"Look over there!"
Despite the cover of darkness, many students still noticed the Ford car flying over the castle.
Professor McGonagall, who was welcoming the new students at the door, also walked down the stone steps, looked up at the direction where the car disappeared, and frowned deeply.
That's the direction of the Forbidden Forest, which is not good news.
Percy got off the carriage and, upon seeing Professor McGonagall at the door, he immediately walked up to Professor McGonagall and acted like a student who was reporting something to the teacher.
When Albert and his companions walked in, they heard Percy talking to Professor McGonagall about the Ford car. Albert clearly saw the muscles on Professor McGonagall's face twitching. The vice-headmaster was obviously very angry.
There was no way around it. No matter who it was, they would think that Harry Potter and Ron Weasley drove a flying Ford car to school purely to show off.
"Okay, everyone, go in, the dinner is about to begin!"
Professor McGonagall shouted to the students who were still looking towards the Forbidden Forest. Then she called Nearly Headless Nick and asked him to report the matter to Dumbledore.
In the auditorium, Dumbledore fell into a brief silence after receiving the news from Nearly Headless Nick. Several professors beside him also began to whisper after hearing the words.
"Severus."
Dumbledore turned his head to Snape who was sitting not far away and said, "I need you to find Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley and bring them back to school. I hope they won't run too far."
"Do you need my help?" Lockhart ignored the strange looks from his colleagues and offered himself with a smile, "Finding people is my specialty. I once tracked a Yeti in the Himalayas and successfully found it."
"No need, Gilderoy." Dumbledore politely refused: "You just came to school, and you need to meet everyone tonight."
"You are too lenient, so they ignore the law restricting underage wizards from using magic." Snape did not forget to express his own opinion, "Perhaps, they should be expelled so that all students can learn from them."
"Thank you for your suggestion Severus, I think we need to find them first and figure out the situation."
"I'll find them."
Snape understood what Dumbledore meant, stood up from the guest of honor seat, walked away with a gloomy face, and went to look for Harry Potter, who liked to stir up trouble everywhere.
On the way, Snape heard many students talking about coming to school by car. For most students, whether it violated school rules or was dangerous were secondary. In their eyes, coming to school by car was really cool.
It was not difficult for Snape to find the whereabouts of the two students. The tracking spell allowed Snape to quickly find the Ford car. They had hit the Whomping Willow and were being beaten by the magical tree.
However, the two people in the car were safe and sound, which made Snape breathe a sigh of relief.
Looking at the Whomping Willow waving its branches to hit the car, Snape recalled an unpleasant past event. Just as he was about to rescue the Ford car from the branches of the Whomping Willow, Potter and Weasley had successfully broken free from the Whomping Willow and escaped by luck.
Looking at the two disheveled people and the Ford car driving away alone, Snape had no intention of showing up for the time being. He cast an Disillusionment Charm on himself and silently followed the two exhausted people back to the castle.
Looking at the two embarrassed people, Snape felt inexplicably good for some reason.
Compared to Snape, Albert was not in such a good mood.
The youngest international wizard chess champion has never felt so popular.
Along the way, a large number of students came over to greet him and seemed to want to say a few words to him. People around him looked at him secretly, gathered together and whispered to each other. The whole corridor was echoed with the students' whispers.
Albert could only pretend that he didn't see or hear them and simply ignored them.
"It's hard to imagine that anyone would actually drive to school."
Shanna was chatting with Alia and Angelina beside her. When she saw Albert and the others, she smiled and greeted them: "Congratulations, you are the youngest wizard chess champion. Newspapers and weekly magazines have been discussing you for most of the summer vacation."
Albert felt a little stomachache when he heard this. The corridor finally came to the end.
There were four long college tables in the auditorium, with candles floating above the tables, illuminating the excited faces of the students.
Everyone was talking animatedly, exchanging summer news or loudly greeting friends from other colleges.
Of course, most of the students were talking about the Ford car incident. Although only a few people noticed the car, the matter had already spread among the students.
Albert and his companions left the crowd and sat at the Gryffindor table. The girls asked Albert about foreign affairs.
Compared to the news that someone rode a car to school, Albert's love affair scandal attracted more girls' attention.
Now, Albert, who has won the International Wizard Chess Championship and is famous, has great appeal to all girls.
Albert could only perfunctorily talk about some of his experiences in foreign countries. As for his love history, sorry, there was no such thing. He was a very focused person, so how could he have a foreign girlfriend!
"There's an empty seat in the teacher's seat." After sitting down, Fred whispered to his companion beside him, "Snape seems to be missing?"
"Maybe he's ill," Lee Jordan said maliciously.
"Don't be silly, Snape probably went to find Potter and Weasley." Albert looked at his friend who was wondering if Snape was fired, and immediately interrupted, "Someone needs to find out where those two guys went."
Soon, the hall gradually became quiet, and Professor McGonagall began to preside over the sorting ceremony.
The Sorting Hat began to sing the new song it had been thinking about for a year, and the freshmen were sorted into their respective houses amid applause.
However, when the Sorting Ceremony was halfway through, whispers were heard in the hall. Someone saw Harry and Ron appear at the entrance of the hall, and then they were taken away by Snape who suddenly appeared.
There is no doubt that the students who came to school in the Ford car were the famous Harry Potter and his good friend Ron Weasley.
Amid the students' whispers, the Sorting Hat continued.
When Ginny Weasley was sorted into Gryffindor, Percy led the applause and said in an exaggerated tone, "Well, Ginny, that's great."
This made Ginny feel a little embarrassed, and she looked down at the plate in front of her.
Snape hurried back shortly after the Sorting Hat ceremony ended, and Dumbledore, who was about to say a few words, stopped.
The hall fell into dead silence, and everyone stared at Snape who was talking to Dumbledore.
Students in the front row could faintly hear:
I found them... car hit the Whomping Willow... nobody's okay... in my office or something like that.
Then, Professor McGonagall followed Snape and left.
After Dumbledore said a few simple words and announced the start of the banquet, he quickly left behind Snape and Professor McGonagall.
"What did they say?"
"It seems that Potter and Weasley hit the Whomping Willow with their car. He is fine and is in his Potions office."
"I dare say this will be something people will talk about for years to come," Lee Jordan said excitedly. "Maybe we should make this into a wizard card."
"Okay, as long as you are happy." Albert began to enjoy the food and didn't want to join in the discussion of the people around him.
When the three professors returned to the auditorium, they did not see Harry and Ron. Many people were discussing whether they had been expelled.
When dining, people gather around three things:
Albert won the International Wizarding Chess Championship, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Gerald Lockhart, and Harry Potter came to school by car.
Albert cleverly diverted the girls' attention to Lockhart.
The various deeds of this handsome uncle attracted the girls' attention.
It is undeniable that handsome boys or beautiful and generous girls are more popular with everyone.
Although Albert is handsome enough, he has a girlfriend and other girls are no longer interested in him.
Before the end of the banquet, Dumbledore announced that Gilderoy Lockhart would fill the vacant Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
Lockhart was warmly welcomed by the girls. It has to be said that he was very popular among the girls.
"What's wrong?" Lee Jordan noticed the strange expression on Albert's face and asked in a low voice.
"I'm afraid this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts class is doomed." Albert said silently, shaking his lips slightly.
In the corridor leading to the secret entrance of Gryffindor Tower, Fred couldn't help but ask, "You think Lockhart is not good at Defense Against the Dark Arts?"
"Lockhart doesn't give me a very good impression." Albert said, "Besides, you probably didn't notice the attitudes of other professors towards him."
"What attitude?" George asked curiously. He really didn't notice it.
"Disgusting." Albert said with a strange expression, "Even Snape didn't get treated like this."
"Password?"
the fat lady in pink silk asked as they approached the painting.
"The password is 'honey-eater'" George noticed the others' puzzled looks and explained, "I asked Percy."
In the Gryffindor common room, many students had not yet gone to bed and were all crowded here waiting for them.
"You are so welcome."
"Don't be silly, they are waiting for Harry Potter." Albert couldn't help rolling his eyes.
"They haven't returned to the common room yet?"
"Many people say that both of them have been expelled from school." A senior boy answered Lee Jordan's question.
"Definitely not. I'll go upstairs first. You guys keep waiting. Good night!" As he said that, he squeezed towards the door at the other end of the common room, preparing to return to the bedroom via the spiral staircase.
When Albert changed into his pajamas and prepared to rest, he heard warm applause from downstairs. It was obvious that Harry and Ron had returned to the common room.
"That's good. Someone helps share the pressure." Albert muttered. Looking at the cat bed that had been carefully cleaned by the house-elf, he suddenly missed his Tom.
