Chapter 497: Cat washing notes

Views:

"Tom, stop running around. You're making the floor dirty."

Nia, wearing an apron, hurried out of the bathroom, glaring at the fat cat in the hall who was trying to get under the sofa but was stuck.

“Meow meow meow!”

After Tom was picked up, his shrill cry echoed in the hall. Most cats don't like bathing, and Tom is no exception.

However, for Nia, who likes cleanliness, her cat will never run into her room unless it takes a good bath.

God knows how dirty Tom got himself living in that old castle. He might even have fleas.

"There's no use shouting. You must wash it clean today, otherwise you'll never be able to eat dried fish again." Nia put her hands on her hips and glared at the fat cat who had just broken free from her and forced his way into the sofa.

"Albert, Albert, come down and help."

Nia walked to the stairs and shouted to Albert upstairs.

The door creaked open, and Albert put down the homework he had just finished and went downstairs in his boots.

As soon as he entered the hall, Albert saw Nia squatting in front of the sofa, dragging a pair of cat paws in her hands, trying to pull Tom out from under the sofa.

"What's wrong?" Albert saw the water stains on the ground, looked at Nia who was wearing an apron, and asked, "Are you going to give Tom a bath?"

"Come and help." Nia urged, "That guy is so dirty. He even tried to run into my room last night. I was so mad."

"Move the sofa first." Albert said, "Come and help."

"Don't you know how to use magic?" Nia let go of Tom's claws and went over to help move the sofa, but she still complained dissatisfiedly: "This should be easy for you!"

"You can't use magic at home," Albert explained. "You should know that."

The two of them moved the sofa together, and Albert took advantage of Tom's retreat back into the sofa to pick up the cat. However, his clothes were also wet by the water stains on Tom's body.

"It's really troublesome. If people are not allowed to use magic, then what's the point of learning magic?" Nia followed Albert into the bathroom.

This time, Nia closed the bathroom door and didn't give Tom a chance to escape.

Albert looked at Nia who was angry, and said with a smile, "It is indeed troublesome that it cannot be used."

"You certainly didn't give Tom a bath at school!"

"I've washed Tom several times, but I never washed Tom." Albert put Tom back into the bathtub, and the fat cat immediately struggled in the water. It just didn't like touching water. When Nia took the shower head and prepared to bathe Tom, it struggled even harder. If others heard the shrill cry, they would think they were abusing animals.

"That won't work. Wait a moment." Albert put Tom down and walked out of the bathroom.

"What are you going to do?" Nia asked confusedly.

"Get some food for Tom, and keep him quiet."

"If food worked, I wouldn't have to ask you for help." Nia muttered. She had tried it just now and it didn't work at all.

Albert came back very quickly, and he only brought a small dried fish.

"it's useless"

However, Nia soon discovered that Tom had become quiet after eating the dried fish. Or should I say, he seemed to... fall asleep

"I added a small amount of magic potion to the dried fish. Okay, help Tom take a bath as soon as possible!" Albert noticed Nia's surprised expression and explained casually. He reached out to help hold Tom's head and let Nia apply shower gel to the fat cat.

Even though Tom was quiet, giving a cat a bath was still a big job.

Twenty minutes later, Albert came out of the bathroom carrying Tom wrapped in a towel, and fed him some water mixed with vitality potion, thus waking up the cat prince.

"I am so exhausted."

Nia looked at Tom, who was shaking his fat body, with resentment on her face. Albert was using a hair dryer to help Tom dry the water off his body.

"If you're tired, take a rest!" Albert turned Tom over and blew on his belly.

"No, let me do it."

Nia took the hair dryer from Albert and rubbed Tom, who was lying on the towel, back and forth.

"Tom is getting fatter and fatter. I thought you would help him lose weight."

"It's not easy to make a fat person lose weight." Albert said helplessly.

To date, the task of helping Tom lose weight is still hanging on the task panel and has not been completed.

Albert took out two bottles of homemade bubble tea from the refrigerator, handed one to Nia, and asked, "How are you doing in school? Have you made good friends?"

"Of course."

Nia raised her chin and said, "Jenny, Shirley... um, why are you asking these questions?"

"Nothing, just asking casually." Albert put the bubble tea on the table and went back to his room to change his clothes.

"By the way, I heard from Herb that he wants to promote this."

"They don't plan to be lawyers anymore, but to open a milk tea shop?" Albert asked with a smile.

"No." Nia shook her head and said, "It seems that Uncle Charlie is interested in bubble tea."

Charlie is Daisy's younger brother, a half-baked chef. It is said that he opened a restaurant in London that specializes in British cuisine.

As for the taste.

Well, the Andersons never ate at Uncle Charlie's restaurant anyway.

“Well, Uncle Charlie asked me a while ago, what do you like?” Nia glanced at Albert secretly and said with a strange expression: “It seems that I want to come to discuss this with you.”

"You want to discuss this with me?"

"Daisy's suggestion is to let Uncle Charlie come and talk to you in person." Nia put down the cup and picked up the hair dryer again to blow Tom's tail.

"She probably thinks Uncle Charlie isn't as smart as you are, and isn't as shrewd as you are about certain things, so she needs your help and advice."

"Why didn't Daisy tell me directly?" Albert never thought that he would be the person who promoted bubble milk tea to the UK.

"You just got on vacation, and Daisy doesn't want to disturb you for the time being. Besides, you are not short of money, so you can win the prize by buying any lottery ticket as long as you are willing." Nia pulled back Tom who was about to slip away.

Letting Nia tell Albert about this is just a precautionary measure.

After dinner, Daisy told Albert about this in person.

Of course, if Charlie wants to make money from bubble tea, he will have to pay a price.

It’s about 20% profit.

Of course they knew that Albert would not be short of money, but Herb and Daisy did not want Albert to make money through lottery.

After all, this kind of thing happens too frequently and one day someone will find out.

Albert agreed.

He also found that Daisy adhered to the habits of a lawyer in some aspects, and would not show any leniency even to her own brother.

In Daisy's words, whether you need it or not is one thing, and whether you give it or not is another.
