Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 454: omen

On weekends, Albert woke up early in the morning.

no way.

At six o'clock in the morning, when it was just getting light, Wood knocked on the dormitory door, woke up Fred and George who were still asleep, and took them to the Quidditch field for early practice.

Naturally, the other unfortunate people in the dormitory were also woken up. Amid Lee Jordan's complaints, Albert was about to close his eyes and take a nap, but found that he could not fall asleep.

While eating breakfast, Albert held back a yawn and casually flipped through the new issue of the Daily Prophet.

He was reading a report by Rita Skeeter, and his sleepiness suddenly disappeared. Although the whole article was mocking the incompetence of the Ministry of Magic, Albert could gather the general content from the article: the Ministry of Magic was looking for a wizard named Jack because that guy smuggled dragon eggs into the UK without authorization, and now Jack has disappeared.

Dragon eggs mentioned in the newspaper

This should be a sign that many things do not happen for no reason.

It seems that Quirrell has most likely already obtained the dragon egg.

In order to avoid arousing Hagrid's suspicion, Quirrell could not give the dragon egg directly to Hagrid. He had to wait until Hagrid went to the Hog's Head Inn for a drink before he had the opportunity to disguise himself as a peddler and treat Hagrid to a drink and get him drunk.

"Is there any interesting news in the newspaper?" Lee Jordan asked, also holding back his yawn.

"That reporter named Rita Skeeter is very good at catching everyone's attention." Albert smiled and closed the Daily Prophet.

"Rita Skeeter loves to talk nonsense." Fred dragged his tired body into the hall. He was exhausted and hungry now, and he could swallow almost anything.

"But you can't deny that everyone likes to listen to her nonsense." George sat down next to Albert and began to complain loudly to them that Wood was a training maniac.

"By the way, we are going to do homework later. Do you want to join us?" Albert looked at Fred and George and suddenly asked, "I remember you haven't finished your homework this week!"

"We're going to the library to find some information later." Fred couldn't help but move his head to the side. He would rather ask someone for help later.

Albert gathered all the Gryffindor students in his class together to make up for the unfinished homework on weekends, and they could communicate with each other about the things they didn't understand.

It's a study group.

Fred and George stuffed large amounts of food into their mouths hastily, then slipped away when no one was looking.

Lee Jordan shouted the slogan "Never lend your homework to Fred and George" and began to do his own homework. He was the only one among the group of people who had not finished. Fred and George were supposed to do their homework with him, but unfortunately, those two bastards ran away on their own.

Sana was practicing the Happy Charm with Angelina. Professor Flitwick had hinted more than once that the Happy Charm would be tested in the final exam, so the Happy Charm was the spell that everyone focused on reviewing.

"I think Sana has a good chance of winning again this time." Lee Jordan looked up and said, "Although this year's Wizard Card Competition is much better than the last one, there are still not many people who are really good at playing Wizard Cards. Among the top eight selected yesterday, there weren't many really good ones... Okay, okay, I get it. Can't I just talk too much?"

Lee Jordan shut up obediently under the gaze of a group of people.

"That Miss Isobel is very unusual." Sana looked up and glanced at Albert who was busy writing his paper, and muttered softly. She was not proud and complacent. Isobel put a lot of pressure on Sana. She was obviously someone who didn't play the wizard card much, but she easily made it to the quarterfinals.

Is this true genius

"Is the reward for the champion still 10 Galleons this time?" Angelina was a little depressed because she was eliminated in the round of 16 yesterday.

"Well, it's still ten Galleons."

The original discussion disappeared again.

"I remember you made it to the quarterfinals, right?" Ron, who was busy doing his homework a few tables away from them, suddenly looked up and said

For some reason, Harry felt that Ron's tone was sour.

"What are you going to do with the money?" Ron asked again, as if he had already determined that Hermione would win a wizard card tournament.

"You only get ten Galleons if you win the championship." Hermione couldn't help but remind her after she finished memorizing the twelve uses of dragon blood.

"Yeah, Champion, I really don't know what's the point of him paying for this competition." Ron looked at Albert who was busy writing a paper not far away, and muttered quietly, "Wouldn't it be better to use this amount of Galleons to buy something?"

Ron thought of Fred and George again. He could always hear the crisp sound of gold coins in the pockets of those two bastards.

"Look, here we go again." Ron muttered to himself, and then he saw Fred and George walk into the hall, almost trotting towards this side. As they put a book in front of Albert, they kept muttering: "We found it, look at this, we found it!"

Fred noticed that many people were staring at him, and he smiled awkwardly and said, "Sorry, I hope I didn't disturb you."

Albert glanced at the parchment that he had almost smudged, glared at Fred in dissatisfaction, and then shifted his gaze to the book in front of him.

"Mottla Rat?"

“Look at this…” George raised his hand excitedly and pointed to a passage in the book: “People bitten by Mothra rats will experience symptoms of dry heaving.

When George read this, Albert understood why the twins were so excited. Were they planning to use the Mortra rat to make vomit candy

Albert continued to read softly: "In more serious cases, sparks may come out of the anus."

There is no doubt that if used properly, it can create a very interesting joke prop, and the anus with sparks coming out will definitely be popular among students.

"It seems that this is a mouse that is full of treasures." Lee Jordan leaned forward and muttered vaguely after reading all the contents of the book.

"It's Murtramouse," Fred corrected cheerfully.

Lee Jordan was right, though, the Murtras did have many uses. The growths on their backs could be pickled and eaten to provide protection from curses, but eating too much of them could give a person unsightly purple ear hair.

Wizards often use Mothra Rat Juice to mix potions, and even when used directly, it can heal cuts and scrapes and reduce pain.

"We're thinking about where to get this thing. It's not cheap to buy one." George said with a frown.

"You can find Mundungus Fletcher, maybe he can help you get some." Albert suggested, "And you don't need a Murtera Rat, just ask that guy to help you get some Murtera Rat raw materials."

"You're right, maybe we can give it a try." Fred thought about it and felt that it made sense. They had already looked up the information and knew that wizards who raised Mortra rats would only harvest the anemone-like growths on their backs, which was also the most valuable part of this magical creature.

As for the possible need for the teeth of the Mothra rat, perhaps Mundungus could help them get some, and the price should not be too expensive.

"What are they doing?" Sana asked in confusion as she watched the twins leave. "Don't they have to do their homework?"

"Don't worry about them." Albert shook his head. "Those two guys will be here soon to do their homework, unless they want to be put in solitary confinement."

Sure enough, after Fred and George finished writing the letter, they came over to do homework together. Their foundation was pretty solid, and although they had been completely distracted this semester, with Albert's help, their schoolwork was not too bad.

As for Mundungus Fletch, he directly offered a price of three Galleons for one Mortra Rat, and a low price of five Galleons for two.

When he received the letter, he secretly went to the beach and spent a lot of time catching two Murtra rats, preparing to resell them to the Weasley twin brothers.

Fred and George refused to pay for the two Murtras, and wrote to Mundungus Fletcher to say that they only wanted the Murtras' incisors and growths.

Mundungus was so angry after receiving the letter that he refused to sell the incisors of the Motla rat to the twins.

Not long after, Mundungus obtained a bunch of Murtra rat incisors from somewhere and planned to sell them to the Weasley twins for the high price of two Sickles each.

After some bargaining, Mundungus finally agreed to the deal and threatened in a letter that he would never sell anything to them again.

Albert and his companions scoffed at the threats made by Mundungus in the letter.
