A wisp of silver gas spurted out quickly from the end of Albert's magic wand, forming a silver ball of light in the void, casting a pale shadow on the face of the person in the dim room.
With a creak, the door opened and the red-haired girl walked in. Her eyes fell on the ball of light floating in the air. She said gently, "I found that I couldn't enter the private library, so I guessed that you were probably practicing magic. By the way, was that a patronus just now?"
"Yeah." Albert dispersed his patronus and closed his eyes, and lights immediately lit up on the walls of the room.
"It is said that this is a very difficult magic to master." Isobel sat on the chair next to him, looked at Albert with a smile and asked, "How is your learning going?"
"I have mastered it." Albert sat opposite Isobel, looked at the girl in front of him and asked, "What is your patronus?"
"How do you know I have mastered the Patronus Charm?" Isobel took out her wand, waved it, and two teacups appeared out of thin air. She then poured the milk tea in the thermos into the cups and pushed one of them to Albert.
"Guess!"
Albert took out a box from his leather bag, which contained the sweets bought by Honeydukes. He looked up at Isobel's face with a faint smile, "With your ability and talent, it shouldn't be difficult for you to learn the Patronus Charm."
"It's a snow fox," Isobel said. "What's yours?"
"Griffin." Albert said helplessly.
"I think this patronus suits you very well. Why do you seem dissatisfied?" Isobel asked after taking a sip of milk tea.
Albert briefly talked about his concerns regarding Animagus.
"That's indeed what they say. However, when an Animagus transforms, as long as there's someone watching, it's unlikely to go wrong." Isobel really admired Albert's ability. He was only in the third grade, but he had already started to think about becoming an Animagus.
"Actually, I think the Snow Fox is quite suitable for me." Albert looked into Isobel's eyes and said, "At least, there is no trouble in this regard."
Isobel was just smiling and seemed very happy.
"However, Professor McGonagall promised to help me. At present, I still have no idea about Animagus." Albert thought for a while and said, "Well... there is no rush now. I plan to complete the Animagus transformation before graduation. As long as I take the first step, I believe I will succeed."
"I like your confidence, it's really charming." Isobel rested her chin on one hand and used the other hand to cut some pastry into her mouth. "By the way, what were you trying just now?"
"Try to use an advanced version of the Patronus Charm." Albert thought for a moment and said, "Try to hide the appearance of the Patronus, or... As far as I know, Headmaster Dumbledore has created an advanced version of the Patronus that can be used to transmit information."
You were trying that just now?" Isobel became interested. "Tell me how it works!"
Albert gave Isobel the information and intelligence he had obtained from Aberforth, as well as the diary he had kept during his training.
Seeing a notebook on how to practice the advanced Patronus Charm, Isobel suddenly understood where Albert's reputation as a genius came from.
It's not just about talent, it also requires hard work!
She spent five minutes carefully reading the notes Albert had given her. She closed her eyes, thought carefully, and said, "I think it may not be as difficult as you think. You will fail because you were most likely misled at the beginning, or that Headmaster Dumbledore's brother did not understand the essence at all. He taught you only his understanding, and his thinking is obviously completely different from yours. This is why you were wrong at the beginning."
"Was it wrong from the beginning?"
Albert raised his eyebrows, but still listened patiently to what Isobel had to say.
"Yes, it's too difficult to do two things at once." Isobel told Albert about her idea: "You can summon the patronus, implant what you want to say into the patronus, and then let the patronus pass on the message."
"Expect God to Guard!"
Albert immediately tried, concentrating his mind and projecting "Hello" into the patronus. He waved it gently, and the patronus landed on the table in front of them, saying Albert's version of "Hello".
It really worked!
Albert was very shocked. So what was that old man Aberforth teaching him
Until now, Albert still cannot make his brain repeat the content of the message while accumulating power
"Maybe I should write him a letter. If that doesn't work, I'll go ask Professor McGonagall." Albert tapped his forehead with his fingers. How could he have forgotten about Professor McGonagall
That person seems to be a member of the Order of the Phoenix and should be able to use the advanced Patronus Charm.
Even if Professor McGonagall doesn't want to teach, isn't there still Professor Flitwick
Humph!
If Aberforth dared to fool him with some fake things, Albert would accept it. He had indeed not considered it at the beginning, but he didn't mind causing some trouble for the other party.
Taking his money for nothing would be very hot.
"It seems that you succeeded." Isobel was also surprised. She just expressed her opinion, but she didn't expect Albert to succeed all of a sudden.
"You are such a genius, my dear Isobel. You know, I have been troubled by this for a long time." Albert happily stepped forward and gave her a hug. Looking at her face, Albert leaned over and kissed her.
After a few long minutes... maybe half an hour... or even a few days, the two separated.
Albert's heartbeat, which had been slightly accelerated, gradually calmed down, and he looked at Isobel with a grin.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it."
In fact, Albert had wanted to do this a long time ago. This was not the first time that the two of them were alone together, or on a date.
This time, it's more like letting things take their own course.
"Are we officially dating?" Isobel asked suddenly, stroking her lips with her index finger.
"I thought we started dating a long time ago."
"That's true."
The two looked at each other and smiled.
"By the way, thank you for your birthday present. This is for you." Albert took out a two-way mirror from his leather bag and handed it to Isobel. "I was originally planning to give it to you on your birthday. However, I'll give it to you as your birthday present in advance!"
"You succeeded?"
Isobel took the new two-way mirror and asked curiously. She knew Albert was researching two-way mirrors, but she didn't expect him to make one so quickly, which really surprised her.
"No, this is a finished product given to me by someone else." Albert took out another box from the leather bag. "At present, this is the only thing I can make."
As he spoke, he opened the box and took out a silver metal card that was slightly larger than the wizard card and handed it to Isobel. On it was a relief of a griffon and a line of words: Do not disturb the dragon's sleep.
"You just need to change the text behind the bookmark and it will be displayed here." Albert introduced the usage of communication bookmarks.
"It seems that you are good at using the advanced transformation spell. Is this the prototype of the communication blueprint you proposed?" Isobel used her wand to erase the text on it, making this sentence appear behind the bookmark.
"Yeah!" Albert said helplessly, "Unfortunately, I found that its practicality is far less than I imagined. If we want to make this thing popular, there is still a long way to go."
Wizards can Apparate and communicate through the fireplace when necessary. However, Albert thinks that this kind of thing will become popular after a few years of chaos in the wizarding world.
"Although this thing is not as practical as a two-way mirror, students who are in love will like it." Isobel said with a smile, "I promise."
"I believe in your judgment. In fact, I think so too." Albert said with a smile, "Of course, it would feel better to have a secret date together."
