Albert opened his eyes amidst the sound of whispers and found that his three roommates who often slept late were chatting excitedly about something.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Albert closed his eyes, put his hand up to hide a yawn, and drowsily reached for the silver pocket watch on the bedside table.
"It's only half past seven," he asked in confusion. "It's not necessary to go to Hogsmeade so early, right? Or are you too excited to sleep?"
"Are you really not going to Hogsmeade with us today?" Lee Jordan reminded again, "The girls are counting on you to introduce them to Hogsmeade."
"Don't you have me?" Albert sat on the edge of the bed, put on his slippers, and prepared to go to the bathroom to wash up. "I won't join in the fun. And don't tease Tom, or he'll scratch you with his claws."
"Who did you meet?" Fred was happily counting his Galleons, while George next to him was recording the items they needed to buy.
"A beautiful girl, are you satisfied?" Albert said unhappily.
"Who, who is that beautiful girl?"
"Take your time to guess!"
While Albert was brushing his teeth, he suddenly heard Lee Jordan's screams coming from the dormitory. Apparently, this annoyed Tom who was sleeping, and he was scratched by the cat as a result.
"If you don't seek death, you won't die. Why don't you understand?" Albert shook his head gently and washed his face vigorously with a wrung-out towel. The cold water washed away the remaining sleepiness in his brain and made Albert completely sober.
When I returned to the room, I saw Lee Jordan checking the scratches on his arm while cursing. Fred and George were gloating beside him and teasing him from time to time.
Tom had left his nest and was lying on the enhanced cat climbing frame that Albert had made for him. He yawned with his mouth wide open and glanced at the three funny guys below.
"You're such a fat cat, how come you're so agile?" Lee Jordan muttered. "That's not normal at all!"
"No matter how fat a cat is, it is still a predator." Albert opened the window. The sky was gray and a cold wind blew in, making the people in the room shiver.
"It's going to rain!" he said.
"If you don't tell me, it won't rain. And close the windows." Fred couldn't help complaining. He felt that if it really rained later, it would be Albert's fault.
"Stop talking nonsense, maybe some fresh air will help clear your heads." Albert bent down and began to prepare breakfast for Tom.
Even though food rations were already controlled, Tom still tended to gain weight. The only thing that made Albert happy was that Tom was much stronger than before.
It stopped gaining weight and started gaining meat instead.
Albert stroked Tom's smooth fur to comfort himself.
"If I don't come back in the afternoon, Kara will come over later to prepare lunch for you. And you are not allowed to eat secretly or run around in the castle. If I see you get yourself dirty, I will deduct your dried fish for a month." Albert kept giving instructions. Now the food given to Tom was rationed, and each ton of rice was measured with a brass scale. He was laughed at by his three roommates for this.
"Meow!"
Tom stared at the brass scale with hostility in his eyes. He had tried to destroy this annoying thing that limited his rations, but failed, and his daily food was still strictly controlled.
"Remember not to run around!" Albert reminded again before following his roommate downstairs to the common room.
Tom can already walk sideways in the Gryffindor common room. Everyone knows that this fat cat is Albert's pet. Tom himself is also very cute and is loved by the girls.
Albert once suspected that the reason Tom became fat was because the Gryffindor girls fed him food, although he once told those girls not to do that.
On the way to the restaurant, they met Professor Quirrell again.
This Defense Against the Dark Arts professor always roams around the fourth floor like a ghost, and everyone says that Professor Quirrell is trying to prevent students from entering the restricted area on the fourth floor.
Albert sneered at this, he knew why the other party was always wandering around the fourth floor.
When Professor Quirrell saw Albert, he quickly turned the corner and moved away from Albert, the human-shaped questioning machine. He had had enough of those endless tricky questions.
"Professor Quirrell doesn't seem to want to meet you!" Fred said playfully, patting Albert's shoulder.
"That's not true."
"Don't kid yourself."
"He certainly doesn't want you to ask any more questions."
"If you asked me this question every day, I would avoid you when I see you."
A few of them went downstairs playfully, and put away the smiles on their faces after entering the hallway.
There is no way. Anyone who meets the administrator holding a cat with a gloomy face will take the initiative to stop smiling and stay away from him.
Filch was in a bad mood. He really didn't like Hogwarts students going to Hogsmeade, because every time the students came back, there would be a lot of annoying people in the school who liked to throw dung balls everywhere, which would always increase his daily workload and bring him a lot of trouble.
Just as I was about to have breakfast, a drizzle started falling from the sky above my head.
This kind of weather is very common during the rainy season in October, but the bad weather ruined everyone's good mood for going to Hogsmeade.
After all, you can't stroll around Hogsmeade properly when it rains.
"By the way, which girl did you date? We didn't even know you already had a girlfriend?"
The topic came full circle and returned to Albert.
Li Jordan didn't envy Albert for finding a girlfriend, he was just curious and wanted to tease Albert about this.
Several girls nearby put down the food in their hands, turned their heads to look over here, and were also very curious about this matter.
"Katrina?" Fred guessed.
Perhaps she heard someone calling her name, so Katrina turned her head and looked over.
To be honest, most students at their age are still in a confused state about so-called love. They may have some feelings for a girl, but they have no so-called concept of love.
"No, eat your bread." Albert glanced at Katrina, then turned to look at Lee Jordan, who was particularly fond of gossip. Seeing that he was not prepared to shut up, he took the piece of bread and stuffed it into his hand.
Lee Jordan shut up and went on eating his breakfast so Albert wouldn't have to shut him up.
The girls were all very disappointed and wanted to know who Albert’s girlfriend would be
"You're really not going with us?"
After dinner, Fred asked again before leaving.
"I'm waiting for someone, you guys go first!" Albert politely refused.
"See, I told him that he must have found a girlfriend without telling us. Humph, don't hide it because we will definitely know who that beautiful girl is by then..." Lee Jordan suddenly shut up, his tongue stuck to his upper palate, unable to speak. He was taken away by Fred and George.
As for the girls, they didn't need Lee Jordan to introduce them to Hogsmeade.
Filch and his cat were standing by the oak door in the entrance hall, registering the Hogwarts students who were about to leave school.
During the brief period of time, the caretaker also caught two younger students who tried to follow him to Hogsmeade.
After most of the students left, the administrator rolled up the long parchment, tapped it on his right palm, and stared at Albert with dissatisfaction. Then, he coughed hard, as if to signal Albert to sign and get out quickly.
Albert pretended not to hear.
"I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long."
At half past eight, Isobel appeared in the hallway on time. This beautiful girl seemed to have spent some time dressing up, with a princess hairstyle, very beautiful.
"Just in time!" Albert took out his pocket watch and glanced at the time. "Very punctual."
The two looked at each other for a while.
Albert smiled and said, "Then... shall we go?"
They signed with Filch and walked towards the school gate together.
