Chapter 42: Late

Views:

"Are you early?" Albert looked around the auditorium and didn't see George and the other two. He reached into his pocket, took out his pocket watch and checked the time: 4:10.

Just in time.

"But, that's true."

Albert suddenly thought of something and couldn't help but sigh. George and the other two were only eleven years old, and he couldn't expect them to have much sense of time.

What's more, the three of them didn't have pocket watches!

"Hope you don't keep me waiting too long," he murmured.

Albert, who had nothing to do, took out his wand and wiped the fingerprints off it with a handkerchief, while recalling the relevant knowledge about summoning in the theory of transformation.

"The chrysanthemums are in bloom." He whispered.

Well, nothing happened.

Albert immediately checked his skill list and suddenly found someone sitting next to him.

Not twins, I should say. If there were three of them, they wouldn't be so quiet.

Albert glanced at the skills, but didn't find any summoning skills. As expected, he had to borrow a fifth-grade book to read.

"Is there something wrong?" Albert looked at Shanna and asked.

"Um... can I..." Shanna hesitated, and was interrupted before she finished speaking.

"Albert, this way..." The twins were waving at him at the entrance of the auditorium.

"I have to go." Albert looked at Shanna and asked, "What did you want to say just now?"

"Nothing." Shanna looked a little disappointed.

"If you want me to teach you Transfiguration, I'm afraid I can't do that now. I have an appointment later." Albert recalled the problems he encountered when he first learned magic and comforted him, "Don't be too anxious. Getting started is the most difficult. It took me a long time to learn Transfiguration."

"Oh, thank you." Shanna thought for a moment and said, "Can you spare some time tonight..."

"If you have time, it's not impossible... Then... See you tonight!" Albert walked quickly out of the auditorium.

"See you tonight." Sana looked at Albert's departing back and whispered softly, "Why is the gap so big?"

"What were you talking about just now?" Fred asked curiously.

"Are you talking about where you're going?" Albert said unhappily, "The time you agreed to meet with Charlie is almost up."

"You know, we don't have pocket watches." The three of them looked a little embarrassed, and they naturally knew that they were late just now.

"I don't blame you. I knew you would be late." Albert looked up at the sky. The weather was still a bit sultry in the afternoon.

"By the way, will your brother really let us try flying on his broom?" Lee Jordan stiffly changed the subject.

Lee Jordan was a little nervous when it came to flying on a broom. After all, he had never tried a flying broom before. Although his family had bought him a toy broom, it couldn't fly high or fast, and it couldn't fly in front of Muggles.

"Yes, if he is a qualified captain, he won't mind spending some time to see if there are any new students who can fly well. Even if they can't join the team in the first year, they can wait until next semester as reserve players." Albert comforted casually.

"Albert is right." George reached out and patted Lee Jordan's shoulder, threateningly, "I think the problem you need to worry about most is not falling off your broom."

"You'll fall from mid-air." Li Jordan glared at George unhappily.

"Albert, have you ever played with a broom before?" Fred asked suddenly.

"I was born in a Muggle family, what do you think?" Albert rolled his eyes at Fred and bent down to pick up a small stone from the ground.

"Why are you picking up that broken stone?" George was a little puzzled.

"You'll know in a moment." Albert tossed the small stone in his hand and did not directly answer George's question.

The four of them came to the Quidditch field playfully, and Charlie had not arrived yet. The time they agreed on was 4:30 in the afternoon.

"I think your brother might show up later." Albert came to the entrance of the Quebec Stadium, and the door was locked. However, this could not stop them. Albert used the Alaho Opening Charm to easily open the iron door.

There is a soft lawn at the bottom of the Quidditch pitch and sand in the middle to reduce the damage caused by players falling from it during the game.

There were hundreds of chairs in the surrounding stands, and at each end of the court there were three poles, each fifty feet high, with a large ring on top, shaped a bit like the small plastic sticks that children use to blow soap bubbles.

"Charlie must be late." Fred was a little depressed.

"What are you doing now? I should have come later." George also regretted coming so early, and they didn't have a broom of their own, which was undoubtedly a very bad thing.

"You can practice spells." Albert sat in the shade of the lawn and kindly reminded the three people: "Practice the luminous spell. You are free anyway, so find something to do."

"Okay, you're right." The three of them were a little depressed, but they had to admit that Albert was right. Since they had nothing to do anyway, they might as well find something to do so that time would pass faster.

Albert also drew out his wand and began to practice the Disillusionment Charm with the stone he had just picked up.

"Now, I know why you were able to learn the spell so quickly." Li Jordan stared at his flashing wand, feeling a little depressed.

No matter who practices like this, there is no reason why they can't learn it unless they are really stupid!

Of course, if they knew that Albert had a cheat, they might not think so.

It was almost five o'clock when Charlie Weasley hurried over, bringing his broom with him... a broom that could sweep five stars.

Of course, the twins specifically introduced this thing to Albert, and only then did he know the name of this thing. He heard that it was an older broom.

"How did you get in? I remember there should be a lock here." Charlie looked at the four people walking towards him in confusion.

"Use the Unlocking Charm, of course." The twins said matter-of-factly.

"Hehe, don't use that tone. It makes it sound like you can use the unlocking spell." Li Jordan couldn't help but complain.

"It's not your turn to drive it anyway." George rolled his eyes at Li Jordan and said unhappily.

"Okay, the test is going to be very simple. You just need to ride my broom around the Quidditch field!" Charlie looked at Albert and Lee Jordan and asked, "Have you ever ridden a flying broom?"

"No." Albert answered simply.

"I've only ever ridden a toy broom," Lee Jordan muttered under his breath.

“After they finish flying, you can try it too!” Charlie did not reject the friends brought by the twins. He turned his head and looked at the twin brothers who were fighting for the broom, and warned: “You two, fly around the Quidditch field honestly. If I find out what tricks you are doing... hehe!”
