Chapter 51: Marauder's Map

"Fred, George, what are you doing here?" Albert pretended to be surprised as he looked at his roommates who were mopping the floor with their buttocks raised.

"Mopping," Fred said dryly.

"By the way, how come I didn't know you guys were so hardworking?" Lee Jordan looked at the twin brothers with a gloating look on his face. Dung bombs are not easy to clean, especially since Filch didn't give them any cleaning agents. It's impossible to clean them with just a mop and a rag.

"This is what happens when you throw dungbombs into the corridor," Filch said to the people who had stopped to watch. "Don't think you can get away with doing bad things."

"Don't worry, I will ask for leave for you from the Defense Against the Dark Arts class." Albert reached out and patted the twins' shoulders, comforting them.

"Why do I always feel that you are gloating?"

"Did they?" Albert turned his head to look at Lee Jordan and said, "No, who told them to throw dung bombs in the corridor and get caught by Filch?"

"I thought they would secretly throw dung bombs into the corridor." Li Jordan was also puzzled. Wouldn't this just cause trouble for themselves

Albert knew the reason, of course. If Filch wasn't around, he wouldn't mind using the Descaling Charm to help them avoid trouble. Unfortunately, Filch was watching them, so he couldn't do that.

It took Fred and George several hours to completely clean up the traces of the dung bombs in the corridors and offices.

They also missed lunch.

The two men, who were suffering from back pain, had to go to the kitchen to make a sandwich and were now sitting under a tree to eat.

"Where are the things? What did you take? Don't say you have nothing." George stuffed the sandwich in his hand into his mouth and looked at Fred, waiting for him to take out the prohibited items he got from the drawer.

"Got it. Look, here it is." Fred took the envelope from his pocket and handed it to George.

"What is this?" George looked at the old-looking envelope and turned it over. There was no sender and two sentences written on the envelope: I solemnly swear that I have done nothing good and the prank is over!

"Come and see what's inside?"

George quickly opened the envelope and found a large, square, very old piece of... parchment inside.

Well, it's just a piece of old parchment.

However, there was nothing written on the parchment.

"What is this?" George looked at his brother in confusion. They could all sense that there was some secret on this parchment, otherwise it would not have been placed in a highly dangerous drawer of confiscated supplies by Filch.

"Will a password be required?" Fred suddenly remembered the two sentences on the envelope, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

"Stupid, wand, use the wand." George took out his wand and put it against the parchment. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

Ink lines began to appear where the wand had just touched, merging and crisscrossing on the parchment like a spider web, and began to extend to every corner of the parchment.

"We actually need a password!" The twins' faces showed unconcealable excitement.

Sure enough, there is a secret hidden in this parchment.

"Look what this is?" Fred stared at the surface of the parchment and found that a line of words began to appear on the parchment:

Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief-Makers: Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs proudly present the Marauder's Map.

"Marauder's Map?" the twins read in unison. "This old parchment is actually a map."

"George, look, the ink spots on the parchment can actually move." Fred shared his discovery with his amazed twin brothers.

"Nonsense, otherwise why would it be called the Marauder's Map?"

The two of them got together to study the secrets of the Marauder's Map, and soon discovered that this map detailed the specific locations of Hogwarts Castle and the secret passages as well as the passwords to open the secret passages.

Finally, I don’t have to worry about not being able to open the door after finding the location of the secret passage.

Most importantly, it also marks each person's location with an ink dot.

Albert came out of the library and seemed to be preparing to return to the common room. Filch was on the fourth floor and Peeves, the mischievous ghost, was on the sixth floor.

"George..."

"Fred..."

"You say it first..." the two said in unison, and couldn't help laughing after confronting each other.

"Then let's talk together."

"Night tour."

The two looked at each other and couldn't help laughing again.

"From now on, when we go out at night, we don't have to worry about being caught by Filch even without the Disillusionment Charm."

"Yeah, that's great. There are still many secret passages up there that we haven't discovered yet."

"Try another password," Fred warned, holding his wand against the map and whispering, "The prank is over."

The next moment, the marks on the parchment gradually disappeared, and within a few seconds it turned back into a blank old parchment.

"The traces have been wiped off!" George said in surprise, "The maker really thought about it."

"If everyone knew about this kind of thing, it would definitely be spread to everyone." Fred thought for a moment and said, "It should be to prevent the secret of the parchment from being seen by others."

"Do you think Filch has figured out how to use this parchment? He knows the locations of so many secret passages better than any other student." George raised his doubts. "Also, why did he put the parchment in a drawer? I would definitely carry it with me."

"I don't know. Never mind. The Marauder's Map belongs to us now. Should we tell others?" The others George mentioned here refer to Albert and Lee Jordan.

"For now." After considering it, Fred shook his head and said, "The fewer people who know about it, the better."

"Don't forget, Albert knows about this." George said suddenly, "He must know what we took from Filch."

"But if we don't tell him, he definitely doesn't know about this thing." Fred raised his eyebrows.

In fact, the two didn't mind sharing the Marauder's Map with others, but they were also worried that someone with a big mouth would make them lose this good thing.

"Don't think too much. Let's go and check out other secret passages first." The twins looked at each other, then left arm in arm.

"Who do you think are the creators of this Marauder's Map: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs?"

"I think they must have been students of Hogwarts." George raised his hand and lightly touched the head of the statue, quickly opening a secret passage.

"Hurry up, someone is coming this way." Fred, who was staring at the map and keeping watch, reminded.

After the two hurriedly entered the secret passage, the statue was restored.

"Where does this secret passage lead to?" George made his wand light up, but unfortunately, he hadn't fully mastered the glowing spell yet, and it would suddenly go out after walking for a while.

"Fifth floor. Fred couldn't help but complain, "You haven't mastered the glowing charm yet!"

"You say that as if you've already mastered it."
