicious." Hagrid said excitedly.
"Fresh mushrooms?" After feeding Yaya some dog food, Albert came to Hagrid's side, looked at the mushroom soup in the pot, looked around, and his eyes fell on a basket in the corner.
"Where did these mushrooms come from? Did you buy them?" Albert asked casually as he walked towards the basket.
"Bought it? No, no, on rainy days, there are always a lot of delicious mushrooms in the Forbidden Forest. I went into the forest this morning and brought some back."
"Can I eat it?"
"Of course you can eat it." Hagrid raised his hand and pointed at the strange-looking mushroom that looked a bit like an animal's brain. "It grows when it rains. Do you want to stay and taste my cooking?"
Albert raised his eyebrows. It looks a bit like deer fungus
If it is Deer Fungus, it must be cooked before eating. Eating it raw will cause poisoning.
However, Albert quickly expressed his doubts about Hagrid's claim that it was edible.
"Hagrid, I have to remind you that, according to common sense, most brightly colored mushrooms are poisonous." Albert saw a bright red mushroom with unique white spots on it. It looked like a cute red mushroom in fairy tales or cartoons.
Um, poisonous... mushrooms.
"You're talking about this? I call it the Drunken Mushroom. It's pretty good. If you eat a small amount you'll feel a little tipsy, just like when you drink too much wine." Hagrid said casually, obviously having already eaten it.
Albert recalled carefully and seemed to have seen similar records.
Well, a poisonous mushroom that can be used to make potions in small quantities, but if used directly, it is likely to cause hallucinations and make you insane.
Albert looked into the basket again and felt that most of the mushrooms Hagrid brought back from the Forbidden Forest were poisonous. Perhaps Hagrid himself had a strong resistance to poison, but if Albert ate some poisonous mushroom soup, he might need to be carried horizontally to the school hospital.
"Hagrid, I have to remind you..." Albert was about to speak when he was interrupted by a knock on the door.
He walked over and opened the door. It was Harry and Ron.
The two looked at Albert who opened the door in surprise.
"Harry, Ron, would you like to have lunch here and try the mushroom soup I just made." Hagrid turned his head to look at the newcomers and greeted them with a smile.
“Mushroom soup?”
Their attention was attracted by the cat on the table and the dog lying beside the table. After hearing Hagrid's words, they were stunned for a moment.
"Albert, you really should have some. These mushrooms are really delicious." Hagrid scooped a large spoonful for himself and put it in the bowl. The rich aroma of mushrooms filled the room.
"This smells delicious," said Ron.
"Give me some."
Harry walked over and looked at the mushroom soup which looked delicious.
The corner of Albert's mouth twitched. It would be a joke if the famous Harry Potter died after eating poisonous mushrooms.
"What about you?"
Hagrid filled Harry's bowl with another one.
Before Harry could start eating, a hand was placed on his shoulder, stopping him.
"Weasley, if you don't want to be poisoned, you'd better not touch that stuff." Albert reminded.
Ron shuddered with fright and almost dropped the wooden spoon in his hand.
"Don't talk nonsense, how come I'm fine after eating it?" Hagrid was stunned. He scooped a spoonful into his mouth, smacked it twice, and looked at Albert in confusion.
"Just because you're fine doesn't mean others are fine." Albert shook his head. "Of course, if you don't believe me, you can go and see the mushrooms Hagrid picked from the Forbidden Forest. Most of them are poisonous."
Harry looked at Albert suspiciously. He felt that the other party would not talk nonsense and there was no need to do so.
"real?"
Ron looked at Harry in confusion, then at Albert, and walked towards the basket. Of course, he couldn't actually tell which mushrooms were poisonous.
"Any brightly colored mushrooms are usually poisonous," Albert warned.
"Ron's expression is really not very good."
"Really?" Hagrid asked suspiciously, "Those mushrooms tasted delicious. He's already eaten half a bowl and nothing happened to him."
"If you don't believe it, just eat it." Albert shrugged, indicating that he had said everything he needed to say, and if they didn't believe it, there was nothing he could do.
